My question is about Time Between Failure, how many prints are usually needed to clean the laser Unit?.
My DCP 1510 has about 4.400 printed pages and for first time I replaced Drum Unit and with a new toner cartrige is working as new.
Brother estimates about 10.000 copies for a Drum replacement or OPC Drum cleaning or change.
I notice the same faulty light printed areas on left side, as a dirty laser unit, but with a new DR and TN unit is working as new.

You need to clean the laser unit only if replacing the toner and drum units don't fix the pale printing. I can not say how often to clean the laser unit, it depends on the printer environment - is it dirty environment, is it hot or too cold, etc. If replacing the toner and drum fix the printout there is no need of cleaning the laser. Hi can you share how to clean the printer, the fuser roller,
to remove dirty straight vertical line on the printing
i just opened this, and i must say, some screws don't need to be un screwed, i think it can be done a bit quicker, now as i hv experienced, but as i put things back together one white peace felt off, plastic peace, and now i get error "Printer Cover not Closed " or smth, how to fix? (searching and asking ai in progress)
Do you have a go-to tool kit that covers you for every situation or do you have to pick across kits or build your own set?
I use a Tool Set from iFixit - Mako Precision Bit Set, along with 2-3 bigger screwdrivers ;) I have another channel - @MrTechGuyDIY, where you can see the tool set in the videos.

This error is caused by hardware malfunction. Here is the solution from Brother:
1. Power the machine off by holding down the power button. Wait a few seconds and then power the machine back on.
- If no error message appears on your machine's display, go to step 2.
- If the error changed to "Self-Diagnostic", refer to: "Self-Diagnostic"
- If "Print Unable 04" returns, go to WARRANTY AND SERVICE OPTIONS.
2. Leave the machine with power ON for 15 minutes.
- If "Self-Diagnostic" or "Print Unable 04" returns, go to WARRANTY AND SERVICE OPTIONS.
