I have tried diamond patterns before and they either never look quite right or they are so hard it's impossible. I have not tried it yet, but just watching, I can see it is both easier to do and, with the 2 TC together (especially because in the next row you work the base THROUGH the previous 2TC ToG), it should look very neat. Brilliant! That's what you need with a stitch like this. Thank you! You always come up with solutions to difficult stitches. This would be wonderful for a pull-over sweater or as part of an afghan-- or anything. I can see it on placemats,

This is beautiful, I've been doing a throw with a diamond pattern in it and it is similar but different, I am enjoying this so much and loving that there is no single crochet in it besides the 1st row. You chain 4+4+4+4+4+4+4+4 and at the end you add 3 only once. Any pattern that has a number eg: 5 + 2 you keep chaining 5+5+5+5+5+5+5 till you get your desired width then add 2 once at the end. Hope this helps.
