I truly think she would have made an excellent governor. But I will say it does bother me when celebrities want to enter politics at very high levels. I know anything is possible because we had a reality tv star as president (yuck). But a big part of me just thinks that if they truly care about things and truly want to get in there and make an impact, spend just a little time learning the ropes and actually being involved in the day to day of the job before you go for something big. City council or even the House of Representatives. Senator, Governor, President. I just feel like it's worth learning things a bit more when there's truly not relevant experience.
Again, I still think she would've done an amazing job as governor. I just think she would've had a more successful campaign if she would've established her experience a little better. Yes, there's always exceptions. I would've voted for her if I lived in New York. But I usually just feel more comfortable with someone who has some first hand experience. You don't need a decade in the field, but at least some time does help.

I never felt the show lacked that. I know that now a days people go back to revise what “a show needed” but the show was as successful because so many people actually connected to the show. You don’t go to a show that only features a certain race and then declare it unrepresentative of the current world state or not being “whatever” enough.
