NF has this strange ability to say the most face value lines and bars that hit just as hard as doubles and triples, if not harder sometimes. NF sings in "Wait", just wait, it's impressive.
He does talk about him being a Christian a lot in in his music. However, he always says it isn't for people in the pews. His music is geared for everyone. More so the people who may not be Christian. As a Christian myself it's a very humbling thing to mention that you are a Christian. Only because he is trying to break the stereotype, and to help EVERYONE connect with his music. I think that's why I connect with his music so much. Aside from the fact of him being a Christian, I find myself not even in that mindset when I listen to his music. I am in a place of deep emotional connection.
For me the way I connect with his music is I'm a Christian and I lost my mom and in like one or two of his songs he talks about his mom's death so that's how I connect to his music
Nate being a Christian is not why he’s a clean rapper. He used to do the stereotypical rap thing but said it didn’t fit what he was trying to accomplish with his music. He’s just a rapper that happens to be Christian ☺️🖤 There’s more songs further down the journey that has him singing. If the song doesn’t credit a guest vocalist, it’s Nate singing but a lot of time it’s just pitched and modified
He said in an interview earlier in his career that he was working as an electrician. Also, he had some succes early in his career under his name in the Christian rap music. He noticed he wasn't getting any further than that, so he changed his name to NF and hired Tommee Profitt (an amazing, producer and composer) as his producer and co-writer and it helped him immensely.
As you continue on the journey, you will see how amazing NF can be vocally (see "Paralyzed" & "Wait", both also on the Mansion album). As far as his clean rapping, he explains it in "Notepad" (also on the Mansion album): "I remember writin' raps with the curse words I just wanna hear it, seems like everybody does it Did it for awhile wasn't into all the cussin' Tried to find who I was, bein' everything I wasn't, real life, yeah!"
The singing part is having more comfort and stepping out of that fear of being that vulnerable with just singing along. Rap has always been a passion but being able to combine the both.
His albums basically function as a tv series. The videos and lyrics eventually intertwine with the next Albums. It’s important to listen to them in order, because that’s how he structures his albums. Loved the commentary!
I think had there been an actual music video to this it would have taken away from how powerful the lyrics are! I cry EVERY time I hear this song. So good, so real!
NF came into my life when I was at my darkest times and I immediately was drawn to NF from the go. I did the journey and it was the only thing at the time that was getting me through shit and i am so grateful for NF👏👏 NF changed my life for the better... Still trying to figure things out but if NF taught me anything it is to embrace your feelings and keep moving forward day by day.NF is a GOAT and when it comes to his track therapy session I really needed to hear that track. It hit me so much😥😥😥😥😥😥 and I'm like someone who finally gets it; I'm not alone. NF was originally coming to my hometown for a concert but the pandemic happen and I didn't get to see him😭😭 I was so upset but I threw myself my own NF concert in my family room on RUclips and went through all his songs to that point. I'm praying and hoping that NF comes back and performance in my hometown! It would mean the world to me to see him perform live❤❤👏👏
I just found yall from the reaction of NF- Hope and I’m here for watching y’all’s journey. I’ve been a fan of his for 7 years now and it’s amazing to see him finally getting the recognition he deserves 🖤🤍
Another great reaction to a classic NF song! I love this song because it really makes you feel his passion. And that singing voice? And angel. Don't worry this has been the only song he sings on!
I’m loving watching you guys go down the NF journey. It’s amazing seeing his talent increase over the years of his career is incredible. In Mansion he tries a few different styles, still good songs but different from some of his later albums where he clearly starts to own the lane he made for himself. I would be down with NF week if it means we would get more in a given month of NF from you guys!
