Look up Hallelujah tab online, the original song is in C major (A minor) but he's doing it in G major (E minor), just transpose the chords down :)

I feel like this could easily become a Trivium cover, that middle section felt like a Trivium song. He did this song such justice. I was pleasantly surprised. Matt Heafy is too good!
Matt Heafy, amazing vocalist, amazing guitarist, and all around a super intellectual person. I've sadly never been to one of their concerts and probably wont any time soon because of a recent development of social anxiety, but from the moment I heard their music I've loved them. And one day I hope I do get to go to a concert, and if I am lucky meet them, or hell just give'm a high five. Nick is an inspiration for my drums. Matt for amazing vocals, granted my singing sucks. This cover, amazing!

I've been watching Matt Heafy's acoustic material that's been popping up on here lately. And how good he does on all of these songs from all sorts of different genres, just proves how talented and versatile he is. Keep it up Matt!
Where is the origination of this song, from previous artist I've heard this from, Matt, you've done the best, and you've shown your potential with your voice through all aspects and that's what I respect and like about Trivium and you. You guys have inspired me since '03 and I'm 22 now.
I think he just plays some notes of the Eminor scale with the 6th string (which stays on the E) and the A and D strings... I dunno if you see what I mean, I'm french so I don't know if I used the right words to explain the stuff ^_^'
He puts heart into his music, is one of the best rhythm guitarists in Rock/Metal music (Colin Richardson said it) and thanks to him I'm more open minded person. That's why I wrote this comment. BTW You would lose your money because since 27th April I'm 18.
Well in my opinion he is, not only as a musician, but as a nice guy who is fascinated by everything what he is seeing. And by the way what's the problem? I said "one of the most inspiring" not "the most inspiring"...
people say Trivium is the next Metallica, and Heafy is the next Hetfield. hetfield was simply the precursor. Holy god. I want a Trivium cover album, and a few acoustics from Matt, or even a live one.
This was fucking beautiful to listen to. If this was on your next record or released as a single I would buy it in a heartbeat. This cover kicks as much ass as any other song Trivium has done rock on man \m/
They're finishing the Europe tour on the 20th. Then going into the studio in Jan/Feb for Album number 6. So they'll have a good 6-7 months before they're touring again

Matt's voice always amazing for me for years. Everyone says he has a Baritone voice type, its completely wrong. He has a Dramatic Tenor voice type.

It's half-step-down, but we will just ignore this..
So the basics of the Chords are E-minor, D, C and A#-minor...
I think so... and if you only play the 2cnd, 4th and 5th string it sound pretty like Matt plays it, in my opinion of course ;)
I do agree with kjahtill, I tried to cover it too, and I think he plays the A and D string, 14th, 12th, 10th and 9th fret fit for me... I do play the 2nd string as an addition, 12th, 10th, 8th and 7th... Like it...

Amazing. Trivium is one of my favorite metal bands. With time i havent listened to metal as much, but seeing this is so great. Love seeing when artist have a wide range.
