I've watched loads of groundhandling videos and must say that yours are just excellent. Your explanations are so clear, understandable and make perfect sence. I have learned so much from watching your channel - Please keep uploading.... the information you impart is invaluable.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. Appreciate it ! Glad you learning something new with my videos , take care and stay safe and healthy in this crazy World situation
Thank you very much 🥂 you are only one who used this special youtube thank you . Appreciate it a lot ! Happy new year 🎉🍾 and wish you lots of flying days. Kind regards Peter Holdy
This is so great! Thank you. How do I let my wing down slowly? It kills me when it smacks on the ground, that can't be good for it. Just finished. Easily the best ground handling video on RUclips.
Hi from France and thanks a lot for this vidéo i'm a biginner and Always upside down 😂 so it will be helpfull I like the way you take time to explain again and again and again so it get cristal clear 👍👍👍 chears mate and keep going whith that kind of videos
Hello , i am glad that you found it bit useful 😉 France have many beautiful flying sites. Step be step you will become amazing pilot ! Take care and have fun 😉
Thanks to you, i've finally understood how to empty the sand from my wing, by putting it upside down !!! Great job you've done here Peter. A BIG thank you.
I first found this one almost a year ago before I had a wing, and have watched ALL your videos. Now that I just have my first wing and playing with GH this is the *perfect* video as I have experienced all these situations (in my first week, ha). I use the C technique to control the wing and it works great. I also found myself falling into the trap you show of pulling the As too hard and collapsing in light wind. These are great tips and I'm using them 2 1/2 years after you made the video! You're a master my friend.
That is awesome that my video helped you to understand how to control wing. It is nice feeling that my video was useful and keep you safe as well. Hope one day we can fly together so you can show me all your tricks 😉 Thank you John 🙏
Very nice! You show us how to handle the glider in difficulut wind conditions on the ground and you show us the mistakes that we should avoid. Very good!
This is perfect for a beginner just getting into ground handling! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! Extremely valuable information.
I never saw someone control a wing on the ground with b-lines. Of COURSE it makes great sense. Thank you for bringing this to light. I can't wait to try it out. Nicely done.
Amazingly useful video... I wish I had seen it before being dragged last week... I've learned so much now. I feel more confident for my next groundhandling. Thanks so much!
😁 important is to learn from mistakes 🙏 even better to learn from someone else mistakes 😉 Thank you for watching, wishing happy flying and quick progress !
Hello Peter, I am a beginning paraglider and your video’s are really helpfull and clear! Thank you for your effort and being out in the cold and wet all day to help us beginners! Much appreciated!

Your down to earth demeanor together with your simple/clear explanations and your interest in teaching others set this video apart from others treating these topics! Congratulations and thank you!
Thank you Peter for getting your wing all wet for your demonstration to us. Your instruction was very helpful and informative. Your are truly advancing the sport. Thank you so much!
Great video Peter. Its just what I needed. No more unhooking wing from kiting harness when it goes upside down. Thank you Thank you and THANKYOU. !!! Ronald A
I started my paragliding school 1 month ago and this video helped me and was realy good to watch :) I cant wait to try these at my next training Alsp you seem like a good person , keep it up 😇
@@PeterHoldy thank you man :D I got really addicted to paragliding , we havr training on weekends and we had our first small flight 3 days ago, i cant wait for the next one and yes maybe we will fly together
Dear peter, I learned so much from your 3 ground handling videos. I am beginner and was out there today learning how to fly the wing. As I had watched your videos so many times I was able to anticipate what the wing will do and take actions before it went wrong. I got dragged by strong gust suddenly and managed to kill the wing by wrapping the breaks as you showed it. I also got my wing to correct itself when it flipped up side down by using the breaks and walking along with it. The wind was bit too strong today and so called it a day. I will choose another day when the wind is not too strong. Thank you so much for your teaching videos. I appreciate warmly. regards, ken
Lovely job mate ;) Start with light winds and when you will progress then try stronger conditions. Glad to hear my GH videos helped you! Stay safe mate do not do any stupid stuff ! Thank you for comment ;)
This is what I've been searching for! I was actually glad the wind was light as there are loads of videos of people showing off their back flying and heli tricks in strong wind, but no simple clear demonstrations with simple instructions and description of what is going on. Until now! :D Absolutely perfect for low airtime CP's like me. If you do another ground handling video I'd love some tips on wing tip touches. Whenever I try it my glider usually just ends up folding into a neat pile as soon as the tip is anywhere near the ground. I just can't keep it flying. Either that or it feels like it's dragging as soon as it's not directly above me
Thank you mate :) Doing my best to help you out guys :) Check out my first GH video. There is tutorial about wing tip touching over ground and Cobra launchces. Hope will help you understand it better. Thank you for watching. Enjoy your time with glider !
Thanks for the video Peter. Hopefully I can quit unhooking every time I flip the wing now. Yours is the first video I've seen explaining these techniques. Thanks again for taking the time to make these. I know it's a lot of work.
I totally get what you are saying but I will have to watch this video a few more times to be in sink with your fast talking. I just learned more in 5 minutes with you than I have from anyone. I think I want to master paragliding before I go to paremotoring just because they rely on the one thing that most paramotor people are afraid of. I don't want to have any fear and know what you know. Thanks so much. Going to see all your vids but I can tell you are excited to share.

