- Welcome to another episode of Trailmakers! Today we build the highly requested ALL-PURPOSE VEHICLE! We did this once before the submarine update, but now, we have new abilities! Not only will this car be all-purpose, but it will also transform! It's a Car, a Wall Climber, a Hovercraft, a Plane, and a Submarine all in 1 vehicle!

Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

I can't say that I have a favorite stage, really, but the way you had made it transform was very aesthetically pleasing to me. Usually I have an idea on how to improve vehicles, but in this case I think you nailed it, ScrapMan, fantastic creation!

Move the front wheels forward a bit for a better initial grip on walls and maybe some balancing for flight other than that yea it's great
Not going to lie, at first I thought the car to hover was the best in terms of aesthetics, but what you showed the plane form with the control fins looking like a jet's, I was really pleased. You did a great job.
And if you did the music, that transition from the kinda casual beat for on land to majestic in the air to the nice relaxing underwater was well done.
If that thing transforms into a Decepticon, I swear it'd look like a weird shockwave

This is definitely my favourite creation in Trailmakers. I reckon you should do another episode or half-episode tweaking it further, fixing the flight, submarine and underwater rover modes (adding floatation devices would help a lot, and also enable a pseudo-boat mode)

Imagine you saw an injured dolphin swimming very weirdly and suddenly it surfaces for air and starts floating on the water, then flies to the Himalayas where it defies gravity and climbs the mountains, then it turns into a car and says “Dolphins, robots in disguise” as if he’s a transformer which you are now convinced he is.

I just got into Trailmakers a few days ago and i wanted to explore vehicle building and such, all by myself before i watched any real guides or similar, and so far i'm doing pretty good, got basic vehicles for different obstacles, and now i see this?! damn that's a complex and very awesome 5-in-1 vehicle. i literally dropped my jaw when i saw the transformation from drive-to-flight mode, that was my favorite part. I think i will subscribe :D

This reminds me so much of an old german tv show for kids. The TV show was actually using puppets for everything. Name is "Robbi, Tobbi und das FlieWaTüüt" XD. It was about an alien robot who needed the help of a human kid to a) build a vehicle which can go on land, through the water and in the air, and b) solve 3 puzzles, which would require use of that vehicle to accomplish. Really cool to watch~

So it’s a lot cooler than just normal driving
To be honest i like a feature about this vehicle that wasnt given much attention in the video, which is the ability to get heavy and light grip. Its very satisfying just being able to have tight grip and then low amount of grip which gives the ability to go up hills and go on faster speeds.

So hey So u should put the button where when ur on wheels and when u prees ur button to go on hover u should put the same button on switching to hover pats and it turns on ur go in car mode and it automatically turns off! (Olny for hover and car not those.)

Great job bro. I would love to see you build the aerial dragon! It’s a project drone by Tesla I believe. Uses thrust vectoring to be able to create some pretty cool shapes in air. And even able to carry objects, and turn valves. It’s pretty nifty.

It would be fun to see a triathlon checkpoint to checkpoint race that requires all these vehicle modes. The challenge would invoke a lot of great creative design, engineering and driving talent from the community.
I guess it would need you to be able to edit the gameworld for that and have low ceilings to prevent people just flying everywhere. And whether to make it a time trial or all on the course at once with room for a bit of combative barging and shoving would make a big difference.
the car into hover mode is cool, though I think if you put the underwater propellers on the sides of the hover pads you'd get better results for the sub mode

You should make a hovercraft racing vehicle. Not a pod racer, but a racing hovercraft.
Ok, that is cool! But how about a multiplayer fusion multi-terrain game version of this. The idea is to generate vehicles like this, capable of a variety air, sea, land, ..? Each round cars are traded to a new builder, a new terrain mode needs to be added, then cars are raced.

I loved the transforming parts
These complex designs and mechanisms created just for fun could be useful for advancement of different projects one day.
To make it able to be "drivable" on the wall, all you'd really need is a thruster like you have on your first one that you show in this video to make that one able to "fly"
I did not know that gasses fell into the category of fluids. That's pretty neat.
