Hi Patrick, not related to your post, but I have the Apple Pencil 2 but we have 3 iPads. The iPad Air, the Pro and the Mini 6. Used the Pencil on the air first. Then moved it to the pro. Just got the mini 6 but it won’t work on the 6. I tried to “forget the device” on IPod pro and Air, but after many attempts I can only use it now on the IPad Pro. Have you had any luck migrating it, or do you have any tips? Love your videos! Thanks
My Stylus guide: If you have a an iPad that has the weird-Apple porta buy the crayon If you have the new iPads that can have wireless charging buy the new Apple Pencil
Good coverage, Patrick! I was wondering between these two as well. The lack of pressure sensitivity is unfortunate, but for half the price it is a nice option!
Patrick Rambles heyy i have a question...i’m a beginner and i draw in graphic style..which stylus is better for me?i want the crayon because of the price and i don’t know what pressure sensitivity is lol
Patrick Rambles oh and by the way i don’t know if it’s called graphic style but what i mean is i mostly use the paint brush and pen.and sometimes water brush.
Hi John, I wouldn't recommend the crayon for drawing. It's too clunky. Pressure sensitivity is the ability of the stylus to detect pressure. When you push down on the stylus, you get a thicker line, just like a real pencil. The crayon doesn't do that, which makes drawing less realistic. I know the Apple Pencil is more expensive, but if art is what you will use it for, consider spending the extra money. It will be worth it. Hope that helps :)
If you have (or are planing on getting) the iPad 8 witch I’d recommend for most people. Get the Logitech crayon. And a nice quality key bored case. And you’ll have something nice
I’m really loving the second gen Apple Pencil. I love the weight and balance of it, and the fact that it’s always cheffed is awesome! But the crayon is interesting because it’s a different take. I use super cheap screen protectors from Amazon that really make the iPad feel like paper.
Thanks so much for stopping by, Tom! Yeah the Pencil is amazing. You know, I'd try an off brand screenprotector too, but I never know which ones are good!
Hey some quick feedback about you video... the transition in the beginning with the shot of the Apple Pencil the sound is very mellow and then your little intro animation is very robust and loud and then it suddenly changes back to mellow music. Try making it more uniform so it flows better.
I guess the crayon would be a considerable option for people who already own a standard iPad or iPad Air. For iPad Pro owners the Apple Pencil Gen 2 is still the no brainer since there is no need to attach a lightning cable just to charge it. Yet it's very nice and helpful that you've tested the crayon! Btw I just got my paperlike 2 screen protector, which you've recommended, and just have to wait for my iPad Pro 12.9 + Apple Pencil to arrive, I cannot wait to use it! I give a thumb up not only because I like puppies, but because it was a nice video! Also good luck at the contest! 😁
You did an excellent job showing the differences between each. I have a much better idea about both now, so thanks for that! Also, I had to hit the like button since we can’t be hating puppies here lol
Would you recommend the Apple Pencil, even if I don’t draw? I’m in high school and my friend told me its game changing for notes. I’m worried about the price point, and just bought a open box iPad Pro m1. Is this right for me?
I swear by it. Not only for note taking but just to flick around the iPad as well. If you do plan to do handwritten notes, consider a matte screenprotector like Paperlike. It makes it less slippery and more like paper.
Thank you very much for convincing me to buy apple pencil 2 instead of crayon. Where i live crayon is 2/3rd the price of an apple pencil. So it is a no brainer
Thanks! It depends. I guess that if you want to make nuances in your drawings and distinguish between thinner and thicker lines, you'll need the pressure sensitivity.
@@PatrickRambles Thank YOU man. Just got an iPad Air 4 and I was stuck between the crayon and gen 2. Your video convinced me to get the Apple Pencil. Omw to Best Buy right now! Finishing the video on the way😂🤷🏻🤦🏻
i just need a stylus type thing,so ill buy a knockoff,im not that lazy i need to spend more money for double tap,i mean wot did you do before the double tap was introduced🤣

Hello, I was just wondering if there was like any tips that like you can get for the Apple Pencil for the crayon

