If you play with a healer I would recommand to switch evo glyph for mana gem glyph. The amount it restores becomes insane especially in early expansion
I actually love tailoring on mage, cos that back enchant can rly kick in, only downside tho is that you miss spell pen on back. But later on, with wand and offhand, when you can aford that Spell Pen, tailoring proc is really good.

Rank 1 fireblast is nice to use to get rid of a warriors spell reflect if you have a fingers proc and don't want to reflect a fat icelance back at yourself unless there is another easy way to do it that I don't know of.

could use rank 1 ice barrier vs spellstealers, rank 1 mana shield vs spellstealers,rank 1 frost/fire ward vs spellstealers, rank 1 fireball for a dot if you're locked on frost also

When i play arcane i use scortch when the targets counterspell is up to get a wrong interrupt and it works preatty well. People use silence when you start casting and figure its the other school of magic and i take advantage to this very much, instead of fake cast
also i don't love deep freeze, but it was an effective spell so im neutral to it. blizz removed it as far as i recall because it was hard to balance in pve and mages already had a lot of cc. not like they've ever needed it.
Rogues and enhance go over hit cap because of crit cap, as well as extra off hand damage. I play enhance and had to start gesring more hit in order to raise my crit cap in p5.
I use rank 1 fireball aganist rogues to get off a quick non cloackable fire dot. It is not a magic dot so they can not use vanish + cos else it is gonna break by just 1 tiny damage.
If you were human what would your second trinket be? The one from wintergrasp that has +85resi and a damage proc, or the honor trinket with 80 haste+ health thingy.

i like how each talents crossed into other elements to. Like the scorch shatter mage in classic or maybe now a mix of fire/shatter or imp cs.
