Sorry for the bad camera work it is kinda hard to record a video like this with one person and no tripod but it's fine

Compressed air, alcohol q-tips, etc. weren’t working for analog stick drift so I wanted to troubleshoot to figure out what part I actually needed to buy. I used this tutorial to switch the left/right sensor on the left analog stick (the one that was giving me problems) and the left/right sensor on the right analog stick. I thought if the right analog stick pulled to the left that meant I could order the little sensor bit and replace it. But just switching them fixed it! Thanks so so much!

On my ps4, my left joystick keeps registering that it is going up, but on the controllers, the joystick is not moving. The cursor keeps going up automatically. Can u pls show how to fix it?

Make sure both of the discs inside are facing up (the metal springy part and that should fix it) however I’m having the problem with my right stick now so I think the right stick is opposite to the left
I would literally rather buy a new controller then do this. I used compressed Air in a can to blow around each stick. I then got a q tip with some alcohol on and rubbed around each stick to clean them. So far it's worked a treat and the stick doesn't drift.

Right stick drift was driving me crazy, so I ripped the thing open, encountered an oopsie, but still fixed it, and my drift is now a thing of the past

I can’t figure out what it is I seen another video that told me that if the color isn’t golden on the little circle piece n it’s all types of colors then it’s going bad and you have to get new ones anyone have any suggestion

Question, what is the difference between green joysticks vs the orange ones. Are the orange ones newer with better tension? Or just color
The green ones are from the first generation of controllers and the orange ones are for newer gen models, you can get green ones in newer ones but the tension is a spring mechanism (to my knowledge) so I don't think there is any tension difference the orange ones are just newer

So the ps4 sensors are called ps4 sensor wheels or wheel sensors

Which anolog color is better the orange or green
I think orange is newer and it holds a different sensor but it performs about the same as the green
@@TastyyBreaD oh so it last longer than the green because I ordered the orange I hope it works for the jdm 055 n I saw reviews n they said its stronger than the green but never got to the point of its the same just newer n I got it on Amazon n I went with the reviews instead of the price but I'm guessing its going to last a bit longer im tired of playing shooting games that wear out the anolog stick quicker like call of duty n buying a controller i always wanted to fix a playstation controller

im not too sure about that but i dont think it would work because im pretty sure they are different parts, you could give it a try though
@@TastyyBreaD so I just tried and basically a ps3 control wheel was totally different and a ps2 had the same components but was to small to fit...🤷🏾♂️
@@kenifairwell ok, you will either have to salvage a broken ps4 controller and take its components or buy the components online

Would it work perfectly if I only replace the white sensor without soldering the green or the orange plastic part holding the white sensor? I'd just clean inside and replace it with a new sensor. Would it really work??? Has anyone ever given it a try?
If the green or orange part is off of the board you would have to solder it back on otherwise you can just switch the sensor wheel
@@TastyyBreaD the green part is just fine and hasn't come off yet. Problem with the controller is drifting. It happens only on games with sensitive dead zones like Hitman otherwise it's just working fine.

by mistake I taked off that orange bit away from the motherboard and I broken so tiny part on the small round thing which we insert in that orange thing.
You can buy replacement sticks but you have to solder them on carefully or take it to a repair shop they might be able to help

hi I just had my controller flicking everywhere not simple drift is this a motion sensor problem or is replacing the analog sticks enough and I also sent it to someone to clean it or should I replace the entire motion sensor
If the people you sent it to know how to replace the entire stick I think that would be the best fix, but if they don't new sensors may work

@@TastyyBreaD one last question Im sorry for asking too much questions but is it possible to swap sticks like I have a old controller that has its left stick alright an doesn't have drift issues would it be possible to place the left stick on the right one? And ps tlast time I sent it to someone to clean it thinking it would fix it I have a new problem where whenever I plug my headset my controller sways and drifts and I can't look straight bcuz of how much it's flicking

Is everything still attached to the board, did you put the wheel upside down or back to front. If these are the problem then they can be fixed but if the traces on the board are ruined then you may need to get a new board for it

orange is meant to have a longer life than the greens

just use a little bit more force and they should go back in

@@che5263 check to make sure the clips on it are lined up with the holes
@@che5263 had the same problem then I just teared it out cuz the problem is it wasn't straight on both sides and I couldn't fix it. Then I have authorised it like this. The result is my stick drifts even more and I can't even move against the drift so don't try this...

Don’t know why but when I put everything together, my controller connects to the ps4 but the light that emits isn’t turning on. Any help on that?
You probably damaged the ribbon cable connected to your light bar

Have you opened the controller up? If you have is the stick moved out of place or is a sensor turned the wrong way locking the stick up

dude you straight fucked that controller inproper tools broke the wires for the rumblers nice
Tools don't really matter if it gets the job done, and I don't use the rumblers anyway, controller worked fine after aswell
I did it and now the stick drifts worse😭😭😭
