I hope that your reading goes well next year! I can't promise that I'll finish all of my series (I'm in the middle of quite a few, haha 😅), but I do plan to prioritize them, and I'm really looking forward to starting some that I've been excited about for so long now.

🐺 I am also in the middle of "Given" and hope to finish it by the end of the year. I've read the first five volumes but it's been a while so I probably should reread the whole series, I also enjoyed the Anime but I think "Sasaki & Miyano" is my favorite. "Delicious in Dungeon" is on my wishlist as well. Your cats are so cute, by the way. I love watching those little clips at the end of your videos. 🐈‍⬛

Aww, thank you!! They are the sweetest babies. 💜🐈‍⬛🐈 I am really enjoying Given, but I also love Sasaki & Miyano more. I really hope we get more of the series adapted into an anime! 🐺

@@AubreyLikestoRead Yeah, that would be wonderful, but I am just so happy that the Sasaki & Miyano artbook gets released in English this month. Ever since I saw the Japanese edition I wanted it, but books in Japanese are really hard to get where I live, the English artbook I can get, though. And I am so excited. 😁

@@Mio_Lind Oh, me, too!! 😄😄 I wish that English manga publishers would publish more of the extras (artbooks, fan books, etc.) that they get in Japan. I do think it's become more common, though, so that's great! 😊

@@AubreyLikestoRead So true. I am from Austria, so I read the majority of my manga in German because that's just easier and cheaper - though I usually prefer reading my books in English, but both English and German manga publishers pick up extras more frequently these days. I am very happy about that, my wallet isn't always quite as happy though. Haha. 😅

@@Mio_Lind Haha, I completely understand! There are so many great things out there; I wish I could get them all! But when it's something for one of my favorite series, my bank account just has to deal with it. 😅🙃

I have to finish The Outsider by Stephen King. It's the 4th book in the Mr. Mercedes series. There are some other books I have to finish, too, but right now that one takes priority in the "still have a few chapters left" category.

Are you a big Stephen King fan? Also, do you read multiple books at once?

@AubreyLikestoRead I do enjoy a good Stephen King novel. I'm not anywhere near a completionist when it comes to his huge library of work, but I have yet to read one I didn't enjoy.
I do read multiple books at the same time. I have books I'm reading just as part of my normal reading life, books I'm reading for bookclubs, books I'm reading for reading challenges, books I'm reading because they were gifts, books I'm reading to see if the material is good to share with others for educational purposes, etc. Some have a higher priority than others or deadlines, but I create systems around everything I do to keep order and only do things I enjoy outside of work. It sounds like a lot, and in a way, it is, but that's what pretty planners are for. 🤓 I like to take what could be chaos and force it to be simple.

@@LoveShannon Oh, wow! I'm very impressed, haha! I typically only read one book at a time unless I have no other choice, such as reading for school, work, etc. I do have a lot of ongoing fanfics that I'm working through, though, as well as a ton of series (and podcasts and TV shows).
I've never read any Stephen King. I'm personally not much of a horror fan. I understand what you mean, though; I have some authors who I try to read all of their works, while with others, I pick and choose.

@AubreyLikestoRead Yup! Every week, there is generally one book that, if my schedule is tight, takes priority over the others. For example, this week, I need to read Stranger In A Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein because l have a bookclub meeting on it next week. So, if I get behind one night, that would take priority over something else the next night. I'm also catching up on a show I'm a year behind on because the episodes disappear after a year, and I'm trying to watch something holiday related every day to get in the mood. Those things take priority status if I get off track, but I give myself space to play catch-up on weekends if necessary. Aside from movies, most things really only need an hour or less, so if I have 4 or 5 hours before bedtime I can accomplish a lot. lol If I read an hour a day, most average length books only take about 5 days to complete, which often leaves the weekend to give time to a few others. Podcasts or audiobooks I conquer in the car. RUclips or other shows I can watch to fall asleep. Music is while I do chores. lol It all has a roughly followed system.

@@LoveShannon Haha, I understand! I'm not as systematic, but I do reserve certain types of media for certain activities or times of day. For example, I listen to podcasts and music when in the car, doing chores, completing tasks for work that don't require too much thought (or, if they do, I listen to instrumental music or anime soundtracks since I don't understand Japanese). Otherwise, with books, shows, and movies, I choose what to enjoy based on my mood or what I'm feeling at that particular moment. Although I do tend to either read fanfictions or watch RUclips videos at night in bed while trying to wind down.
