she's bringing to light the corruption and the messed up systems that are in place in the government. she hasn't named anybody and while there's large implications towards some politicians, she's not directly attacking them. many people seem annoyed that she doesn't have 'solutions' to the problems, but the first step is pointing out the problems and making people acknowledge that they exist (cos a lot of people still don't). she did it in such a smart way and honestly she's doing so much to help the system in whatever way she can

She mistakenly thought the state of NY was going to write a check for $3 billion to Amazon. Unreal! She lost jobs for young people that look like her (aka Black and brown kids that go to schools like CCNY and CUNY). She is a train wreck; she is lost, has a low IQ, is poorly read, very inexperienced and possibly emotionally wounded. I get it; you are young and she is young and you connected with her. It's built on greed, manipulation, exploitation, etc. I can't say if it's better or worse than how other countries operate, but the lack of genuine structure for a fair system so that society works fairly and efficiently is becoming more impossible with there being so many problems that get covered up as the solution rather than an actual solution. I had this convo earlier with a trump voter. He brought up aoc and I said that I thought she was really great to have in congress, mainly because we don’t see younger politicians, which means by the time they get out of office they still have an America to live in for more than just 20 years so they are actually fighting for a more so common interest of the American people than a 70+ yr old multi-millionaire. That and even if you don’t agree with aoc’s politics, you have to at least acknowledge that she is a fish out of water, even within her own party, but doesn’t change her stances or just conform to the majority opinion.
Okay she’s directly calling out the fault in our political system, not the president. But, if you listen to her describe these behaviors and these are behaviors I think we can all agree are damaging, and you think, “How dare she call out the president.” Then doesn’t that mean that you yourself connect these behaviors with the man who you are defending?

So as you know Cortez is proposing the green new deal
Now I took the time to read through it and you can do the same it’s on line
In it and I am quoting it verbatim, it says eliminate all fossil fuels within ten years and provide a wage income to all energy industry employees who will be out of work
No money figure is presented so no one even knows the cost of that part and the millions of people affected
It says eliminate all air travel and develop a train system
Yes it really says this
So I guess traveling for vacation or overseas is out of the question
It says eliminate all meats
And cow and poultry industry
Yes it actually says this I’m not kidding.
So no more burgers bacon hotdogs at parties
It says provide a wage income and housing to all who are unable or unwilling to work
So lazy people can get money and a place to live
I could go on but what I am only suggesting is forget what party we are from and simply make educated evaluations research yourself before taking what someone says as true
Her plan has no cost figures only estimates and the kicker is at the end it says the government will determine how to raise taxes on all Americans not just the richly so that this plan can be implemented