Man, you have some of the best PG instruction videos. Thanks for destroying your wing for my happiness ;-). I was talking to you in your other video comments section on my old account ( ryan b ), and your tip about understanding the wing has helped my ground handling so much. Just watching you play with your wing has helped me too. Thanks a lot man - have a good one!
This video was fantastic but is so sad that there was no wind, I would have loved to see this same techniques but with a much stronger wind to see how the wing would have reacted in a more windy day. I hope your wing is full dry doing great :)
Will do in windy condition aswel :) now you know that B teq. is existing. On normals days i always using C as wing stays on the ground with just B lines glider is flying.
Peter, thank you so much for this instructional video! I am brand new to GH and usually the wing ends upside down because I don’t know what I’m doing. This was VERY helpful to me!!! Thank you for taking the time to make this for us! 🙏🏻
I find that your videos are very informative so informative that I actually subscribe today. I have been struggling with ground handling and I learned today that I am not supposed to pull the A's up just guide them up and pull with my hips from your video! Thank you thank you thank you! I am heading out now to try and kite again! Thank you thank you thank you! You just solved my problem, every time I would kite use my A lines, it would go up but it would come down because I was pulling on the A's, I know now that I should not do that just guide them! By the way did I say thank you? Ha haha! Dee Zee
Yes you did say Thank you 🤣 you are welcome , glad to help. Really appreciate that my videos are helpful! Make sure you feel your glider by hips, be smooth and relax ! Then everything will make sence. Thank you for watching, take care, stay safe !
'I hope you appreciate I destroy my wing for your happiness'... gives me a very good laugh, thanks, Peter! LOL Other very usefull advice: don't be embarrassed when people are watching :-) Not only only highly informative tutorials but entertaining as well :-) Wonderful stuff!
Glad those videos helped you 🙏 Thank you for watching Krzysztof. Check my last video and you can get chance to win a brand new Wing from BGD 👌 Take care and stau safe 😉
"don't care about other people, care about yourself"...Exactly, in this case. ;-) I like your "turn over" technique reversing the as and brakes and side walking slowly, beats the heck out of unhooking and re-laying it all out. @16:07, then the laydown....LOL You are a comic with a wing! Can you concertina fold it, too, just with the lines? I've never seen anyone else use the single brake line like that to pull the kite sideways on a drag. Makes good sense since it is ALREADY in your hand. I REALLY like that idea, and will try it.
🤣 you see if i won't care about other people like in this case you won't able to see this video 😁 some people using quick pack bags for wings. So they just stuck wing together by lines to mushroom shape and stuck in. I always do concertina. Just play always with wing before flying and you will master GH ! Take care 👍
@@PeterHoldy Exactly, again. Thx. Not caring what they think when you are playing/practicing...especially a noob that screws everything up! When you get to your level, most of them are probably just watching and learning, unless everyone around you is as proficient as you are.
Great Tutorial! Yeah.. nothing’s more embarrassing than trying to sort out your upside down wing in front of a crowd spectators. Thanks for the great tutorial.

Great video going to get into paraglideing this spring trying to learn as much as I can before the snow melts!
Good attitude mate ! And where are you when you waiting for snow to melts ?
Man, you have some of the best PG instruction videos. Thanks for destroying your wing for my happiness ;-).
I was talking to you in your other video comments section on my old account ( ryan b ), and your tip about understanding the wing has helped my ground handling so much. Just watching you play with your wing has helped me too. Thanks a lot man - have a good one!
Thank you :D glad to hear my rubbish EN language helping you understand your wing :D Thank for comments, stay safe :D
Multirotor Go n
Excellent! Thank you very much!
Peter, thank you so much for this instructional video! I am brand new to GH and usually the wing ends upside down because I don’t know what I’m doing. This was VERY helpful to me!!! Thank you for taking the time to make this for us! 🙏🏻
Peter, I'm so glad to you. Amazing teacher...from Brazil.
Thank you 😉 take care and fly safe !
LOL

Glad those videos helped you 🙏 Thank you for watching Krzysztof. Check my last video and you can get chance to win a brand new Wing from BGD 👌 Take care and stau safe 😉
"don't care about other people, care about yourself"...Exactly, in this case. ;-)
I like your "turn over" technique reversing the as and brakes and side walking slowly, beats the heck out of unhooking and re-laying it all out.
Realy, realy, realy, realy great video! We do not have this content in Brasil.
Thank you for watching 🙏 i believe you are bit wild in Brasil 🤪