Wow, I only have an iPad Mini 6
Loved the aesthetics and feel of this video! Great choice in background music and such an informative comparison.
Thanks Rjey! That'd high praise coming from you 🙏

As someone who was interested in buying the Apple Pencil but felt it was too expensive, this video is extremely interesting!
Thanks Adam! I'm glad you liked it 😁👍
Good coverage, Patrick! I was wondering between these two as well. The lack of pressure sensitivity is unfortunate, but for half the price it is a nice option!
Thanks man! Yes, it's a great alternative, as long as you're not a hardcore artist 😁

I draw cartoon characters and stuff like that because they’re easier and as i said i’m a beginner

Patrick is all Biceps and iPad gotta love it!
😂😂😂😂😂
I love the Apple Pencil more , the details in making that is amazing and how it can’t roll for long and the weight is more on one angle
I agree, the apple pencil is the more sophisticated option!
If you have (or are planing on getting) the iPad 8 witch I’d recommend for most people. Get the Logitech crayon. And a nice quality key bored case. And you’ll have something nice
Informative as usual. Great video, Patrick!
Thanks so much man, I appreciate it!
Love the lighting setup man!

Patrick Rambles any matte screen protector with good rating will do just fine!
I'll check it out!
Loving the relaxing music you used 👌🏾
Thanks man! 🙏
I was wondering which to buy for the upcoming school year, this video is super helpful!
Thanks, Bonnie!
Perfect review and comparison of this two products! Thank You!
Thanks Adam!
Thanks for your video! It was very clear and I really liked your warm tone :D
Thank you :)
Try Bellemond it is matte but you can use it’s cloth to wipe away scratches unlike paperlike.

Hi Hector, thanks! Yes, the intro is the same every time so it doesn't always match. Something to look into from my end 🙂
Patrick Rambles yeah is just some feedback from the viewer perspective.
And it is much appreciated! I am still very new to the game, started in April this year, so lots to learn still 😁
Love your video. Great job!
Thank you ❤️
Very nice work! Great review and persona coming through
Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words 🙂
@4:04 That's me. I don't like touching my screens with my fingers, I have to have a stylus.

Haha, thanks so much 😁🐶. I bet you look forward to receiving it all, it's great fun to work with 👍
@@PatrickRambles btw patrick, have you heard of the recently released Logitech Folio Touch?
I have, it looks very Windows surface-like... Interesting! I wonder whether it supports the gestures etc. Something to look into!
Which would you get your 3 year old?
Crayon. A three year old won't need pressure sensitivity :)
Well done !!! Nice video
Thank you!!
Great comparison! The intro is nice well done.
Thank you so much, appreciate it a lot!
You did an excellent job showing the differences between each. I have a much better idea about both now, so thanks for that! Also, I had to hit the like button since we can’t be hating puppies here lol
Haha, nope, no puppy hating here 🐶
An update vid for this would be cool. Especially bcs of iPadOS 14.
I'm going to do an iPad Pro/Magic Keyboard 6 months later soon and I will cover this as well :)
Here's to Patrick winning this competition!
❤️❤️❤️
Love the intro.. Spinning + soothing music..
Thank you 🙂
We are fine and happy to see your happy face 😃

