I actually watched this video while in the hospital beginning my induction last Saturday! It was so encouraging! I had a wonderful delivery experience of my 4th baby…I had a very positive natural hospital birth experience, just as you did!
I so needed this, my due date is tomorrow and I was feeling so stressed that I'm not showing any signs of labor but to see you talk about having kids after 41 weeks made me relax a lot more!
Such a helpful reminder that, although things might not go according to the 'plan', going with the flow and staying positive leads to a beautiful birth experience.
My 1st was breech so automatic c-section (my water broke at work) but I knew she was breech a week beforehand so it was a relatively chill time. My 2nd was head down and his water broke early just like his big sister but then my labor stalled and I had to have pitocin but I never dilated more than 1" and he never dropped so 40 hours later, he had to be a c-section baby too. I was so set on a VBAC, I got a doula and my chiropractors came and adjusted me in the hospital as I was stalled. But he was stubborn. At least he's now a healthy 4.5 year old boy! 💙
@@TheREALPurpleThrone I know but I think it was the way she was situated made it not possible to safely deliver pain free. I was more at peace with her birth than my 2nd child's with the attempted VBAC that ended in another c-section.
I’ve been watching you for awhile but this is my first time watching Beau’s birth story. I also had an unmedicated hospital induction on July 12, 2022. My second daughter was born 7/12/22 at 1:50pm!
I’m glad your labor started before the induction. But for future reference and anyone else who might be looking at this comment, a more accurate due date would be 40 weeks and five days, 40 weeks after the end of your last period not from the first day of your last period. It’s just another way. The medical system has us feeling like our bodies are wrong so that we submit to intervention sooner.
I get anxious once I get into the hospital because I know it’s “go time” after that and it get intense. So my heart rate increase once they put the IV’s in. Ugh… I really dislike giving birth! I’m 38 weeks and 5 days now and my anxiety is high. 😣
I know this is super random but because your hubby is so tall- I noticed his seatbelt is not over his shoulder. Make sure he raises the seatbelt on side of door so it’s worn properly for safety reasons😊 So happy to hear your birth story and glad everyone is doing well!
Hey :) kinda random question, can you post a link to the baby wrap you are using? It’s so pretty :) also really encouraged by your birth story and love how you have a birth plan but are also flexible to adjust according to how things are going!
Congratulations! I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant with baby number 4 and I can NOT stop watching birth videos lol super scared and excited at the same time P.S. Where did you buy your baby carrier? It’s super cute 😊
Thanks for sharing! I'm curious what carrier you're using? It seems very secure which I feel not all soft wraps are. (Which is why I struggled with my 1st and 2nd)
Thank you for sharing your birth story! I’m expecting and I have set a goal for myself to give birth naturally and unmedicated. It’s ok if things turn out differently but I want to try.
I am due with Baby #2 in February as well! I went unmedicated with my first in the hospital and plan on doing it again. I highly recommend hypnobabies, Sarah Lavonnes videos and watching positive unmedicated hospital birth stories and researching to empower yourself! Also if you can afford a Doula they are AMAZING! Or make your man your Doula. You can do it!!!
Today is my due date - we are expecting our first! I am hoping for an unmedicated hospital birth. Getting anxious to meet our little boy and soak up all the baby snuggles!
Omg not me balling like a baby over here 😭 waiting on my baby girl to come any day now 🥰 Edit: Congratulations!! It looks like you did amazing Mama! ❤️
Also, I did Castor oil with my second and it was perfect. My ideal labor experience... I mean there was diarrhea the whole day before but other than that 😅
I had 2 natural deliveries, no epidural and both laying down, I was pretty comfortable to be honest didn’t even thought about getting up , I guess it depends on each person
I found your channel through looking for oily peeps on instagram a while back and related to the way you do life in multiple ways. You have the best advice and are super knowledgeable! I make your face wash and face oil for my family! I’ve enjoyed watching your family grow and I LOVE the name Beau! Your birth with him was almost the exact same for me. I took castor oil 41 weeks and it stalled out when I was in the hospital- I was also 5 cm when I walked in and they broke my water to move things along and then it was 7 cm immediately. I got pitocin even though I didn’t necessarily want it and that was when it got rough. But she came shortly after that! Congratulations and you did amazing! 🤘
Congratulations, Becca!! Welcome to the world baby Beau!! I just had my first, a baby girl, on Jul 20 (three weeks ago yesterday!). I've enjoyed watching all of your pregnancy videos from over the years to help prepare myself. Question -- where is the baby carrier that you're wearing from/who makes it? I'd like to get one! Also, any thoughts on making a video about breastfeeding? That would be super helpful! Thanks!
Did you ever address why you chose hospital birth this time? I must have missed it. I know you had preeclampsia last time does that make you automatically high risk every time?
I’m new congrats! We’re you on a blood thinner while pregnant? I always take lovenox a blood thinner shot since I have blood clotting disorders while pregnant
I had double peak contractions with my second birth!!!! Weirdly enough I thought his birth was the easiest compared to my other two also un-medicated births.
Are you being sarcastic? Yes women have done it for thousands of years and every single one of them deserves a gold star! Have you ever had unmedicated labor and delivery? I’ve had 3 and the pain takes your soul out of your body.

