I lost my mom on October 20, 2023, I am still at a loss. She had dementia, and lived with me for the last year and half of her life. We will never get over the loss of our mom's, but life eventually gets better. I can go some days without crying. You will get there. We must grieve in our own way, because they were important and they were loved!

I am so very sorry. I’m glad my videos helped you, and I know your videos will help others! ❤ Allowing yourself to grieve and feel whatever it is you are feeling is so important;don’t let anyone tell you how you should act or feel. I think it’s wonderful that you have Pip. I am sure she is grieving in her own way, too.

You will always miss her. I lost my mom in 2015 and not a day goes by that I don’t miss her. Take the time you need. I carry a small rock in my pocket every day that I found on her dresser. It reminds me she is always with me. Talk about her, laugh about things she did and said. Time doesn’t make you forget ever, but it does help with the major emotional roller coaster.

Oh Sweetheart I am so very sorry!, I lost my mom a few years ago and it is true the first year will be the hardest with all the firsts. My advice is to lean into all the grief. Everyone deals with it differently. Anything you feel is right.. Big Hugs to you!

I lost both of my parents this past July. One day apart. I was so blessed to have 65 years with them. One of my sisters and I were able to be with them 24/7, weeks took turns. They were both on hospice and we knew the end was near the last week, but it was still very hard on my siblings and me. Everyone greaves differently so don’t let anyone tell you when you should be felling better. You do you. Feel all the feelings. And remember all the memories. God bless you and your family. 💞💞💞

I am sorry for your immense loss. I lost a parent 8 years ago and it is still a process to process grief. I still have my dad’s cell number in my phone. I don’t call it, but I just can’t bring myself to ever delete it.
My advice to you is be patient with yourself. You are a human being and the world will be seen differently now. There’s the life with her and now processing life without her physically here. And You carry as many tissues as you need. Everywhere you go, something with reminder of her and that is an amazing thing. And don’t ever feel like you have to apologize for being emotional or crying. Grief is the love you continue to have for that amazing person. Sending you infinite hugs of comfort.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in 2014. It’s hard especially if you’re close to your mom. It feels like you’re in a horrible dream. Don’t worry about crying when something reminds you of her. Eventually you will feel better but even now hearing you talk I’m crying not just for you but for my mom that I still miss so much. I think you should get a shirt of your mom to put by her dog. It will smell like her. I’m sure she is confused and wondering where she went. It might comfort her. Take care ❤

Little Pip is going to be such a gift for you, to know that you’re caring for and continuing to nurture such a big part of your mom’s life. Sometimes the waves will be huge and seem so insurmountable. Eventually they get less intense. They’ll never go away, but you learn to ride them a little more smoothly. What a beautiful way to honor her memory. 💜

I am so very sorry for your loss!! Losing a mother is one of the hardest things I think we ever go through in life, especially when she is also your best friend . It really does change everything. It’s a long road to ride but she gave you the strength to keep going along that road. My heart goes out to you and your family. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Your Mom will be missed when you go thrifting. Your Mom got to see that you figured out your health problems. Parental quilt. She loved you an your sisters. You helped your Mom fix up her house an yard. So l don't think you have to be worried about not doing enough. Cherish the moments. I heard that it's okay to ask for favors or help. It's one moment at a time to get through it. It's really hard . Know it's okay to grieve. It's a terrible loss. You at least had a loving Mom. You are lucky.😢

I am so sorry Kieren. I was so sad to see this video. I didn’t even know her, but I always loved seeing your mom in your videos. She gave off that sense of being a stable, loving, and supportive mother even just from the little snippets you shared. Some of my favorite videos of yours were when you and your sister gave your mom’s home a makeover. I remember how proud all of you were for her to buy that house. Even though the loss is too soon, it is clear that you and your sisters and mom filled your time together well with lots of love and fun and laughter. That truly is such a blessing and I hope you’ll be able to let those memories carry you through. I’m praying that God will give you and your family comfort, peace, and strength as you mourn this profound loss.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in 2012, so I understand what you’re feeling. There will be times when the grief is overwhelming, but as time goes on it lessens. At some point your mom’s memory will make you smile instead of cry. You’ll get there. In the mean time, take comfort in knowing you were the best daughter any mother could have. You’re in my thoughts.

I am really sorry for your loss! I know from viewing your videos that she would be by your side as you thrifted! My mom passed as well last August. Her death was so sudden. She passed at the hospital in New York. The worst of it was that it was the morning of her 83rd birthday! I was by her side till the end, but I felt knumb. My mind could not process that it really did happen! As the days went by, it hit me, and that's when I broke down, realizing that we would never again have our daily phone chats. GOD is my strength. You will never forget all the cherished memories you shared. It will get easier, I promise! Going back to work with the kids will help you. Kids have a way of putting a smile on our faces. Take all the time needed to grieve, stay strong. I wanna thank you for sharing!