Absolutely!
I subscribed to your channel! Love your video’s. Apple Pencil is ordered after watching this video!
Thanks :)
Shame about the lack of pressure sensitivity on Logitech's stylus. Otherwise I'd have been a slam dunk!
Agreed.
Does the Logitech Crayon support iPadOS Scribble, quick note, and screenshot features??
I don't currently have it to test, but I don't see why it shouldn't. None of those features require pressure sensitivity.
@@PatrickRambles Okay, thank you for the response 😄
I'd go for the Apple pencil, seems to be more feature packed than the Logitech crayon, both seem like great styluses regardless
Definitely more feature rich. Both have their pusposes I guess 😁
Just a shame about the apple tax :(
I love your vids! I don’t own the iPad though lol. It’s on my wishlist for Christmas.
Thanks man! Awesome thing to have on your list 👍
Would you use a stylus?
Patrick Rambles Yes.
I have the Logitech Crayon & the Uogic Pencil. They're both good!!
Agreed.
Love the Logitech Crayon for sure!! My favorite!
Thanks for plugging in, Coach 😜.
Can the Logitech crayon be used on iPad mini 6?
Sure :)
Narration is on point 🎯
Thanks, that's very kind of you!
Haha love the intro man.
Thanks dude! Appreciate you stopping by 🙏
Would the lack of pressure sensitivity also be an issue for a total beginner artist. Thanks for the video!
Thanks! It depends. I guess that if you want to make nuances in your drawings and distinguish between thinner and thicker lines, you'll need the pressure sensitivity.
@@PatrickRambles Got it thanks.
Awesome vid, bro!
Thanks man!
Double digits 😂.
Happy birthday to your son, may the Lord grant his heart desire.
Thank you! Not my son, but a great kid nonetheless!
Another solid video💪🏼
Thanks Justin 🙌

Thanks!
Sweet sweet video ✨🔥🔥

Great vid!
Many thanks Sean, I appreciate it ❤️
Nice video👍😁
Thanks!
Do Apple pencil tips for the crayon?
Do you mean do the pencil tips work with the crayon?
Will you please let me know if the apple pencil tip work with the logitech crayon??
Hey man! Unfortunately not.
It does work actually.
@@779wolf wait, are we talking about the same tip?
@@PatrickRambles Apple Pencil tip does work as a replacement for Logitech Crayon.
Aaaaah. The Pencil in the video is the second gen.
I think the first step is that I buy an iPad right?
LOL. That helps, yes 😂
Nice one😁
Thanks!! ❤️
Great video!
Thanks Shayaan ❤️
Patrick Rambles Best of Luck for the #mcpcontest
Thanks man, I'll need it 😁
Happy birthday to him and I'm 10 too!
i just need a stylus type thing,so ill buy a knockoff,im not that lazy i need to spend more money for double tap,i mean wot did you do before the double tap was introduced🤣
What did you do before the iPad was introduced?
Thums down, if you really hate puppies....so funny, I like this guy. Thanks a lot for the information about Crayon.
😂😂 it had to be said. Thanks to kind words 🙏
Bro could you try it on an iPhone to see if it work on it
It doesn't :). Only "dumb" styluses, basically just rubber tips that emulate your finger, will work.
So glad to see that nobody hates puppies 🐶. 🤣🤣🤣
Right? I was afraid for them 🐶🐶🐶 🤣
Good vid it was so amazing
No words to describe it btw good job 👏 I hope I get one of these 😓😜
Thanks so much for the kind words! The give away video is the next one 😁
Ah yeah
You should definitely take part!
My apple pencil doesn’t work half the time. Don’t waste your money.
That probably means you have a faulty Apple Pencil. I'd take it in to an Apple store. They're supposed to work all the time
@@PatrickRambles The tip of the pencil was loose. Now it works fine. Thank you!
Thanks 😊 I’m an artist and I am gonna get the Apple Pencil 😊
I still use it daily and love it!
@@PatrickRambles I’m sure I will too
I used both and the gen 2 pencil is deff Superior
Agreed.
Agreed, although the gen 2 pencil is more expensive and not build for education and rough use.
Penoval A4 Pro
i feel kinda dumb when it said crayon in the name i thought it really meant that it would write like a crayon on your device lmao
😂 You're brave, for sharing that. I bet some drawing apps have that option though, so you're still a little bit right 😁
@@PatrickRambles haha yeah!
Awesome!
Thanks!!
Seems like this 6 people really hate puppies 😂
IKR 🤣. Pure cruelty..
Ummm so i need to sell two parrots to get the pencil only? .-.
Parrots?
Patrick Rambles ya i love them :D i breed and sell sooo it’s a good way to collect money because I can’t work in a job yet 😂

The design of the Logitech Crayon is so wired.
Yes, it really does look like a carpenters pencil! It's weird to hold too. Takes some getting used to!
