He does talk about him being a Christian a lot in in his music. However, he always says it isn't for people in the pews. His music is geared for everyone. More so the people who may not be Christian. As a Christian myself it's a very humbling thing to mention that you are a Christian. Only because he is trying to break the stereotype, and to help EVERYONE connect with his music. I think that's why I connect with his music so much. Aside from the fact of him being a Christian, I find myself not even in that mindset when I listen to his music. I am in a place of deep emotional connection.
For me the way I connect with his music is I'm a Christian and I lost my mom and in like one or two of his songs he talks about his mom's death so that's how I connect to his music
He has toned it down a lot though 😅

NF has this strange ability to say the most face value lines and bars that hit just as hard as doubles and triples, if not harder sometimes. NF sings in "Wait", just wait, it's impressive.
Nate being a Christian is not why he’s a clean rapper. He used to do the stereotypical rap thing but said it didn’t fit what he was trying to accomplish with his music. He’s just a rapper that happens to be Christian ☺️🖤
There’s more songs further down the journey that has him singing. If the song doesn’t credit a guest vocalist, it’s Nate singing but a lot of time it’s just pitched and modified

He said in an interview earlier in his career that he was working as an electrician. Also, he had some succes early in his career under his name in the Christian rap music. He noticed he wasn't getting any further than that, so he changed his name to NF and hired Tommee Profitt (an amazing, producer and composer) as his producer and co-writer and it helped him immensely.
Nf started out as a Christian hip hop artist chh if you go back to his first first feature on a record it was with an artist named flame. Nf actually wrote the song start over flame liked it and bought the track from him and featured him on the hook. He originally was signed to capital cmg (Christian music group) and did so well they moved him to the main capital label he has since got his own real music spin off label. It doesn’t take away from his obvious talent. Nf is just trying to separate him self from only being known as a chh artist and this is why you haven’t heard him on the radio in the past because chh artist tent to get put in a box.
I saw NF perform this song in 2013 before he was famous. He was awesome! I’d love to see him live again.
He has been dropping hints of a new album coming out. So plowing through would be a good idea. lol

His albums basically function as a tv series. The videos and lyrics eventually intertwine with the next Albums. It’s important to listen to them in order, because that’s how he structures his albums.

I’m loving watching you guys go down the NF journey. It’s amazing seeing his talent increase over the years of his career is incredible. In Mansion he tries a few different styles, still good songs but different from some of his later albums where he clearly starts to own the lane he made for himself.

You can feelllll..... The emotion in his voice at the end of this song. Love this song.
When he says "This is all that I have" you know he means that from his core. You can feel the passion and sincerity behind those words.

How could you leave us is one of the most emotional songs I have ever heard in my life! NF has this amazing way with connecting with his fans through his past experiences. He is one that is overlooked lyrically and as a rapper as well!
This song had an obscure affect on me, this is the song that confirmed that NF is my favourite artist. It's still my favourite song of all time.
The singing part is having more comfort and stepping out of that fear of being that vulnerable with just singing along. Rap has always been a passion but being able to combine the both.

This was my introduction to NF! The very first thing I saw of Nate. I think it was a Facebook ad back in 2014, but what a journey!
NF came into my life when I was at my darkest times and I immediately was drawn to NF from the go. I did the journey and it was the only thing at the time that was getting me through shit and i am so grateful for NF👏👏 NF changed my life for the better... Still trying to figure things out but if NF taught me anything it is to embrace your feelings and keep moving forward day by day.NF is a GOAT and when it comes to his track therapy session I really needed to hear that track. It hit me so much😥😥😥😥😥😥 and I'm like someone who finally gets it; I'm not alone. NF was originally coming to my hometown for a concert but the pandemic happen and I didn't get to see him😭😭 I was so upset but I threw myself my own NF concert in my family room on RUclips and went through all his songs to that point. I'm praying and hoping that NF comes back and performance in my hometown! It would mean the world to me to see him perform live❤❤👏👏

You guys are in for a treat if you enjoyed NF's singing voice. That's only a bare glimmer of just how good of a vocalist that Nate is. I have heard that before he switched to rapping, that he was going to be a gospel singer, and Nate absolutely has the pipes for it.

Idk if y'all have seen it recently but NF did a video talking about things from his past and how far he's come, and he was talking about how his manager just had him rap one of his songs behind a white background, and how far they've come to the Hope/Motto music videos as far as budget, time, extras, etc. It wasn't necessarily a style choice, it's all that they could afford to do for him at that time. I'm so proud of how far he's come and I found ya'lls videos after Hope released, and ya'll are awesome. Can't wait to continue hearing your perspective on his journey.

He is amazing and I’ve heard a couple reactors say he would be reflection rap. He really can make you think. And he ties a lot of his songs together, and lays little Easter eggs. With the actual videos watch to the end. He’ll put little things through out them with foreshadowing A refreshing talent

I’m watching the Journey playlist right now just in the background while I’m working on other things. Eric when you mentioned about NF being a Christian and people saying that’s why he doesn’t cuss. I can’t wait to see what y’alls reaction to him talking about that in Notepad is. The line, "I don't think they've seen my vision yet!" is crazy to me now that Hope has dropped. When Capital Records signed NF you know they "didn't see that comin!" This was the first NF song I ever heard and I did a deep dive into his music and his life. It's true, "Believing in yourself when no one else does....it's AMAZING!" Great to see Nate happy and hopeful. What a journey....💯🤗❤️✌️
