    That's a beautiful diamond stitch and it's good to practice when you want to make a blanket or a decoration for the holidays. Thank you Ms. Bella for the lesson. May God bless you.

    I am an advanced crochter, but always learning something new :)I just wanted to say that I thouroughly enjoy your videos, and thank you for being so percise,and thourough. I also love the fact that you take the one second and explain the difference in stitch name for U.S. and U.K.. Makes it so much easier for beginers and less frustrating & intimidating. Not many instructors on youtube do that. God bless and happy hooking!

    Sweetie, I think I've looked at half a dozen variations of this stitch this morning, and yours was the first one that made sense to me (particularly doing the long stitch as 2-together, rather than as two separate stitches). Thanks a bunch, and keep up the good work!

    I am using the US terminology and whenever you say treble or double crochet I catch myself doing exactly those. I quickly have to remind myself "ooof, no! She's doing the UK terms." Then I have to frog it and redo the stitch :P. Good way to keep my concentration. But learning how to do this stitch on top of converting stitches in my head is giving my brain a work out. Thank you Sarah :) for the clear and precise video. Your hands are lovely steady, and slow moving :)

    I want to add this stitch in rows between sets of crocodile stitch but due to the plus 1 at the end I can’t get any matching chain numbers. Do I need to count the plus 1 in my bad line of stitches or can I just add it each time I switch from crocodile to diamond?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  5 лет назад

      I think the easiest way would be to include the extra stitch from the beginning. This way the diamond waffle rows will work out fine, and you can just crochet a regular stitch into the extra stitch at the end when you are doing your rows of crocodile. This would be much easier than adding a stitch each time. 🙂

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  Год назад +1

      Thank you, I’m glad you like it 😊 This one is a bit tricky to work increases and decreases on - you would need to increase by working two stitches into one as usual, and decrease by working two together, but would then need to work out where to place your post stitches to match the rest of the pattern.

    I didn't have a spare stitch at the end of row 3. Am I meant to have multiple of 4 + 1? I thought the +1 was lost in the initial turning chain.

    Hi Sarah-Jayne! (Using US terms)A little confused... I've watched this video a few times and I can't figure out why at the beginning of row 5 you single crochet in the first two stitches and then in row 7 you only single crochet in the first stitch. Is it a mistake? Should row 7 be two single crochet stitches or should row 5 be just one single crochet stitch? Or are they meant to be different? If so how do you know when to do one stitch vs two? Sorry if this was confusing...

    Quick question... Do you think this pattern would work with a chunky type of yarn - like for making a baby blanket? I am looking for a new pattern to try, to make a baby blanket for my 1st great-nephew. He is supposed to be born in June, so I have some time to spend on learning a new pattern.

    • @beesandyarn
      @beesandyarn 7 лет назад

      tisha1728 I reckon it would look stunning in all different types of fibres and weights of yarn. Probably just not a super incredibly chunky or fluffy yarn, as you might loose the definition of the stitches, but definitely a bit chunkier than this dk yarn would be fine (Stylecraft Special Chunky is an option in the same brand as the yarn used in the video). Hope that helps!!

    I love your tutorials but this one threw me for a loop. On the third row, you don’t do a double in the first stitch
    but in the next set of the same stitches, you do. I kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and I watched the video about seven times. I finally figured out that it might be a mistake in your tutorial. Am I just not following it correctly or is there a mistake in your tutorial?

    • @bellacococrochet