I am so very sorry. I lost my Mother in December 2017.
The only advice I have is to remember that your Mother, more than anyone, would not want her love for you or your love for her to cause you pain. The best way to honor her is to be as happy as you can be. When my Mother first died I was walking around, trance like and basically living with her. It felt like living with the dead. A sweet friend made a small remark that opened my eyes. Mama wanted for me to be happy!!!
Grief is love with no where to go. I found making cards for two churches to be a good place to put the love. It does help.

It’s been nearly 30 yrs since my Mom left me and I can tell you with truth, that memories will come and tears will come with them but you’ll go on with life. For your mental state of mind you can only do your best to not continuously be in a state of sadness and believe in your heart, that your Mom is still seeing you through heavens window. You’ll never forget her, you’ll forever miss her but only with time the grief you have now will fade and bring memories of her that will eventually put a smile on your face and warm your heart. A Canadian friend that’s been where you are now, take care.xo

For 36 years you were truly blessed to have such a wonderful mum, I'm so sorry she has gone. Her spirit is definitely carried on through you and your sisters. As you were both crafty maybe you could write some of the special memories down and scrapbook them, alongside printed photos in a thrifted album. Then you can look back at it or add to it when you are feeling sad and grieving. You could even ask your sisters and your husband to add any memories they have of you and your mum together. Pip knows you were so close to your mum and have the same mannerisms that's why pip has drawn close to you. God bless you from Emily in the UK

I lost my mom 27 years ago. My best advice is to give yourself time and grace. Let the waves come, don’t judge yourself, everyone’s grief journey is different. I can tell you that for me, it isn’t painful anymore. Would I choose for it to not have happened? Absolutely, but that acute pain is no longer present. Now, that may not be the case for everyone, but I do remember at some point in the last decade realizing that it was no longer painful, that it was just a matter of fact that this unfortunate thing happened, but the reality no longer brings me tears. And I’m not cold hearted or anything, I guess the wound is just healed over a bit. Best to you 💕

I'm so sorry about your mom and I know how you must miss her. I lost my husband suddenly 3 weeks before our 3rd wedding anniversary--he was just 45. It was so very hard. I remember the first time I went to the grocery store after his passing and bawling in front of the blueberries. They were his favorite. My pastor gave me some good advice--he gave me lots of advice really, but the one that was the most helpful was simply to plan something each day to look forward too. It could be as simple as having an ice cream cone, or watching a movie we both loved, or taking a bubble bath or going for a drive. He encouraged me to decide the day before what it would be. It truly helped. It has been almost 16 years now. I still think about him and miss him every day, but it doesn't sting like it did before. Big hugs to you and to Pip. I lost my mom 4 years ago and miss her so much too. She was my rock when my hubby passed.

My dear, I wish I was there to hug you and listen to you speak about your beautiful mom! My heart goes out to you and your family! I loved to see your mom in your videos, and I always watched with such envy as I remember times with my own mom. I am turning 60 this year, and I lost my mom when I was 35. So I can relate to you losing your mom at this age. Losing a parent at any age is a deep hurt and yes, some tiny children lose parents, and I cannot even fanthom that type of situation, but the grief is still so hard when we lose a parent . It is true that grief is in waves . There are days even still after my own years that I just cry all day when I miss mom so much. There are days when I wake up, and I just feel her presence here . Like she is sitting right here watching me and keeping me company. I pray that during this time, you feel her presence embracing you and that through the love of Jesus and friends and family, your strength is built up and live with peace. May God wrap his arms around you now and carry you through this difficult season of life . Thank you for all that you do here on yt. You are a blessing and I pray over you and your family . ❤🙏

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother when I was 2 weeks shy of my 36th birthday. I had a really hard time because she lived with us. I understand everything reminds you of her. I read every book I could find on NDE's. I truly believe she's in heaven but at that time I had doubts. I still watch RUclips videos on the subject. Watch for signs. It's truly amazing how they can let us know they're still with us. I'm so happy you took her dog. My cousin is a groomer and you wouldn't believe how many people think nothing of getting pets their mother's loved. I'm 61 now and time really does help. You need to grieve on your own terms as long as you need. Don't listen to anyone that says otherwise.

I totally understand. It will be a year since I lost my mom( September 29, is when she past ) . I’m having a hard time again. And I cry a lot. Just keep praying and trusting in the lord to get you through this difficult time. Keep looking at your memories, that’s what I do. And I think how would my mom want me to react, ( sad all the time doing nothing but grief all the time or get up and do some things that we did together. And laughing , being positive .

