She is family and nobody can say different. In a matter of 5 months, I lost my best friend from kindergarten, my Great Dane, my husband and my niece. It's horrible losing people you love so much and your fur babies. You are in my thoughts. You'll get through this. It's still so soon, but one day at a time. My heart was breaking for you when you first got her. When I saw her and could see she was a senior my heart hurt for you. What you have gone through this year is a tremendous amount of grief. And we always wonder if we did our best for our pets. I believe Finn aways felt your love. His last few months were different with Pip coming to live with you but from your videos I know you and your husband did everything you could to make him feel all your love. Taking your mom’s dog was a wonderful thing. I know my grown kids will not take my dog or cats if I die before them and that is a burden to me. I lost my 15 year old dog last December. She and my other dog tolerated each other. I had her first. But he would never go outside unless she did. Now I have to go out with him everytime. I have a friend that is going though this now. Letting go is hard, but eventually, sometimes it's better to let go of them for their sake. Although it's easier said than done YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Pip and Finn will always be a part of you just like your Momma will always be in your heart. When we love we love unconditionally. I hope and pray she pulls thru but when these blocks happen it's hard to manage. My kitty is going thru kidney issues. She will be 11 years old and pretty soon I will have to make a decision myself because it's something that has no cure when it's the kidneys and being a senior. Pip is NOT just a dog! She is a loved family member! Dachshunds are the best breed. Very feisty, possessive but so loving to their people. We lost our 3rd, Beatrice(aka Beezer) a couple of years ago.

Okay first of all this was really hard to watch. Because I know exactly how you feel, and I just wanted to give you a hug because I know how hard this is. It's really too bad you can't just give her something so the blockage will slide out if you know what I mean. My Muffin did some similar things like get sick and stop eating. Me having no money I couldn't take her to the vet. But that didn't stop me from asking what I can do. And when they said give her Pepto and tuna juice. I did and she started eating and drink water again. I loved her immediately when I got her, but I didn't know that until she got sick. I prayed so hard for her to get better. An now she's 6 years old. I always panic if she doesn't want to eat or drink. Because I don't ever want to lose her. What has helped me take could care of her is treat her like a baby. So, if anyone calls her a dog or animal. I am like no Shes my daughter, the light and love of my life. My soul mate. She is my blessing. Not only are you still grieving you have other things going on with you. And you just can't seem to find the balance because sometimes we're born without the proper blueprints, and we usually have to hang on for dear life because we don't get to go on the easy elevator, we have to use the stairs. It's one step at a time. The step you are taking right now is you are finding your love for Pip. You thought she was a reminder in a negative way and now you are realizing her being there with you isn't negative. It's a blessing in disguise.
I don't want to like this. I really just want to give you a hug. We had a doxie poo that acted like a puppy as well. I think it is one of the dachshund traits. She loved her food , chewing up shoes, underwear, & bones. She passed in February of 2023 at 12 years old. My cousin Cheri fosters dachshunds, and she has a few that love to do zoomies around the yard & in the house. They can be a handful, but they are wonderful & loyal. I hope Pip gets better soon. Hugs

It's all so very difficult. Grief no matter if it's for humans we lose or pet fur babies, it hurts so deeply. I've been through it many times with pets, and I lost both of my parents a long time ago, so I totally understand the season you are in right now. Prayers for you, for Pip and your husband. ❤🙏

Letting go is hard, but eventually, sometimes it's better to let go of them for their sake. Although it's easier said than done YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Pip and Finn will always be a part of you just like your Momma will always be in your heart. When we love we love unconditionally. I hope and pray she pulls thru but when these blocks happen it's hard to manage. My kitty is going thru kidney issues. She will be 11 years old and pretty soon I will have to make a decision myself because it's something that has no cure when it's the kidneys and being a senior. I pray all works out for both you and Pip.❤

You loved your mom, Finn was your fur baby, Pip is your fur friend. Hope she pulls through. Accept my virtual hug. I lost my fur baby in December, then my fur friend died in May. They can never be replaced. They bring so much joy to us. Know that we are all hoping & praying for the best. Be good to yourself.
Hope she gets all that out she is so sweet and just loves you . We who have had those dogs know just how they are so so territorial . We used pumpkin to try to keep things going

Oh, Pip is not just a dog. She is part of your family, just like Finn was. It is very painful to watch a family member be in pain. Pets give us so much unconditional love and comfort, you have every right to feel the way you are feeling. She is not your last connection to your mom. You are the connection to your mom and she will always be in your heart.

Kieran, so sorry to hear Pip is not doing well. She is part of your family. I understand completely how the possibility of losing her may feel like having to let go of the last part of your mom also. You’ve experienced a lot of loss in a short period of time. I’m sending prayers and hugs your way for all of you including Pip. Sorry to hear about Pip. Hugs. I took care of my brothers dog after he passed and then he died about 5 years later and I was very attached. It is so hard.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Be strong , you got this! When my mom passed I told myself ….. “ My mom would want me to be sad, it would make her very unhappy.” So I stopped crying and everything started to change. Pip is NOT just a dog! She is a loved family member! Dachshunds are the best breed. Very feisty, possessive but so loving to their people. We lost our 3rd, Beatrice(aka Beezer) a couple of years ago.

Okay first of all this was really hard to watch. Because I know exactly how you feel, and I just wanted to give you a hug because I know how hard this is. It's really too bad you can't just give her something so the blockage will slide out if you know what I mean.
My Muffin did some similar things like get sick and stop eating. Me having no money I couldn't take her to the vet. But that didn't stop me from asking what I can do. And when they said give her Pepto and tuna juice. I did and she started eating and drink water again.
I loved her immediately when I got her, but I didn't know that until she got sick. I prayed so hard for her to get better. An now she's 6 years old. I always panic if she doesn't want to eat or drink. Because I don't ever want to lose her. What has helped me take could care of her is treat her like a baby.
So, if anyone calls her a dog or animal. I am like no Shes my daughter, the light and love of my life. My soul mate. She is my blessing.
Not only are you still grieving you have other things going on with you. And you just can't seem to find the balance because sometimes we're born without the proper blueprints, and we usually have to hang on for dear life because we don't get to go on the easy elevator, we have to use the stairs. It's one step at a time. The step you are taking right now is you are finding your love for Pip. You thought she was a reminder in a negative way and now you are realizing her being there with you isn't negative. It's a blessing in disguise.
I don't want to like this. I really just want to give you a hug. We had a doxie poo that acted like a puppy as well. I think it is one of the dachshund traits. She loved her food , chewing up shoes, underwear, & bones. She passed in February of 2023 at 12 years old. My cousin Cheri fosters dachshunds, and she has a few that love to do zoomies around the yard & in the house. They can be a handful, but they are wonderful & loyal. I hope Pip gets better soon. Hugs

Pip is sick?! Toys aren’t sick or well at all! Since they don’t have feelings or emotions. Only real dogs do!! We people have feelings and emotions!!
