    • @paulinotou

      +Paul Raver the problem isn't so much defeating "Brownland" as much as securing the nuclear stockpile in a timely manner.

    • @hisevilness_com
      @hisevilness_com 9 лет назад

      timmy D= Those will be well guarded by the loyalist troops.
      Cause no one will let anyone near the stockpile to begin with.
      And those are also to best trained and armed.
      So whateverland you will face stiff opposition and no quick solution.
      Basically drop the food aid and and send you absolute best special forces to capture and then blow up the place.
      You will have to be so fast they will not have time to react and/or delay them in stage 2.

      @Grumpy_Bomber 9 лет назад +1

      +Phaire Couchpotato wow are u serious lol 400,000 troops would be close to the total amount of active troops in the military currently. The reserve doesnt count in the number they were talking about only active personel

    • @phairecouchpotato3912
      @phairecouchpotato3912 9 лет назад +21

      +Mark Trobough According to Wikipedia, The U.S. military has 1.3 million active personal and 850 thousand reservist personal. So sending 1/3rd of the us military would be about 400,000...
      Make no mistake America could do it but that would be very expensive and would take a massive amount of logistics.
      But South Korea has over 600,000 troops too...

    • @bstahl52
      @bstahl52 9 лет назад +18

      +Mark Trobough There's about 1.4 million active personal and 800k+ reservist. This story was bias and the scenario likely commanded by students rather than experienced military officers. The idea of sending troops in the middle of North Korea to get surrounded is a very clear sign they aren't very experienced. 90k troops is hardly even a field army and 56 days is rather quick (Germany took over Poland with 1.5 million troops in about 35 days in a two front invasion with the help of the Soviets) and I really doubt the troop numbers mentioned accounted for what would be our allies (South Korea, Japan, and other NATO nations) or if they were all U.S. troops. North Korea would be decimated and them saying 56 days with a total of only 90k troops was a failure is laughable. They overplay NK's potential and while it is a regional threat to stability it wouldn't stand a chance on the battlefield against any of it's neighbors or a US led coalition.

    They severely over estimate the loyalty of the average North Korean citizen.
    They do the song and dance so they don't end up in a labor camp but if that regime was toppled they would all flee their terrible country within days.
    In fact, the single biggest problem in the scenario would be the South Korean refugee crisis. The population would nearly double in an extremely short period of time and there's absolutely no way any country could cope with that.
    Just look at what happened in Europe after a few million refugees poured into an area with a population over 340 million.

    Iraq had the 5th largest armored military in the world and they barely lasted a few weeks during the first Gulf War. North Korea is using World War 2 era military assets and doesn't have the rations for their troops to handle a long conflict. People drastically overestimate their ability.

    • @johntorts4679
      @johntorts4679 10 лет назад +1

      PootStip hahaahah I like that "a pimple that need to be popped" LOL!!!
      Without an efficient economy, N Korea wont last long in warfare. The Americans and S Korea will simply cut their supply lines just like in the Korean War. And China is smart enough not to mess with USA, they are simply using NK to do their trash talking and hoping that the USA/SK would get provoked and attack NK (thus exhausting America's treasury and resources) then they will attack when America and its allies are weakened economically. I'm sure China and Russia are also funding the Taliban in order to keep exhausting America's resources. They know the USA has a powerful army based on a powerful economy. So they will exploit the economic side first.
      So my advice to America is to pick its allies and its battles wisely because Russia and China are just waiting for that moment.

You don't even see your opponent before he blows you out of the sky. And thats good. The F-35 is a stealth fighter and its targeting systems trumps the F-16 in distance, precision, and accuracy. I can assure you, the F-35 had a rough beginning, but it is top of its class

They won't have any Navy because they have shitty WW2 ships. They won't have any troops because they have no armor, and will get mowed down by aircraft. I think Seoul can handle itself.

      thus the hilarious plastic surgery mania in south korea.. trying to erase their ugly look

    • @lufasumafalu5069
      @lufasumafalu5069 9 лет назад +6

      Nie wieder Krieg mit Russland! yes , and the sad thing is the south korean are changing their looks because they hate their 'natural korean look' by plastic surgery in droves.. to be honest i find this disgusting , a people who cant stand their own naturally given look , exchange it into a fantasy..
      north korean people have more dignity and honor compared to these materialistic south korean.. they may be poor and led by despot but their honor reign supreme over the south korean

    • @paulinotou
      @paulinotou 9 лет назад

      +Buntalan Lucu yah, South Korea will bear the brunt of the conflict but North Korea is a threat to everyone, so if a country feels like their people are endangered than they will do what they have to. But that being said, unaccounted nuclear weapons would most likely be a above and beyond reason for the South to want to invade the north.

