If the sound is faint like that it's usually a bad speaker or it could be that cp4 has gone bad. Also, there is a switch in the cartridge slot that switches it between Game Boy Color and Gameboy Advance mode that might be dirty.
@@wolfmanrepairs and I don't know if you've done capacitors on a GameBoy Advance before but the pads are really delicate. I recommend what I call the Joe Bleeps method here. ruclips.net/video/5TN6tbUvY9U/видео.htmlsi=3KzILLX38DsMJJiR
@@wolfmanrepairs I also recommend the tantalum capacitors sold by Helder. Not only are they better because they clean up the sound but I find them easier to solder on. But get them directly from Helder though because they're cheaper and the shipping is a lot faster
Awesome!! Thank you for all the info!!! I’m not that proficient with the hot air station yet but that is a neat trick to replace the capacitors!! I will have to give it a try!! 🐺🐺🐺😁😁😁
Thanks!! Yeah, it’s just feels strange putting a circuit board into vinegar. It’s like you want to protect it from liquid!! Thank you for commenting it is much appreciated!! 😁🐺
Team Wolfman vs Team Corrosion in a battle royale for the heart of a GBA. Who will ultimately be victorious? Time and new parts may claim both contenders or signal the rebirth of sweet gameplay. You're too close to victory to give up now!
🤣🤣🤣 I like that!! The epic battle of Wolfman Vs Corrosion!! Wolfman refuses to yield but has corrosion gone too far?? Find out next time in the thrilling conclusion!! Thank you for your comments they are truly epic!! 🐺😁
In situations like this I just started desoldering the volume wheel and headphone jack and soaking them in vingar. Often there will be corrosion on the backside and in hard to reach places. Low volume usually is a bad wheel though, could try replacing it.
Before I start this video. I'm excited these are what I mod everyday 😂
End of the video. 😬
@@RetroRich91yeah this GBA is still kinda messed up!! 🐺🐺😁😁
You did a lot of work on this one. It's good that you have a lot of patience.
Thank you!! Yes, this console needed and still needs lots of work but I’m glad it’s still operational!!
Thank you for your comment!! 🐺😁
Wow !
Fantastic video.
Thank you.
Your welcome!! Glad you enjoyed it!! 🐺😁

Thank you!! I definitely have to do some more work on this GBA!! 🐺😁
@@wolfmanrepairs you're welcome, I only know because I just barely had one that had the same issue and it was just the speaker.

Nice! Also soaking the whole vinegar would do you well. Don't feel weird just make sure to thoroughly rinse with 99% IPA afterwards,.

Yeah, looking back on it I should have just desolder them!! It would have been a lot quicker and easier!!
