Periphery: Juggerdoc - “It’s actually been a very low stress experience” The Making of P3 - “Yeah it’s been great, we all wanted to kill ourselves during Juggernaut”
Juggernaut was a pretty difficult and stressful experience for a number of reasons, and at times felt like it was too much for us to handle. But it was a fucking walk in the park compared to P2 haha. P3 and P4 were some of my favorite experiences making music ever.
next GTA? what about those NEW VEHICLES AND MISSIONS THAT WILL COST YOU HOURS OF GRIND JUST TO UNLOCK THEM? obs: the new vehicles still get blown up by opressor mk2, and we're not nerfing that
@@fr33mind29 one time I played a huge live show with a dingwall ng3 through my rig worth thousands of dollars. Then I woke up to my squier p bass and 5 watt practice amp.
yeah, the juggernaut albums were my daily morning listen to get up and going for about a year and i still love them to death even 5 years after release.
I know the members often talk about how stressful this album was to make, but I'm so glad and thankful that they did. Jug is one of may favorite albums of all time. The melodic, rhythmic, and lyrical motifs throughout the record, along with the narrative being told is so incredible. All the little details are so important and do not go unnoticed. Thank you so much Periphery for such a masterful work of art, I promise the heartache was worth it and I as well as many other fans appreciate it more than you know.
@@HeFoundAgartha my opinion bas changed yet again lol with P4 as my favourite and the rest in reverse order. It changes so much that I may as well not even bother trying to make a list
Whoa, cool to see this officially online after so many years. This project means so much to me and directing this was one of my favorite experiences. Love my P bros. I think I still have the 80 minute directors cut somewhere...
@alexpressplay this was so well done. Just wanna take a minute and say how sick all the editing is in this. Hits so much harder when you hear the song and it cuts to them laying it down in the sessions or goofing off. This was my favorite of all of the documentaries by far. I hope we get more with your involvement!
Hearing Nolly laugh at balls clapping is the most wholesome thing my ears have EVER laid witness too. AND THEN he samples it for drum samples. I love being alive sometimes.
Juggernaut will forever remain one of the most important albums I’ve ever listened to. Certainly it’s my favourite Periphery work to date. So dark. So deeply emotive.
1:57 I love how Taylor first snaps at Matt and curses at him, then starts sucking up to him and asking him to get into this literally five seconds later. Good edit.
P1 was the first step of an incredible journey. P2 had riffage, vocals and drums never seen before in the industry. Alpha/Omega had the best feel and atmosphere. P3 was the freedom of being 100% independent and creating everything on your own. P4 combined everything together. P5? P5 will be totla mad. Thank you for incredible work that lead us to one of the most unique and interesting music in our lives... so far!
You can tell Jake was going through a hard time during this album. So glad he's out of it and in a much healthier place now. Juggernaut was an awesome album! Thanks for the doco, boys.
Juggernaut specifically has resonated with me, and invoked so many emotions from it's release until now. It's only taken me nearly 10 years to say but thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I *love* a heartfelt speech about each member having a perfectionist edge while simultaneously battering fools on GTA. That's a stark contrast I never knew I wanted until now.
Oh man, I was working in the studio with Taylor when they were recording this! I was still pretty new to music production then and I was floored by how much work went into these records.
Did anyone else also like the production on Juggernaut the most from all their albums? I absolutely love the way it sounds, the super low-end/bass sound the drums and guitars had to them. Not saying I don't like the production done on the rest of their albums, because I absolutely do, just asking if anyone else think's the same as me?
What I like about Periphery is that they actually use their sig series guitars when recording. I have always been disappointed when I find out a band doesn't actually use equipment that they get paid to endorse.
I know the guys had a tough time making it but I think all the hard work paid off. Maybe the juggernaut albums weren’t everyone’s favorite like P2 but I always felt like they were the biggest artistic flex for Periphery.
Every year or so I have a period where I go back and listen to these two albums almost obsessively. I genuinely think it's the best work of music I've ever heard, in merit of so many things. My best friend and bandmate has the notation for the drum break in 'Stranger Things' tattooed on his arm, as well.
the video edit when yall added in the full song at the end of heavy heart and faded from the acoustic thing gave me chills. mad props to the video dude, and Periphery for concealing great content for so long and releasing it mid pandemic LOL

I was at the show in the ending of the documentary (10/14/2014 at Revolution Music Hall in Amityville, NY with Toothgrinder, Intervals, and The Contortionist) and it's still one of my favorite Periphery shows, not to mention that's where Psychosphere was first played live!
