The fact that you are talking about a $125k build on the RWD Taycan tells you all you need to know. I’m sorry, it’s not worth that. I am a multiple Porsche owner and former EV owner and I tried really hard to convince myself to buy a Taycan since 2021 but never could get myself sold on it. I’m doubtful the facelift upgrades are enough to get it there either but I will reserve judgement. It’s a great car, but very much a first gen EV and while Porsche did a lot, it just doesn’t feel worth the price tag to me.
EV are an interesting playing field leveler. Because a 911 feels like a 911 when going slow. But a Taycan RWD feels the same as a Turbo S. Interesting.
People are buying these for daily driving and they do a fantastic job of that (when they are working). They also look stunning and IMO sometimes even better than certain 911 specs.
It's a good think if a RWD Taycan feels like a Turbo S Taycan lol. That means get the base one and save money.

Hmm a little disappointed with the video. If you are gonna be doing a slightly budget base build you have to think outside the box.
1. Its silly to pay 4-5K for wheels when you can just buy the car with the base wheels and buy another set on ebay with tires for 4-5K in new/like-new condition.
2. Not selecting the premium package is absurd when you are already seperately selecting 4 out of the 8 options which is totaling 5250 in the build you did. Instead, if you spent another $1500 for the premium package, you wouldn end up also getting adaptive cruise control, heads up display, soft close doors, and the air quality ionizer system. All for an extra 1500. Thats is because individually selecting the 8 options within the premium package costs $9440, but porsche sells the premium package for only $6700!
Overall id like to see some better price and feature analysis on these builds. You're pointing people in the wrong direction by telling them to not opt for the premium package. Anyone buying a Taycan should 1000% get that one option because it will help resale value. Other than that great video.

I don’t think I would call the revised Taycan sportier or say it has better lines. The first gen has way more exotic and aggressive curves when it comes to lines on the car. Seems like Porsche tamed those down for the second gen.
Can anyone explain why you wouldn't buy the Cross Turismo 4 for 11K more over the base RWD Taycan?
The base cross Turismo 4 comes standard with AWD (worth 3K at least), hatchback (worth 3k at least), performance battery plus (5.8K), panoramic roof (1.5K), and probably some minor stuff I'm missing.
Seems like people should just not buy the base RWD model unless you need to maximize range. I'd have to guess most buying a Taycan are making an emotional purchase. But I feel like the cross Turismo looks just as good if not better in some specs

I've had my 2025 Porsche Taycan Base model for 6 weeks now. (I had Tesla Model S.) So far, I like it,. Do you know where I can get a rear diffuser that fits this model?

@@doctorj7112 I liked the Model S very much but if I had both in my garage, I believe I would likely choose to drive the Taycan every day. It's a sportier car to drive; whereas, the Model S is a large sedan. One thing that the Taycan doesn't have that the Model S has is the Sentry mode and Dog mode.

I drive The Tesla S and thinking about buying Taycan base model. I think I am going to have to order one and wait for 3-4 months. Were you able to negotiate on price at all? Any info would be appreciated.
@@asifsiddiqui832 Right. I ordered mine in February and it was delivered June 22nd. At the Porsche Palm Beach dealer, they made it clear there was no negotiating anything, not even my trade-in. If I had known this, I would have gone to Champion Porsche 30 miles south in Pompano Beach, the largest Porsche dealer in Florida where I've heard they will negotiate at least some.
