Yes please, please do a Macan too. BTW, even though I had done a ton of different pricing models myself before watching this wonderful video of yours, I am now going to make four changes. Thank you Kyle!!!
Well done for doing this Kyle. Porsche build videos always good. One thing to note with the 21” Aero design wheels, making them the road trip efficiency choice, is that they are actually narrower than all the other 21” wheels. They have 245 on the front and 285 tires on the rear, vs 265 & 305 for the other 21” wheels. If you do a lot of driving on salty / dirty roads, it may well be worth getting the Night Vision Assist, purely for the fact that the screen wash bottle becomes more than double the size, 5.5l instead of 2.5l - for long road winter road trips that’s nice to have! Yes definitely do more of these - Macan EV, Cayenne, even a GT3 Touring!
Thanks Kyle. I think I have previously built 25 versions of my Taycan. LOL everyone one costs much more than I want, but then I want a specific high quality one so LOL mostly on me. Of course Porsche options are not inexpensive either.
Yes, please do a Macan. I have a 2020 4S and love it. I do have the night vision due to so many deer in my area and it has saved me twice. You are correct though, the lights are great but the bushes here go right to the road in many places. My partner likes her display so we have it also.
Love this Kyle. Love it when someone do a video of configurating a Porsche and leave most of the unecessary options out (you, and Nick Murray). I'm not into speccing like crazy and acting like a Porsche salesman. The pure Porsche is so great already.
Well done Kyle. I've spent a lot of time in the past on the configurator, and agree with your approaches taken here (except your exterior color choices - which of course are very personal). Totally agreed with your take on all the expensive interior options that add nothing to the experience IMO. Was always amazed when I'd see people that would spec their new 911 with leather covered steering column, leather covered vent slats, embossed logos in head rests, etc. These types of options are worth nothing at re-sale time, and add nothing to the experience IMO. I love the Cross Turismo, but am not in a financial position to own one. But I love my 22 Model 3 LR. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your well informed reviews and balanced presentations.
Pretty much agreed on the 4s spec - it’s all about the driving experience. I don’t like the panoramic roof it does very little for the driver is heavy and very expensive repair. I would add hud I love this feature. I would go 18 way seats. Maybe a couple of interior trims black alloy sills, plastic ones look cheap and possibly dark silver accents just to break it up. I have always liked the interior minimalism of Porsche and Taycan is definitely the ultimate version of this with hardly a button in sight. Great fun config video.
Tidally agree on adaptive cruise. Crazy that Porsche doesn’t make this standard and even crazier how many used taycans lack it (but have all manner of more esoteric and ridiculous options)
I enjoyed this video. I went through a similar process when specifying my 2020 4S in March 2020. In that time frame we were forced to get the panoramic roof and the big battery. The panoramic roof allows you to mount the roof rack and a smidge more headroom. I stayed with base sound system to increase the trunk height I needed to carry tools for volunteer work. I went with the 14 way seats after experiencing 8 way seats in loaner Macans. I couldn't get comfortable in the 8 way seats. I stayed with 19 inch all season tires. I also specified the 150 KW charger in hope the Tesla Supercharger network is opened to us. ...In 2020 I was able to qualify for the $7500 EV tax credit. In FL I find the ventilated front seats handy. Can you tell if the 2025 Taycan allows fresh air into the cabin the the AC off? In the winter I run the AC off but have to open the windows to ventilate the cabin. All my recent Porsches can vent fresh air into the cabin with the AC off. Aargh. I'm keeping my 2020 4S. What a depreciation hit I am taking.
Super helpful video. There are no options or details on the charging port - could you tell from seeing the pre-production cars whether the early ‘25s will come with CCS still or NACS?
New one is nice, but I got my eye on a used one. Range is fine with me as I will use this car around town for the most part and rarely if ever take it out of town. We have another car for that. This will be my fun car that I can still put a baby seat in lol!
We will NEVER see any Tesla any time soon and that's OK. (I'm happy with my MX Plaid 2023 white interior, full black PPF) BUT... maybe ... Let's get wild here for a moment. What not have a separate review, on Out of spec detailing, with potential wraps, interiors improvements, upgrades, etc. anything aftermarket (with taste - I'm European, warning!) to softly personalize a ride like this massive missile. Thanks Dave and team, greatly appreciate your work. I do not always agree with your views, but definitely come back to learn more. All the best. FJ
DO NOT BUY this car at any cost. It will loose 80% of its value in 3 months. It is heavy as fuck and not that spacious inside. It is not a global good compromise. Had one, sold it, lost $100k. Nightmare.

Definitely do the same for the Macan EV
Really enjoyed your insight here. Please do the Macan!
Another request for Macan 4 and Turbo please. 🙏🏼
Would love to see you do this for the electric macan!! And only have 2 models to go through :)
Macan please 😁
Thank you, Kyle!! Great stuff! Could you do one for the Macan as well?
So many options! great walkthrough of everything
Yes, do a Macan spec too!
Thanks Kyle. I think I have previously built 25 versions of my Taycan. LOL everyone one costs much more than I want, but then I want a specific high quality one so LOL mostly on me. Of course Porsche options are not inexpensive either.
Yes, a similar video for the Macan EV would be much appreciated!
The Premium Package has now been added to the configurator, providing significant savings for the features it includes.
Yesssss do the Macan. But yea minus a couple options, I think the dream car options are pretty spot on and the sweet spot imo

Dream 2 car family setup, Porsche Taycan and a Kia EV9
Please do the Macan too! We have one on order and I want to make sure that I didn't miss anything.

My dream car is a Taycan and the EV Macan. This helps a ton because I will be getting one this year.

Thanks so much for the in-depth look! Any significant differences in how you would option the "reasonable" sedan new versus pre-refresh?
They should just drop the 0-60 .1s for every $3000 you spend on stitching or CF.

Hi,. could you plaese do a Cayenne coupe 2024 base model V6 build with focus on max comfort then looks? Love ur videos!
I am surprised Kyle liked the Provence/Lavender paint. I didn't think it was understated enough.
Thanks for the advice. Are the new Taycan affected by the Belarus chipset issue that is delaying import of new Porsche into the USA?
first click on the configurator and select a petrol engine. Then you stand some chance of not loosing your shirt when it comes time to sell
which would you pick for a cannonball run?
How could you skip those amazing pepita cloth seats?!
If you only could choose one would it be Macan or Taycan?

Does the average person swap tires for a road trip?
Macan
The only option missing, is no depreciation option!!!

Puddle lights 🤮
