One thing I really like about Dan is that regardless of volume, pitch, octave, intensity, clear or harsh tone, the diction is ALLWAYS PERFECT.

I agree. Great cover by Dan. He shows so many examples of his range and his ability to change from one genre to the other so fluidly and I'd like to hear Daniel's analysis. He definitely brings new life to a much loved classic. (pun sort of intended, I guess. LOL)

Im so glad that Dan is able to bring his own interpretation to a band and a song I hold dear for over 20 years now. Nightwish with Tarja was my safe space in a very dark time of my life and I will always be thankful for their music. Thank you so much for this reaction! Very interesting. Your perspective, as a professional singer, on Dan's interpretation is very educational and somewhat mind-blowing. I can definitely understand the enthusiasm, it's no different for us as fans. But the reason for your enthusiasm is so “different” than mine. But your words become clearer to me the longer I listen. Bring Me To Life, Son Of Pain, Thunderstruck, which he sang with the band Orion’s Reign (you’ll have to Google that one since it’s not on his channel) and Sleeping Sun (which you can find on Karla Bessa’s channel since it’s also not on Dan’s channel). Once again, a terrific analysis and appreciation. I’ve always wondered if the jaw movements are sometimes just part of the metal performance style - like the hair flips, for instance. I always think that Dan is very intentional, but it’s also the case that over his many years of study, performance, and production, he’s tried lots of different things! He is an extraordinary musician and performer - on top of that gorgeous voice. All his Nightwish covers are fabulous, by the way! Thanks, Daniel! (Edited to add a P.S.: do you have a PayPal link?)
I agree, the “jawbrato” seems to me to be either to add some metal flair to certain parts or possibly a technique to support the vibrato through his screams. I have only noticed him do that when he is “screaming.”

Love your reactions & analysis is of great interest to me. The best thing about Dan's performances is his passion, his ability to provoke emotion in the audience and take them with him. You ought to check out 'A Tale With No End' it's performed by Fearless - Dan Vasc's band - an original piece. The album Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom is amazing and varied, a true journey.

I love your analysis, but could you please date these videos, because this must be in his early years. The intro and mic are a give away, but if this was someone watching Dan for the first time it might matter to date it as his content has only gotten better and better over the years.