      Vinh Nguyen please explain what land the United States has ever taken over. Since the United States became a nation it's still only has 50 states. There are countries like Puerto Rico Guam the United States Virgin Islands that are territories of the United States and have some United States laws but the land is not owned by the United States. They don't vote for our president and we don't vote for their but they do have to have a democracy. So all these countries we we took over like Afghanistan and Iraq even South Korea and Japan those are our countries now that's what I thought there their own independent country still as we don't take over countries we might go to war with countries or terrorist but we do not take their land or the resources as we're the ones losing out in money fighting as we don't even collect the oil from Iraq or Afghanistan we finished.

    If a North Korean Regime was toppled, there's a very high chance China would become involved but not as you'd expect. Most likely they would deal with a lot of refuges and open a wide range of diplomatic talks with the US/South Korea. They most likely would not engage simply because the US/South Korea would definitely deploy to pacify the region, and they do not want to go to war with the US. The US is particularly aggressive in foreign policy, as they want to maintain the status quo as the "dominant" world power, plus already have a large portion of the Military already stationed on the peninsula. The reason China would not need to go to war based on US/SK actions is because technically they would not be invading the sovereignty of North Korea, since the regime would already have been toppled.
    Not only would the US and China going to war be bad for the world militarily (Basically WWIII), but Chinese business exports would be crushed and the US economy destroyed which would devastate the world economy (China and the US have two of the largest economies in the world and if they are both knocked out by each other that would be catastrophic to the world economy). Additionally this economic instability would negatively effect the Chinese people, many of whom already live in poverty, and the Chinese government would not want that, as their popular opinion has slowly decreased since more and more people are hacking into the world internet.

    • @exopheric
      @exopheric 10 лет назад

      Why should China go to war with the US when China is on the way to surpass the US? Like Chinese sages said: winning without a fight is the most honorable victory. Huge trade and MAD will keep US and China from going mad.

      @Theplaymaker1271 10 лет назад

      Well China doesn't want to go to war with the US which is what I said...the only reason I can see them doing so is if A) they were really willing to defend North Korea (which I doubt) or B) there are many border disputes between China and Japan/Korea which could result in conflict that the US would have to respond to

    I'm surprised that it would take that long to conquer North Korea. The US faced a similar conventional and unconventional threat during the invasion of Iraq, with Saddam Fedayeen units fighting without uniform. And then, it still only took 3 weeks to get to Baghdad.

      +The Guy The terrain in iraq is more straight forward more flat, not to mention the allies have extensive knowledge where everything was, and even operated within it's borders prior to the second war. With NK it's different terrain, areas unfamilir so it poses greater challenges and risks as we know little of what tactics NK will use against ground troops.

      World Of Thought just a thought when we went to war with Iraq the first time they were the fifth strongest military in the world dominating anybody in the Middle East and most European countries as well and right up there with China. We went in and made them look like fools and days. And that was without allies the first time but was with our first stealth Fighters 117 and B2 came after. And the second Iraq war when we hit total ground to get Saddam out with only took less than a hundred days to completely get through everything same thing with Afghanistan just sending in Delta Force by itself took out all the Maine militia and Afghanistan. But then the pentagons wanted to send some generals over and start bombing people and Afghan which made the war not really War but battles continue with insurgents as more and insurgents wanted to join because of the bombings

      James Tee North koreans have made sure to counter everything the US have, send helicopters they have shoulder guided anti air missiles. send anti tank jets, artillery are in a narrow valley with no room for a gun run. you don't need precision if your intended target is simply anything that stands in a large capital city.

    • @feetfan1233
      @feetfan1233 10 лет назад

      That is if our 90k troops can survive their unconventional weapons (the bitch move), but i'm pretty sure that our airstrikes can easily take the majority out of the way. And plus, their anti air defense is really bad...

    • @feetfan1233
      @feetfan1233 10 лет назад

      TheRabbitFear Wait... there's a helicopter that can fight jets???? And Anti tank jets? I feel like the purpose of these aircraft are flipped lol. I do believe that South Korea and USA are still at an advantage because our jets also have anti air, and our helicopter also have anti-tank. Anti helicopters are slow compared to jets, so the usa would have an easier time shooting them down. And jets can even take out other jets. And yes North Koreans can just fire all of their unconventional weapons to the capital, but i'm pretty sure that their defenses are more than enough to take most of them down.

    wtf? Why would you automatically exclude south korea? South korea could probably beat the north koreans if the south korean special forces secured the nuclear sites.
    1. 650,000 front line active personnel & 3,000,000 reserve personnel.
    2. Producing on mass the K-2 Black Panther the most expensive and advanced tank in the world.
    3. Producing on mass the 4th generation K-11 assault rifle : capable of killing several enemy hostiles with one bullet.
    4. Producing on mass the new series of self propelled 155mm howitzers :
    K-9 Thunders.
    5. Holds several world class special forces :
    SWC south korea special forces
    south korea 707 black berets
    south korean Marine corps.
    South korean UDT special forces
    6. Ballistic missile range extended to 800km armed with the new Hyunmoo I,II,III ballistic and cruise missiles.