Thanks for this. I have so much anxiety about my wife's delivery this week. I don't know how I'm going to handle seeing her go through it.
Hey, how did it go?

Really sad they told you it was an automatic c section just because baby was breech.

You’ll be fine! Look up Bradley birth classes locally. Was SO empowering for my husband and I.

Oh my goodness, my baby was born the same day and her name was either going to be Beau or Rayne... We chose Rayne with a nickname of "rainbow" 🥰
Also, I did Castor oil with my second and it was perfect. My ideal labor experience... I mean there was diarrhea the whole day before but other than that 😅
Oh I love that!!! So beautiful! And glad the castor oil worked lol and was a good experience! 👏🏼
Congrats! Love the baby wrap! 😁🙏🏼❤️ What is that one called? So cute! 🥹
Congratulations! A boy!! 🥰
I had my water break up high with two of my births and then their head corked it off so it’s quite possible it might have been . Congratulations
I had this happen as well!
This happened to me with 2 of mine.
Beautiful story thank you for sharing, congrats on baby boy! 💙 but how was the birth “unmedicated” with the pitocin?
Unmedicated typically means without pain medication (ie epidural).
Thank you for sharing! Wondering which labor gown you used? expecting in December and would like to avoid the hospital gown
Can I ask why you pushed laying down if you didn’t have a epidural? Isn’t it easier with gravity to be upwards ?
I was going to ask the same thing! Plus your tailbone can’t drop back freely in that position thus inhibiting full pelvic expansion.
I had 2 natural deliveries, no epidural and both laying down, I was pretty comfortable to be honest didn’t even thought about getting up , I guess it depends on each person

Amazing birth story mama!!! So similar! Thanks so much for following along all this time :)
Congrats!!!!! Love your big family and super happy for you both. Glad it went well! 😀
Thank you so much!!
Congratulations ❤️
Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your birth story. Will try for no epidural for baby #2 as it did not work with my first.
Oh gosh I can’t imagine it not working 😭 you’re a champ!!! You got this!
Absolutely beautiful, well done, Becca! Have you used clary Sage to help kickstart labor? I’m 24 weeks worth #5-my first Oily baby ❤️
Thank you!! And oh yes I tried it all lol it’s never worked for me but I’ve heard other ladies say it helped!
Go girl!
Please consider making a video if a doula was worth it and how to find a good one. ❤️
Christiana! I used to work there but now we live in Sussex county! Also, went to Penn State!!
Omg love it!!!
What was your tools for staying calm? How did you do it?
I want an unmedicated birth so badly this time! Going to aim for it
Can you link some of the hypo birthing sound tracks you used and birth affirmations!

Congratulations! Did you just do castor oil or did you mix it with anything and how much!?
You can have a little leak in the water bag without the whole bag being broken. It sounds like that is what happened to you
Did you ever address why you chose hospital birth this time? I must have missed it. I know you had preeclampsia last time does that make you automatically high risk every time?
No your history should never be a label they put on you for future pregnancies and births.
@@TheREALPurpleThrone I know that. I was curious how her doctors were going about it.
I’m new congrats! We’re you on a blood thinner while pregnant? I always take lovenox a blood thinner shot since I have blood clotting disorders while pregnant
Had my baby girl August 18th.
Not to be a hater, but can we discourage people from VLOGing while actively driving….
Agreed!
Sounds like it was forewaters
Congratulations. Curious it says unmedicated but you had patocin?
Yes, pitocin is a medication/drug, pig hormones to start contractions
Jackson Deborah Robinson Jessica Perez Timothy
Did you have any doubled or tripled up contractions? Those killed my natural birth wishes
I had double peak contractions with my second birth!!!! Weirdly enough I thought his birth was the easiest compared to my other two also un-medicated births.
8:43 you are 45 cm dialated? thats like a foot and a half :D
Not 45. Lol. 4 to 5 cm
Did you give birth barefooted or socks in the hospital bed mommy
One dollar
This is all talking
You deserve a gold star! You gave birth without medication! Wait, haven't women been doing that for, dare I say, hundreds of thousands of years?
Are you being sarcastic? Yes women have done it for thousands of years and every single one of them deserves a gold star! Have you ever had unmedicated labor and delivery? I’ve had 3 and the pain takes your soul out of your body.
Yes and at home as well for thousands of years, even with no assistance! I did it and had NO PAIN as well.
You didntvreally show him to us or tell us what he weighed and his length n all the important things
I wouldn't say those are important things. The video is about how the labor and delivery went.
@@Brikess calm down karen when a baby is born you normally want to see it and know the weight and length and name of the baby