Great reaction!! Thank you for the NF journey! He has a song with a rock feel called "Motivated." NF journey is amazing. Love your reactions to NF! Thank you.
How could you leave us is one of the most emotional songs I have ever heard in my life! NF has this amazing way with connecting with his fans through his past experiences. He is one that is overlooked lyrically and as a rapper as well!
Nf started out as a Christian hip hop artist chh if you go back to his first first feature on a record it was with an artist named flame. Nf actually wrote the song start over flame liked it and bought the track from him and featured him on the hook. He originally was signed to capital cmg (Christian music group) and did so well they moved him to the main capital label he has since got his own real music spin off label. It doesn’t take away from his obvious talent. Nf is just trying to separate him self from only being known as a chh artist and this is why you haven’t heard him on the radio in the past because chh artist tent to get put in a box.
You guys always killing it. Awesome seeing people have similar reactions that I had hearing all these for the first time! Btw NF week would probably be the dopest thing on YT lol
The line, "I don't think they've seen my vision yet!" is crazy to me now that Hope has dropped. When Capital Records signed NF you know they "didn't see that comin!" This was the first NF song I ever heard and I did a deep dive into his music and his life. It's true, "Believing in yourself when no one else does....it's AMAZING!" Great to see Nate happy and hopeful. What a journey....💯🤗❤️✌️
Heeeeyyyy two days in a row of NF - love it!! NF week is a great idea! Or maybe do an NF video once a week...up to you, of course. Great reaction! You just got a small snippet of his singing here - he has amazing vocal talent which you'll see later on 💖🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the most versatile artists out there. Expect the unexpected with Nate because he will continue to surprise you. Looking forward to more NF! Subbed.
Homie Kyle said kinda new the song was 7 years ago 😆 his new stuff SLAPS all his stuff slaps and I see you realized his bar with ever since them pills they took my mom get ready cause the song how could you leave us is all about his mom and it's a heart felt one and his singing voice is amazing and so underrated wait till you get to trauma or if you want love or even prideful all muah chefs kiss
FUN FACT: This song was released prior to Mansion on an EP called NF in 2014 (check the video post date for proof) It had been 4 years since he released his album "Moments". This will help make sense of a few of the lines in the song. It was included on the Mansions album.
You guys are in for a treat if you enjoyed NF's singing voice. That's only a bare glimmer of just how good of a vocalist that Nate is. I have heard that before he switched to rapping, that he was going to be a gospel singer, and Nate absolutely has the pipes for it.
Idk if y'all have seen it recently but NF did a video talking about things from his past and how far he's come, and he was talking about how his manager just had him rap one of his songs behind a white background, and how far they've come to the Hope/Motto music videos as far as budget, time, extras, etc. It wasn't necessarily a style choice, it's all that they could afford to do for him at that time. I'm so proud of how far he's come and I found ya'lls videos after Hope released, and ya'll are awesome. Can't wait to continue hearing your perspective on his journey.
Got laid off today so I decided to finish the nf journey Reactions I haven't seen yet while having a few. Thank you for what you do. It is appreciated ❤ love your reactions.
NF NEVER misses……. He’s all I listen to now 🥰 I haven’t found a song yet that I don’t love 💜 I would definitely be down for a whole week of NF reactions….. better yet just make the whole channel NF reactions 🤣😂 another great reaction guys…. Thank you 🔥
His best song in my opinion is how could you leave us it never fails to give me chills and it would mean so much to me if y’all would react to it ☺️ and thank y’all for this channel! Even if I’ve heard the songs y’all have reacted to like falling in reverse you guys always make me feel like I’m listening to it for the first time again! Appreciate y’all🤘