I am so sorry for all of your loss. Dogs morn too. Pip may need to assert herself because she is finding her place in the world. Fin is feeling your loss as well and is no doubt trying to be a good boy. So, just continue to let him know he is loved and a good boy and in no way why you are sad. Let Pip know she is welcome. Our fur babies really can help us through our loss as well. You are doing so well with allowing all your feelings to come naturally. Watching you these last few years to grow and become such an amazing adult from the young married person we first saw has been amazing.
More than anything allow yourself time to go through every feeling but understand some feelings may not be worth you holding on to. Ask yourself, "Would my mom want me to feel this pain when thinking of her?" She would be honored you miss her but may not have ever felt that guilt was warranted.
Grief will hit all of us at some point in our lives. While we all go through it, each time it seems unique and personal. Appreciate the love people try to share. One day it could be them you lose. As awful a lesson as grief and loss is, it does remind us how precious life is. Remember to always express thank you and I love you when the opportunity is right. It is okay to feel anger that it isn't fair as well.
I made a memorial journal for my first husband. I wrote the things I loved and put all the things from his funeral in it. I then made copies for his sister and mother. It helped me

Hugs and love to you and your family. It’s been 42 years since my Mama passed. I was only 26. I am 67 and it still touches my heart now. Your grieving is unique to you. Your sisters may handle it differently. Mine did. One day when it’s time you can talk about her without breaking down but there will always be a part of your heart that your Mom takes with her. Don’t let anyone tell you you have grieved enough. Only you will know. Not going back to old life just new way of getting through each day. It will get better some day but it will always tug at your heart. OCD may act up too. It did for me. That takes time too. ❤️🙏❤️😢

She would want you to go on living and doing the things you enjoyed together. Keeping living your life in ways that you know would make her happy and proud. There is no timeline on grief, there is probably no a week or two that goes by even now 44 years later that I don’t shed tears and wish I had her by my side. Even if it it for just a few minutes and then I carry on. ❤️

Awww, you poor Doll. Go slow and give yourself lots of time and grace. This will take a long time-as it should. Grief is the price we pay for love. Nobody can replace your Mom and you will never be the same-this is a life shattering experience, but it will SLOWLY get easier. Lean on Shawn and let him help you through this. Hugs.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Mourning doesn’t have a time frame. Always know she is still with you . She will speak to you in thoughts and she will give you signs she is near . Look for them. God Bless.

My family lost our mom a year and a half ago. It's been hard. My tip is everyone experiences grief differently and to let yourself feel the grief, it's okay to do that.

I’m so sorry for your loss! Losing your mom is so hard. I lost my mom 3 years ago and it has been the hardest thing. She was my friend and we thrifted together all the time. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t think of her and miss her. I know I’ll see her again one day. I pray you have this hope as well.

Been there done that... It's never easy, and more than ten years later something will happen and I'll think, I need to call Mom to tell her this---then I realize I can't! I think going back to school will help... It's distracting to be around the kids and busy every minute. And what a treasure you have on Pip---so glad you can love on something your mom called about so much!!! Hang in there!

I guess the only words of wisdom I can say is,you will see her again! Of this I'm sure of. I lost both my parents over 25 yrs ago,and the pain is still there. But you know,I can finally talk and remember them without crying. It will get better,I promise. You were blessed with a great Mom,so keep her always in your heart. God bless you and your family at this difficult time😢😢

My deepest condolences to you and your family; I too lost my mom unexpectedly- during a “routine” surgery….I was the one at the hospital waiting for her, was there after she passed, I did get to see her right after, held her hand, kissed her forehead…the nurse even took a photo of me with my heavenly mom…it was quite a shock, and I deal with that grief 2 years now….I miss her soooo much; hoping and praying i can see her and hug her in my dreams. Our moms are usually our best friend, and I deeply miss mine. Remember all the good times, look at memories, and dont be afraid to cry / express it all. Good luck to you…it will get easier.

Oh dear...I am so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I just got past the one year anniversary of losing my mom in Jan of last year. The grief does come in waves and the process isn't necessarily fluid. Yes, you are lucky to have had a great relationship with her and you know the love you share will endure and help you through this difficult time. I can't really offer any words of wisdom beyond telling you that your life will be different now. You will never get over her loss but you will come to accept it and learn to live with missing her in your life. I have come to realize that I have had a loss in my life that changed me on a fundamental level. May each passing day bring you more comfort.

Give yourself the space to feel all of your feelings, even if they surprise you. Like anger. Anger at the situation, that you have to live with this grief, that she is gone. Your feelings are normal (however they come) and don’t mean you cherished her any less. And having good days is not a betrayal either. Decades later and some days are still hard. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this.
