I’m about to go on a really long rant about the Barbie movie and feminism and there will be Barbie spoilers. Okay. So I watched the Barbie movie with my mom and my dad didn’t want to watch it because he wasn’t really interested in it, but he would come in from time to time and watch a few minutes if it with us. But when the Barbies are talking about basically overthrowing the Kens and they’re talking about how women are supposed to be all of these things to try and fit in with society, I said “but is she wrong” and my dad said “yes”. When I tell you that I got so angry…oh my god. But also, on the topic of modern feminism, people call themselves feminists nowadays, but some of those people want a version of the world where women are handed everything in a silver platter and that’s not what true feminism is. Real feminism is really about just everyone being equal. It’s not about women ruling the world. It’s not about women stepping on men because they’re better than them. It’s just that women don’t want to have to work three times as hard to gain the respect they deserve. Like, feminism in the past few years has morphed into something that shouldn’t even be considered feminism anymore. And don’t even get me started on how some people treat the LGBTQ+ community. I don’t know guys. Our world is so messed up in so many ways. Okay. I think I’m done ranting now.

When you said that you feel like if people keep up with your good reads we won't tune in to your videos, that's absolutely not true at all, personally I always look for a video first then good reads second, You two are so influential in what I read that if I saw the video ill immediately buy the book and read it the next day or so, I love to see what you're reading on good reads but I usually use it more to see what rating you decided on that book before I read it or if im reading it and I don't remember what you said in the video. But the videos are just something else for me it feels like we're friends talking on FaceTime and I adore that. And also they have put me out of a reading slump like a hundred times so, Idk just thought I'd reassure a little bit about that conversation, love you both and I hope one day I get to meet you!
