A therapist told me about 40 years ago that the person you end up with is the person who's habits you tolerate the most. It's another way of saying what SJP did.
I anted to save my life while I still cared about it - what a line because as time goes by we can settle for comfortable within our own minds without experiencing the true joy with real friends and real connection .
What a lovely and wise woman she is!! I’ve overcame my postpartum blue thanks to Carrie In Sex and the City. Your precious advice has been very beneficial for me as well.
I wished we could have seen the clip. SJP addressed the graduating class of 2016 Harvard Law School. She was amazing. She has way more depth than people think.
Love her and I've now seen all the episodes of Divorce. Definitely a character I can relate to. Not a black and white portrayal. As SJP states.. she's smart, complicated (as most of us are) and honest. So happy they brought this to HBO. The ONLY thing that I found about the writing I did NOT like is the constant toilet references her husband makes (childish beyond what I found respectful .. or believable).
Well they already broke up twice in the series and almost caused carrie's marriage with Big to fall apart. If carrie would go again with her indecisiveness, it wouldn't be a promising story I think
Seriously? Carrie’s character was MUCH more relatable and adorable. Samantha was ridiculous, uppity, always looking to get laid, didn’t have half the fashion sense of Carrie. Yuk. How that type of character could be “your girl” is questionable
I adore her as Carrie: as Sarah Jessica - Parker, she needs to do more work on speaking without a script. It seems she has a lot of difficulty trying to provide answers, in this interview. I felt tired listening to her trying to get the words out.
that's bc she's trying to say just the right things to convey her thoughts in a very specific way.. you can get caught up in your head while doing so, and it sounds so choppy to the listener.. I have this problem myself and it's very hard to control.. she seems to be a very 'thought-full' person.. the verbal expression of that can be difficult when trying to express them "just right"..
Patti R Little depth and coherence?! WTF! Yes, she’s not the best at verbalizing, some people are better thinking or writing their thoughts and are not great speakers but to say she says nothing of depth or that she’s incoherent is idiotic.
Listening to SJP is rather frustrating and irritating, but I understand she’s trying to think and be thoughtful, it just comes across very fractious! My biggest pet peeve is her constant touching of herself, her hair.... it drives me nuts that she’s so self obsessed, especially at her time of life - it really goes to her insecurities. OK lastly, she’s been in the industry forever, she knows BETTER, not to keep fidgeting when one’s wearing a microphone, everyone can hear it, even she, try listening with headphones 🎧 on!! 🤦🏼♂️ This is her job, one of the first things you learn - geez 🙄.... Well I survived I got through it, basically as a study 📖 😁
When this woman speaks, you have only to listen. She's simply magnificent.
I love the way Sarah Jessica Parker talks. Also she has a great voice and personality!
Lisa S same here she is so well spoken the words she chooses
She’s just as humble & down to earth & real as she was 40 yrs ago. Love her. 😊

SJP's giggle is so cute...always makes me laugh, too! She's such an icon and my favorite both off and on screen.🌹
One of the best humanistic celebrity interview I've seen.
I'm coming from another part of the globe and realize just how great it is to be able to watch this interview
She's very real and intelligent.
Adore SJP! Love her wisdom!
She's a sweetheart
In LOVE with SJP's outfit
Thanks 👍 very much for being a friend all these years
Ohhh!!!! All my LOVE for her! Thank you, Sarah Jessica Parker for enriching my life again, and again, and again! can't wait to see 'Divorce'!

She’s such a boss! Absolutely love her and she will always be Carrie to me ❤️
Lovely hair ))) and so lovely voice and charisma !!!!!

What a wonderful brilliant Human Being.
She deserves the best in life.

Bless her soul. I love her so much
Love her Hair, Voice, Hair, and those Boots!!

Awesome and amazing lady !! And brilliant actress :)))) Don't think Carrie and Aidan are over yet ;)))))

What great words she is speaking 💋
So true
Good morning Sarah and Patricia and God bless you... #3
SARAH JESSICA PARKER LOOK GREAT ON TIMES TALKS !!!
SHE IS FABULOUS
Does anyone know the quote SJP said about what her mother told her... roughly that books are our best companions?
Love Sarah Jessica a lot so much 🙏🌈
I love SJP. I love Carrie. I love Frances.
AmyBEgirl
Carrie !!!!!!!😍
Natacha F. I
Those boots give life. Lord, just gorgeous.🤩🤩
I Know, I Love them too!!
Sister from another mother, so cool.
Very strange interviewer, and Sara Jessika Parker is as beautiful and wise and usually ❤
Why didn’t you show the clip?? 🙄
Just as Liza Minnelli symbolizes New York, so does Parker.
Aww love SJP.
SJP ISSSSSS duplicitous!!!
Total icon
Samantha Jones was my girl I thought she was more of the star and Carrie was her buddy
mam, this is an SJP interview

I relate

Omg Shoe Gal. I thought I was the only person who felt this way. SJP has an art of speaking with little depth and coherence.
Patti R Little depth and coherence?! WTF! Yes, she’s not the best at verbalizing, some people are better thinking or writing their thoughts and are not great speakers but to say she says nothing of depth or that she’s incoherent is idiotic.
The more she talks the less she’s saying. Boring.
Wow. I felt tired after reading this comment.
They need a more chill moderator. Sheesh! You can ask a multi-part question, as long as everyone gets the same two minutes in total.
she need blond in her hair she look amazing
It frightens me to think that Mrs Parker looks so gorgeous here & I in contrast looked so horrible living on the street.
The interviewer is really unpleasant and borderline rude with the audience.
Love SJP!!!
She's so cute has cute ways
am a fan of hers, but jeez, black short nails should be on everyone's OUT list.
W T F has that interviewer got on .😶🙄😬
The interviewers outfit isn't that bad... a jacket/ bolero would have sealed up
The look just fine.
Which prize winning book is she talking about?
BramUnkompliziert A Constellation of Vital Phenomena, by Anthony Marra
the interviewer is tryin to play on the feminism note too intensely

Couldn’t have said it better myself!!
F that mic!
and...uhm
Inapropriate first question done! Out of time
Not exicted
I wish Jessica Parker would wear lipstick with Color in it and Not nude, because it makes her Look OLD.
what's wrong with looking like "old"?
She doesn’t look “old”. She wears nude lipstick because she likes it..and it looks natural. Much better than an un-natural, flaming red..or pink.
She does it to call attention to her eyes (which must be her favorite prominent feature (on her face)). You do that by deemphasizing the lip. :)
And um.
the lady laughs so fake
