I am reaching out to ask Oregonians for their support on Ballot Measure 109.

I know of no #medicine that is so powerful, so non toxic and whose one time use can be so beneficial in treating #PTSD, depression and end-of-life anxiety.
Please become informed on this subject, and spread the word.
Yet some words of caution are in order: We must remain #disciplined and careful so that our #communities will benefit through the careful use of #psilocybin (#mushrooms) in reducing #depression, #anxiety, #violence and #crime.
As a psilocybin advocate I hope this passes. Were not criminals for medicating our soul.

I'm against drug charges altogether. if a person who's high commits a violent robbery they should be in for as much of a punishment as a person who wasn't high when they commit a violent robbery. Mind you, I still believe in court mandated treatment, administered CAREFULLY. Notice I emphasize CAREFULLY. Some people who are seriously mentally ill or addicted (including alcohol) and repeatedly leaning towards violence will never admit that they are sick and that their actions are wrong. They won't go to treatment on their own.
I have been harmed by alcoholics, and regardless of its effectiveness I want the court to have the weight to send them on their way with force if need be. Sure it won't always take, but hopefully it will nudge that person to turn their attention elsewhere from their victim and give them some peace and quiet, enough to get away, change the locks, get a restraining order, ecetera.

Remember to fight for the rest of the world, Europe needs change too. But we can't do it alone, pressure has to come from outside. You Americans are more free than you may think, at least you can change your country from within.

The fact that 4 people even dislike this video should be studied. Why would some one dislike the idea of nicer, smarter, more capable people? I think the people who would dislike that idea are the ones who have to be addressed.
I like to think they accidentally clicked it because I can't imagine anyone bringing up a valid argument for the average healthy person not to take them (assuming there using it to cure depression, ptsd etc.)

@Oregon's Tina Marie 4 Trump This is about clinical use to treat depression. Extensive studies prove it works for most people. If you’re not one of those people you can always choose to not use this form of therapy.

I'm all in. Paul has been educating me for about a year and a half and I see so many facets of how mushrooms can, do and will help the world! I am a part of this movement forward in evolution!
Fungi have been food for humans since the beginning of time. Not likely evolution has anything to do with that. Our interference in these natural systems eg genetic tampering will no doubt devolve the fungi population into a bioweapon of some sort, not excluding the use of it for "spiritual" experiences while ignoring their Creator.

I love you for coming out on this topic, Paul!!! This is indeed a very important message. I had my first depressive episode back in 1966 at age 10. I had mild to moderate episodes of depression off and on until age 23 when I took magic mushrooms and depressives reduced by about 60% in frequency and intensity. Then at age 53 I took another strong dose. I am now 64 and my episodes are only short periods which are a associated with some specific life altering loss. Basically I am normal now. I am a provider of mental health treatment, so I think I know what I am talking about. These mushrooms are medicine. If anyone offers me some, I will only take them IF I ever need them again. The experience is definitely not recreational.

I really wanted to say that I keep my fingers crossed for all the psyhedeledic people and this community that I adore and support but I am aware of them just because I think of myself as a citizen of the internet... not a country nor a nation anymore. I feel really lonely sometimes because of that but its ok I guess. I am just ahead of my background's time. My nation is still in 20th century, you know? My elite wants to take me back rather than forward....Sending all the love to you people.

As a man that suffers from depression & has tried many medications that actually made the condition worse, there needs to be more real studies across the world on the effects of psilocybin & depression & it's time to lift the ban on their usage that is outdated & dogmatic.
We should have the choice what we safely consume when it comes to nature & what we've been given on our planet. No govt should have the power over our choices when it comes to nature. We have given our power away to govts that work against us all the time. We are losing our forests & mushroom habitats at an alarming rate because the pharmaceutical companies know how good these are for us & they want to control our medicine for money, these companies are using govt to over build on habitats that once their gone they are gone for good especially here in England, we are fast becoming a concrete jungle. Very sad indeed. We are guardians of this planet & should never be the destroyers.

Honestly I never heard of anyone getting their hearing back but once I read a bit more and had hope.. that’s all I needed tbh. 15g trip did it for me. I still stumble all the time and very clumsy because I’m still getting use to hearing. The world is louder than I remember as a kid

I am with you on this path.
I’ve been micro dosing on golden teachers, Psilocybin cubensis mushrooms for the past year.... I had severe anxiety and post traumatic stress from a knife attack where my face slashed from my mouth to within an inch of my jugular.... also stabbed in others.... I was on Ssri’s at the time and the side effects were worse than what I was taking them for...... after a few course of micro dosing doing the 4 days on 4 days off for a few months the changes were unbelievable..... I no longer have and issues with ptsd and my anxiety seems to have gone to a bare minimum.... to a level where as long as your mindful about yourself it’s fine and doesn’t effect my dad to day life.
It’s not a cure all as in 1 dose cures you but It’s changed my life and thanks to Paul Stamets interview on joe rogan podcast.
My opinion on Psilocybin is why isn’t it in every house hold? If you have a fever you would take ibuprofen or another anti inflammatory... although it my being your temperature down for a while and you feel better it’s done nothing to combat the fever.......yet these mushrooms work in more ways than one.... let’s not forget the first antibiotic most commonly used around the world penicillin is a fungus.
Don’t let a taboo created by narrow minded individuals hinder your own self healing..... nor big pharma sell you a drug that courses you more issues if not kill you in the future....

I have a strong feeling that if they legalize mushrooms it will just lead to pharmaceutical companies creating isolated psilocybin pills, getting those passed and then doctors only using those and recommending against whole shrooms. Like NYS shitty medical marijuana system.
@@rdizzy1 certain psychedelics like cannabis and psilocybin are unlike other drugs in so that their analogues and chemically similar compounds are usually not safe or effective for human consumption. This means that a patent for a chemical similar to psilocybin for a pharmaceutical company is close to worthless and or impossible to obtain. You can't patent naturally occurring chemicals, so legal psilocybin would mean (unpatentable) psilocybin pills for people looking for mental health treatment, yes, but the future industry for legal mushrooms will more likely look like a typical recreational weed store with raw product for sale and also special edibles/candies or tinctures.

I am so thankful that we have you Paul at the head of this new movement. It is so important that we are wise about this, if we let ourselves slide into "partydrug" as aposed to healing medicine then we will surly see another "dark age" of psilocybin research. If we get this right then what we do now could possibly lead to a future where deep suffering can truly be addressed at its core. So very important that we get this right...milliions of lifes in the present, and in the future could possibly be saved from suicide if we get it right.
