It’s probably bad but the only reason why I would love to have a Subaru WRX STI it’s just to be able to hear that rumble while I’m driving. Good video by the way and keep going despite any negative comments 👍
not bad at all, I love how these cars sound there’s nothing like it. just don’t be a psycho like me and leave it stock exhaust haha. Thanks for stopping in 👌🏼
this has some great filming quality tbh. i like the intro, your filming style is good and you keep talking about the car while showing clips and switching to let us hear it. Great video keep it up! I have a vb and I'm trying to make it my own
thank you sir 💪🏼 glad you appreciate the extra effort I put into these, just making stuff I’d want to see when I binge car RUclips haha. congrats on the VB! Solid cars forsure
Good video👍🏻, I love my 2011 wrx hatchback I plan to never sell it. one day I’ll get a STI ether a old one to work on or the last generation like yours I feel the only thing you need is a exhaust to unlock the rumble sound that alone will put a smile on your face. Just having the car is a joy itself I also think it is just the right amount of power for normal driving with a little bit of fun here and there. Couldn’t agree with you more!
thanks man 🙏🏼 haha I would love to one day own a hatchback, hope yours has been taking care of you. and yes, for me just getting into the car puts a smile even after the honeymoon phase wore off. Glad you enjoyed the discussion !
At the end of the day man, enjoy what you enjoy and don't second guess it. Sure your tastes/interests may change down the road (literally and figuratively) but if you love your STI, then enjoy it the way that you do! Who cares if the engine goes one day, there are countless resources out there to help get it running again and its not the end of the world (especially with someone like you who comes across as very prepared and disciplined compared to most individuals these days). Also, maybe its just me, but I've been lucky with the EJ in my 15' STI. Just broke 300K with the original powertrain; with ANY car, even performing religious maintenance isn't 100% guaranteed to keep things running. Everything breaks/fails/dies someday, that's just the way it is. But there is a very very high likelihood that as long as you take care of it, it'll take care of you, and the same thing can be said on the EJ motors (even if they do need a little more love than other brands out there).
couldn’t have said it any better, thanks for sharing this. im seeing more and more people share how reliable their cars actually are, making me think everything on social is rage/click bait haha. hoping mine gives me 100-200k minor-problem miles like yours 🙏🏼 take care
1:48 haha that was me. Nice video, as a va owner I agree with your points. As boring as the va may have been back then, I think it has aged quite nicely and its character has become more apparent as the automotive industry evolves. Cheers 🤙
heck yeah haha. that comment really stuck with me, and I appreciated the car more since. yeah wasn’t the most thrilled with the thing initially, I guess it just grows on you overtime 👌🏼
I stop you right off the beginning when you said they are not reliable,, that’s a 100% faulse statement, it’s not the car it’s the drivers , I have a bunch of them , my 11 STI hatch as over 100 k miles , doesn’t burn oil , never had a single problem in 14 years , crossed the country whit it 6 times now !!!
😂 here we go. If you own personal experience can relate to the 99% of us that take care of their subi’s, then I hope you’re more than right. Glad yours took care of you
I dont regret getting rid of my 21. The only thing I miss is the hydraulic steering. I spent about 40k building it to where it “reliably” made 530whp. I sold it and bought a mustang DH, and while some may argue that you cant use a mustang year round i disagree. Ive driven through snow storms and pouring rain and never had a single issue, its all in the tires. On dry pavement it handles just as good as the sti did.
nicee I’ve always been curious about mustang world. definitely think with the proper tires and skill you can drive it through almost anything. This mustang your daily also?
Glad you posted this today, just test drove the 2024 Wrx base model and thinking of setting on a deal around $29,000 sometime this week. I’m also looking at a 2021 model around $25,000 with 20k miles. Which one would you recommend with your experience.
Hmm. I think for that, might as well spend the extra 4k with 0 miles and history, and if you finance more likely to get a better rate on the new car vs used. I do think the VB is tuned better than the VA WRX. if my STI decided to blow up and I still wanted a WRX I’d actually go with the VB 👌🏼
Great quality video! Love the discussion, the expression of thoughts! Carry on!
thank you sir 🤠

“I’d rather be anxious than depressed driving a Model Y” 😂
He’ll have one in no time 😂
@ 😂😂
Haha, my sister told me my car looked like a corolla with a wing.
some corollas with a wing actually trick me 🥲

Have you test drove a Gr Corolla?
not yet but I’m sure I’d love it a little much 🤨 which is dangerous
