Thank you my dear, I've been trying to get it right from other videos for weeks, either not clear or confusing. Your clear instructions saved me, I finally got it, thank you!
This is one of the better tutorials I've seen. You make the stitch seem so much simpler and manageable, you work is also gorgeous. thank you for the video and keep up the great work XD
I picked up a pattern for a beautiful boho reading shawl that uses this stitch. I was completely overwhelmed with the instructions provided by the pattern, so I'm checking your video. She described it as a Diamond Trellis and in the pattern she calls for one of the steps to be a FPTR2TOG which from what I can see, is the stitch you call for. I'll let you know how I fare with your instructions. Thank you very much, I wouldn't be able to learn to crochet without RUclipsrs like you! [EDIT: It is now two days from when I first made my comment, and I'm on the third row after I started the trellis stitch. It would be around now that I can be certain whether I've done the stitch correctly or have to pull everything out. I'm officially in the clear!! Thank you so much! It was super easy to understand and follow and I've now learned all the stitches I need to know to finish this shawl!]
You. Are. Awesome. Seriously, I’ve been trying to figure out the stitch and so happy I found your tutorial as you made it completely possible! Thank you, thank you thank you ❤
☆☆☆☆☆ 5 STAR REVIEW: Thank You so much Ashley, your demo of this stitch is super easy to follow. I have tried several demo's that were impossibly confusing. Your Crystal Clear video focus and fool proof directions to the stitch to be worked into are exactly what newbies need to be able to follow and understand. Love your choice of yarn too. Really beautiful colour. Paula 🇮🇪
For me, your video is complete clear for me! I’ve watched so many this diamond stitch but I cannot understand how to count the remain. I came across your video, and it helps me a lot. Thank you so much!❤
Yay! I was looking for a new stitch that looks fancy but super easy and didnt eat a lot of yarn. Now I can get started on that cowl I'm gifting. Thank you Ashlea!
I have been watching different videos from other people on how to make this stitch and this is the only one that I understood, thanks now I can continue doing my scarf
I was really struggling with this stitch before I found your video. You made it so easy to understand and follow along. Thank you Thank you Thank You!!!
I have to try this. I love working post stitches. Right now I'm hooked on the mosaic granny pattern, but may use this for my next baby blanket. It looks cuddly with all that texture.
Making a sweater by a written pattern and this stitch was written out. I’m pretty sure it was in hieroglyphics. I watched the suggested tutorial -- still not coming out quite right. I did a search and yours came up. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 success. I need instructions exactly the way you word things. Such as the legs, the first half or the stitch etc. thank you so much. This will be in my saved crochet folder.
I have been watching several other videos on how to do this stitch and they just left out a few steps so their videos did not make any sense to me and the way they recorded it you could not fully see what they were doing in those parts they skipped( one was the skipping the one stitch behind the TC2tog, they did not mention this but I had a feeling you needed to so I kept looking) . Luckily I found your video . Thank you for making it very easy to understand how to do this stitch. And making it easy to actually se what you were doing.
Thank you so much! I bought a pattern for a jumper with this stitch and I was really struggling to understand how to do it but you explained it beautifully!
Thank you so much. Your explanation was very easy to follow. I've been trying to make a square with a diamond pattern and having trouble - this cleared it up. 🙂🐑
Love you tutorial!❤ I actually use this stitch quit often when I make kufi for my hubby. But the stitch start when I'm done doing all my increases for the crown part of the hat. He now wants an entire kufi with this stitch, is there a way to increase this stitch without it looking a hot mess?
I was good until it was time to do the 3rd row. Idk if it’s the yarn I’m using or what but Im not sure which one to do the front post treble crochet in 😩😩😩
Just came across this video. I have watched several of your videos and absolutely love how you teach. I was wondering if you think a blanket in this stitch would look good with RED HEART OMBRÉ.
This stitch is really trying my patience! Should I always have the same amount of stitches when I’m creating the diamond legs and the dc rows? Hope you can help please
I watched another video on this stitch where the lady couldn't stop playing with her cat. Too distracting. So I thought this stitch was too hard. You make it seem simple. Thanks.
I want to make this stitch a little bigger as like a sleeve for my laptop. But my math is really bad im scared the fuck it up. How do you increase the size of this stitch? And account for the deviation in how many stitches you need? Like do you just say 3x19 or like 3x16 and then a plus 3????
So this is my 3rd attempt at it and I've two issues! Keeping the side correct and the last stitche on the hook after completing the treble stitch, its always loose and creates a larger hole when inserting the DC on the DC row it leaves a gaping hole, therefore I have to improvise how & where to enter the stitch, Any suggestions anyone?
I had it! I finally had it! And then somehow I kept adding 2 stitches during the post rows. I frogged it back, paid heavy attention, and re-did the row... and I still kept adding 2 stitches. I have to give up for a bit and come back to this pattern so I don't drive myself crazy.
I can do most stitches, but this one I do not like because I can't do it. I get exactly what to do, but my "diamonds" look floppy. The other one I can't do is Jasmine. Plus bullion stitch isn't too easy
I need help 😭😭😭😭😭 I have the right foundation chain, but I always end up having so many stitches when I do the double crochets. what am i doing wrong?😅😅😅 and when i check back I skip the right about

Beautiful stitch. Can I use a bernat velvet yarn for this pattern?
Love this stitch. Question...when you do the FPTC2TOG, why do you finish the stitch when there are 3 loops instead of 2?
Your tutorial is wonderful. so easy to follow. Thank you so very much for sharing.
Thank you! I was having trouble and this clarified what I was doing wrong!

Hi! Yes, every row should have the same number of stitches.
I watched another video on this stitch where the lady couldn't stop playing with her cat. Too distracting. So I thought this stitch was too hard. You make it seem simple. Thanks.
Wonderful tutorial, thank you so much 🙏💕🥰🌈
Hey new comment here! If I have 76 stitches, (I’m making a hat) and this is in multiples of 4. I have the correct number of stitches right?
I want to make this stitch a little bigger as like a sleeve for my laptop. But my math is really bad im scared the fuck it up. How do you increase the size of this stitch? And account for the deviation in how many stitches you need? Like do you just say 3x19 or like 3x16 and then a plus 3????

Oh no! Sometimes projects need a little timeout and hopefully will be more cooperative later =)
Is it multiples of 4 + 3 or multiples of 4+3 for each multiple like is it 16+3 or is it like 16+6?
Hi! You will crochet a chain in multiples of 4, then add 3. So, 16+3, 20+3, 24+3, etc...
this video helped me a lot ♥ thanks!
I'm so glad!
I can do most stitches, but this one I do not like because I can't do it. I get exactly what to do, but my "diamonds" look floppy. The other one I can't do is Jasmine. Plus bullion stitch isn't too easy

Oh no! You can send a pic of what you have going on to my assistant, sarah@hearthookhome.com. She is pretty good at spotting what is going amiss 😊
How do you start the chain in beginning like how many
It is a multiple of 4 sts, plus 3
Love this gonna try it in a few days tytyty
Beautyfule thanks 🎉❤😊
What size hook & yarn did you use?????
It’s normally the hook size on the yarn label xx
Qual o nome desse ponto?(traduzir para o português)