His song “note pad” talks about how he used to use profanity in his songs. You guys should check it out. I’m here for it! Love your NF reactions. Also going through this journey you’ll see him progress as a rapper, his new stuff is way better then his old stuff because like all great rappers he grew as a rapper and a person 💯
The fact that he's a Christian is why I have a renewed fondness for his music been on the nf journey binge for a couple days now and he's a goat in the game and a Christian 2 impossible feats that's don't go together.

"Notepad" explains this. It's definitely one of my favorites
When he says "This is all that I have" you know he means that from his core. You can feel the passion and sincerity behind those words.
I saw NF perform this song in 2013 before he was famous. He was awesome! I’d love to see him live again.
NF is LEGENDARY!! NF states why his doesn't cuss in the song Notepad..so soon you'll find out.
As you continue on the journey, you will see how amazing NF can be vocally (see "Paralyzed" & "Wait", both also on the Mansion album).
As far as his clean rapping, he explains it in "Notepad" (also on the Mansion album):
"I remember writin' raps with the curse words
I just wanna hear it, seems like everybody does it

He has been dropping hints of a new album coming out. So plowing through would be a good idea. lol
NF spits nothing but truth and meaning every song I can relate too I love it I can listen too NF every day
Yes NF WEEK . He has an amazing singing voice just wait Nate is phenomenal.
The singing part is having more comfort and stepping out of that fear of being that vulnerable with just singing along. Rap has always been a passion but being able to combine the both.
Keep the NF coming guys, it's a great trip.
27 likes and no comments, lemme change that 😅
This song had an obscure affect on me, this is the song that confirmed that NF is my favourite artist. It's still my favourite song of all time.
His albums basically function as a tv series. The videos and lyrics eventually intertwine with the next Albums. It’s important to listen to them in order, because that’s how he structures his albums.

Subscribed because of 21 pilots, but NF’s journey just put the icing on the cake. Love him, he’s amazing.

I'm here for all of this!! Can't wait to follow you guys on this journey! A whole week of NF??? YES!!!

Okay, first 30 seconds into the song, I’m already digging it. 🔥
One of my top 5 NF tracks; as a fellow Christian, LOVE the way he always humbles himself!! Loving the journey! #nfrealmusic
This was my introduction to NF! The very first thing I saw of Nate. I think it was a Facebook ad back in 2014, but what a journey!
Y’all don’t know how excited I was for you to hear him sing for the first time 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 he’s just too good
You can feelllll..... The emotion in his voice at the end of this song. Love this song.

Another great reaction to a classic NF song! I love this song because it really makes you feel his passion. And that singing voice? And angel. Don't worry this has been the only song he sings on!
If you like the vocals on this, wait for his later albums. Much more singing.

For me this song is all about validation, and having validation for his thoughts.
Got laid off today so I decided to finish the nf journey Reactions I haven't seen yet while having a few. Thank you for what you do. It is appreciated ❤ love your reactions.

As you go through this journey you will see he is like a renaissance man for music. He can rap, sing, co produce, attack the industry, make you Bob your head and make you think. He is amazing and I’ve heard a couple reactors say he would be reflection rap. He really can make you think. And he ties a lot of his songs together, and lays little Easter eggs. With the actual videos watch to the end. He’ll put little things through out them with foreshadowing A refreshing talent
he literally doesn't miss. spot on there. a lot of his older stuff i cant replay on my own just cause its so heavy, but these reactions are just as therapeutic for me as it is for ya'll. his new stuff is SUPER replayable. very good stuff
Love watching you guys react! More NF please, he is amazing!
YES!!!! NF WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MORE NF!!!!!!!!!! LOVE THE JOURNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #nfrealmusic
Keep going guys! He only gets better and better!
We need daily NF reactions! Great job gentlemen!
Eric, You hit the nail on the head when you said him saying he is a Christian was a ballsy statement. And it really is because he is not trying to be a Christian artist. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But, Nate is trying to rap about more real life things verses biblical truths. This song is epic in two ways. First, I am sure as a Christian they tried to pigeon-hole him into Christian rap and he had to fight them on that. That is not his vision. And second, he is saying look all I have is this rap game. He has to rap and he has to do it about real life. No choice. Frankly, it is his calling. So all he has is his craft. And all he has in this video is himself and a mic. That is it. Very dope. And by the way, they coming! As I told you guys last song, your channel is going to blow up if you just do a consistent NF Journey I predict by the time you are done, you will have over 50,000 subs.
I’m watching the Journey playlist right now just in the background while I’m working on other things. Eric when you mentioned about NF being a Christian and people saying that’s why he doesn’t cuss. The fact that he's a Christian is why I have a renewed fondness for his music been on the nf journey binge for a couple days now and he's a goat in the game and a Christian 2 impossible feats that's don't go together.