      Blazerelf
      1. The south korean special forces could easily secure the NK nuclear sites meaning the NK would no longer have any nukes.
      2. South korea would use their cruise missile advantage from their destroyers by bombarding north korean supply depots and communication bases.
      3. The south koreans will use their advanced armoured vehicles advantage by mowing down the NK army.
      Human flesh will crumble under south korean K-2 BP tanks and the new IVF carriers.
      4. North korean army's caloric intake is 500 calories. The south korean army's caloric intake is 3600 calories. The north koreas will lack strength and endurance to travel long miles to attack us.
      5. The south koreans will also dominate the air with their F-15Ks and their upcoming F-35 IIs. The NK Mig series will be shattered. So basically, the south koreans can literally bomb the north korean army with SK new JDAM, PIKE, POPEYE and their other new missile series.
      The south koreans will never face the north koreans face on. They will use their advantages to shrink the weak north korean army.

    you do realize that North Korea have got 1.5 MILLION troops and THOUSANDS heavy weapons, right??? plus, they are way better disciplined and fanatic than Taliban. Forget about the quest of finding nukes, I'm afraid it would be already more than great if 90,000 U.S. troops can SURVIVE 56 days!!!

    • @bobjones9410
      @bobjones9410 10 лет назад +108

      You are pretty stupid, and shouldn't be talking about military topics. The only reason the Taliban hasn't been taken care of is because they use guerrilla warfare, and they hide behind civilians and fire upon our troops, and our rules of engagement dont allow us to fire at civilians. If the Taliban were to come out and fight a conventional war instead of hide behind omen and children liek pussies, we would have taken care of them long ago. Dprk would probably fight a conventional war, so our marines and sf would know who to shoot at and not have to worry about hitting civilians, and we could use artillery and armored vehicles and such. The war would be over within a couple months

The State Dept, if that is still what it's called, is constantly concerned about N Korea selling nukes. They are very poor, very rash, and very hostile. So all the ingeediance are there for some bad stuff going down behind closed doors. In this war scinario, the US plan seems to focus on aquiring the nukes before they can be handed off or used in combat. A very real concern.

    This isn't acurate because we dont need to send v-22 Ospreys so deep into their territory and even if we did it would take lousy commanders to make this mistake

      +grant richardet IKR all you gotta do is weaken their defenses with shit tons of missiles and do tons of airstrikes and attack the weakened points after that im the best commander. You could easily take out all of north koreas air bases with missles and airstrikes the only hard part would be fending off the 1M troops left after all the attacks but they wouldnt have any air support or navy so the USA would def win.

      I suppose you'd think 300,000+ fighting for 3 years, plus an additional 300,000+ S Korean and Coalition troops would be excesive? Because that's what it took last time just to work out a stalemate. Yall are spending too much time fking with petty terrorists. Real wars aren't fought by small groups of militarized police.
      The US has the potential to wage war, but do to its obsessive focus on outer terrorism, we have since lost the capability to wage war on a large scale.

    • @romanspies9248
      @romanspies9248 9 лет назад +1

      +Olaf Von Hambergler Nah, it could. That scenario is shitty anyway. I'd say securing the nukes could be done by commando units dropped on the respective facilities. Then launch a full assault from S Korea. NKs are starved and have poor equipment. Just use Agent Orange and all that stuff you thought of as too dangerous.

      The only way they can turn the current military model around at this point is to either start dredging up old NATO plans from the archives or begin a full rearmament program. MRABS and Armored plated Hummers are not equated to modern warefare. Even the old T72 and T55s are more than a match for these peace keeping forces. Air power alone WILL NOT WIN WARS. Truman's peace through appeasment has left the Communist Block in Asia to proliferate into a monster the size of the USSR. War with China is not imenent, but unless the Communist government falls naturaly, war is enevitable. Some day, China will reach economic independance, and we will have no cards left to play but war. IDK if the Striker program is even still active?

    This appears to be a US Army/USAF/SOCCOM only scenerio. Some of those suspected nukes sites
    appear to be located on the coasts of North Korea. Why the hell couldn't those US Army (Delta/Ranger)
    be supported by USMC forces seizing a nearby port or coming in off sea basing,instead of depending
    on the US Army coming up from the south?

    The only thing that surprises me is that people thought 90,000 "U.N." troops would be enough, and it would only take 58 days. I would estimate at least 300,000 total troops, and 150-60 days to secure high valued sites. What wasn't mentioned was the crappy roads, civilians needing help, and the weather.
