I love how she didn't just do whatever. She explains everything and makes sure you know what she's doing next. Also her niceness doesn't feel forced. It seems genuine
I’m white but when looking for a tattoo artist I personally didn’t feel comfortable with people who ONLY tattooed or at least featured other white people. It didn’t seem genuine or that they actually cared for me, I’m glad more tattoo artists are representing POC :)

It’s important to me because people who can tattoo darker skin are usually amazing, since darker skin is harder to tattoo on. It’s only a race thing because if people refuse to tattoo POC they’re racist.

I feel like for me the worry of getting a tattoo is the pain and most stereotypical tattoo artists seem kinda mean or intimidating but she is calm and explains everything and is so nice and if all tattoo artists were like this I think more people would get tattoos more

My artist wrapped it in cling film for the first couple hours, then let it breathe and then I rewrapped it for bed. Got up yesterday morning, gave it a clean and used Palmers Cacao butter. It's going fine so far, and it's darkened even more than when I was in the shop. It's looking so good and I love it 😊 good luck with yours if you've not had it done yet
I don't have a tattoo yet but this video made me feel really confident about maybe getting my first. The artist was so kind and so patient and really took her time to make sure that everything was explained and all the options were available and got consent and really just seemed to care for the client. ☺️
I got my first tattoo about a week ago, i got it on my ankle, it basically just felt like scratching the whole time, hurting a little more when he'd go over some parts to shade it a bit more
I literally got my first tattoo yesterday. A little lavender plant, my garden hadlavender plants in the summer and I’d sit there, watching them grow in the summer and the bees. It was a time when I felt at peace. I’m so happy with the final piece! I went with an artist in London and she was so nice and accommodating 🥰

Good that she explained the process. Whoever says that tattoos don't hurt are lying. They hurt, sometimes the hurt BAD. But to anyone who's being doubtful about getting one, if the pain was unbareable no one would be getting tattoos. They hurt, it's uncomfortable. But you're getting something awesome out of it, so it's worth it. You feel "accomplished" when you're done. It's a great feeling. I always describe the feeling as dragging a dull knife on a really bad sunburn. Bad feeling? Yes. But impossible to handle? Not even close.
I LOVE the tattoo artist. Her bedside manner is amazing! She’s extremely attentive, professional, and down to earth. I would feel very comfortable getting tattooed by her🧡 Also her canvas is absolutely lovely. She has such a good vibe 😌
I use tegaderm to heal my tattoo, which is the exact same thing (: their tattoo adds to how gorgeous they are and it speaks to their beautiful personality. The tattooer was amazing! She spoke on everything that I thought of and gave them the experience they deserve. I have a huge hip/thigh piece and a smallish script tattoo on my arm. Planning on getting my next one on my shoulder, then another on my other hip and some rib pieces 😊 it's hard to stop once you start, especially with the right tattooer💕

This artist in the video is an angel, she's awesome, I wish she was here in south California. This artist trully connected with her client in converting her idea into a reality tattoo design.
My first tattoo artist told me that it feels like when you accidentally scratch a bad sun burn, and she also used water first to make sure I could tolerate the pain before using ink.

Also to add for people who wanna know what the pain feels like, it feels like a bad cat scratch then welps like a bee sting. Pain is bearable and you'll quickly find your tender areas😂. Don't let this scare you, just be mindful on size, design, and placement😊 good luck friends
I just got my first tattoo and she’s absolutely right. It’s more uncomfortable then it it is painful but it can get painful when the artist focuses on one spot for too long. Luckily the artist I went to knew exactly when to move the needle 🥰✌🏽

most tattoo shops have a very colorful, busy, grungey almost psychedelic kind of decor and rachel's studio is so clean and bright and peaceful! it's so unique i love it

most tattoo shops have a very colorful, busy, grungey almost psychedelic kind of decor and rachel's studio is so clean and bright and peaceful! it's so unique i love it
