This song is very difficult to sing, our late maestro and singer ANDRE MATTOS who was a vocalist for Angra and Shaman composed it and our Dan did this tribute with great praise, tks

What should I write? As always with your reactions, I'm captivated by Dan's performance and your assessment. I'm learning so much. But that's not really art if, like me, you barely know anything about music. I'm learning to listen better and recognize the subtleties. To hear the background that I didn't notice before your explanation. Oh, I just love seeing you both together. Thank you very much. ❤

Thank you for your continued reaction and great analysis. You can see how excited you are about it. Dan's vocal skills with his incredible breath control and his presence are unique.

This is an old video. The internet says most likely 2018 when he re-recorded it tor his cover-up "album", but it could have been 2012. It was an old school microphone, and he is clean shaven, which means it is old. This is at least partially responsible for the issues you had with the song. He was developing his style and technique. Almost all of his material in the last five years really varies even the repetitive verses. This vid lets you see how far he has come.

Hey Daniel, I'm already excited and anxious to see your lively and informative reaction, I love it!!! This is a beautiful song composed by our late maestro André Matos. I love this intro, I think it's beautiful! Dan did a beautiful performance, with his beautiful voice and his powerful vocal range ✨️👏🏻. I think you'll enjoy reacting to Dan's cover of Wuthering Heights, composed by Kate Bush, in André Matos' version that few, like Dan, can sing... the tone is very high🎼🎶✨️✨️✨️. Thank you for your brilliant reaction, as always, and until next time;)

Loved your reactions.... Dan is marvelous... in so many ways. Don't worry about ones who jump you about anything you say concerning Dan. Most are newbies... and have Dan on a pedestal... he's human like all of us and not "perfect"... comes close with his music tho 😁👍❤️
And you are allowed to have an opinion that differs from some. You love Dan and his music... that is the important thing they should remember...
We don't all like the exact same things. Thank goodness... how boring life would be lol. Really enjoyed your remarks ... and understand what you were saying. Thank you so much for a great reaction. Love watching you as you listen. 😁👍

This us a younger Dan. Note the microphone. He does this song in such an amazing haunting style. After I first heard this song, the screamed part of the song just kept coming back to me again and again it was very beautiful and very sort of tortured a little bit him and the singer is in real grief most of the time anyway it just struck me after the first hearing in such a way that I had to come back and listen to it again and again...

🥰Daniel, what an incredible reaction you made, as a singer that you are, the reaction made it even better and the love for this art of singing - which captivates us - is clear in your gestures.
This song or rather this piece that our Brazilian Dan Vasc interpreted in a magnificent way, brings back the memory of our Brazilian (André Matos "RIP"), who composed this song, as he was and always will be a great composer, great singer, musician and maestro, from the group Shamam and ANGRA...
If you can, do a tribute reaction in memory of André, reacting to this same song Fairy Tale (him playing the piano live), grateful for everything and a big hug from here in Brazil. Follow the link.

Wonderful reaction, Daniel. Since you weren't familiar with the piece prior to hearing Dan's version, I'd love to see you compare it to the origional, composed and sung by the great Andre Mattos (RIP) and then analyze the performances. I think it would be extremely interesting to hear a comparison. Just a thought.

Thanks, Daniel! I love the first 38 seconds of this and often listen just to that part. (I think sopranos were on the original version.) I'm not fond of the very highest part of this song, though. It's one of the few times when I feel that Dan is just powering through. (He could have done it in falsetto.... You should hear Wuthering Heights!), but he's following the original. Most of it is terrific, though, and displays so many different ranges and vocal qualities. I always enjoy your comments.

Daniel, please react to the original version too, it's a classic of metal reactions (unfortunately because André Matos passed away in 2019 and everyone wanted to pay homage), almost every good channel has done it, Charismatic Voice, Beth Roars...

Dan also did a tribute to Andre Matos with his song, Carry On, which is another vocal rollercoaster song. Dan did an earlier version of the same song, but, re did it as a tribute after Andre's passing. Daniel, I love your reactions and analysis and I hope you get around to reacting/analyzing Carry On, sometime, too. 😊

I could be wrong, but I think the last word is 'died,' not 'die.' I'm pretty sure I hear the 'd' at the end. Does that make a difference in your analysis of it? ( I know this is a tiny detail, but I wanted to ask since you spent, like, three hours on the Gregorian Chant vibrato thing.😂)
    So, does it?
(I really enjoy your detailed analysis. Truly.) 👍🏻

You are doing it again putting rules that you have learnt through a structured education on DAN that is why he likes to be his own boss and do things his way so that your rules and structured you can or you cannot do not apply to him you loose creativity by too many rules and you can or you cannot just learn to cut loose and go with the flow

I love the fact Dan goes with the flow and has his own unique style of singing. Being creative and your own person is essential to differentiating yourself from other artists in your field. He's clearly a great performer and I'm providing my years of expertise, training, and experience in hopes that he sees a different perspective and utilizes it to further expand and grow his own unique style =)
