**UPDATE** For all who are asking, my hair bounced back just fine. No issues. You can check out my hair and so forth in newer videos, or my Instagram :) I saw a couple questionable ppl who said this was clickbait.....that gave me a chuckle. I agree with your sentiments but also think it's usually the length issue because people get frustrated when their hair always looks so short and certain styles never look the same due to its length. I love my curl pattern but always hated how it'd never fall & flow like people with looser, longer curls. It takes a lot of patience to find ownership in every part of being natural and every stage of the process of growing your hair if that's your goal.
Likewise. My curly pattern is different everywhere. So the front and crown is stretched and I can do a ton of style but the back and sides shrinks right up? I hate the shape of my hair becuase of it. And my hair is thick. My hair strands are like wires if I straighten my hair it will revert immediately if I blow dry it will revert. Braid outs and twist outs are pointless not gonna lie. This product probably won't work for me anyway

This video alone, whether her hair snaps back or not, makes me sad. I've watched the natural hair movement evolve since like 2010, and in some ways it's been great, but the way people have been transfixed on finding the perfect (i.e. loosest) curl SUCKS. Companies found a way to continue to exploit black women's fear of "nappy" or "bad" hair and clearly we're buying into it. The natural hair movement was supposed to be about embracing what the good Lord gave you. Just my 2 cents 🤷🏽♀️
I totally agree, which is why I said, “I dont condone loosening your texture”...but it’s mainly to help with manageability but of course, brands will use words to attract customers such as Curl stretcher.
I hear you and respect your thoughts. Partially agree. But I would like to wear my hair and it be longer. I don't mind a fro... however my hair has the most shrinkage ever.... and when straight it's mid back. I wish there was an in between Some times.

I actually like the idea because when my hair is stretched my products are easily penetrated which allows me to treat my hair more healthily. It's shiny and more manageable. My hair actually feels better. This makes me want to continue being natural when I can manage it and this may help with that

Kansas Dean I have high porosity hair and it looses moisture quickly. Their products work great on my hair. I have 4 a type, some 3c. I’ll try it.

Hey just a tip for your nude lipstick question. Line your lips with a brown lip liner under your nude lipsticks. Girl it does wonders for us tanner girls and keeps the nude from looking “ashy” like you said. Hope this helps ❤️ p.s. your hair is everything 🙌🏽

Y’all I tried this yesterday and no lie my scalp was tingling like a “relaxer” mind u I’ve never been relaxed in my life but it felt like bleach. I don’t trust it at all! Smells great. I have 3c curls and it didn’t do much, looks like I just have eco gel on my hair without the gel.

ICYUNVME1908 Cantu used to do the same thing with my hair. I realized that I can only use Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in with it, and no added oil and my hair must be squeaky clean. Otherwise, it’s a hot balled up hot mess.

I started out using Cantu at the beginning of my journey, but my husband wanted to be dramatic and swear that it was messing with his allergies and had his skin burning and itching.🤔😏 Although my hair loved the products I stopped using them. The coconut curling cream is Cantu’s best product in my opinion. I have hair just like you and I use the coconut cream and water on my hair when I wanna wear it out. I recommend it

OK, I tried it and for a minute I thought Cantu put some relaxer and conditioner together. *narrows eyes* I noticed the difference and my hair was dehydrated too. Issa nah for me. Now, I will say that I have always LOVED the coconut curl creme but it alone can elongate my curl when used with Eco-Argan gel.
Whew girl the product junkie in me is like “COOL💆🏾” but the scientist in me knows that that type of reaction has to be a result of a lesser known chemical that can more than likely cause irreversible damage with frequent/continued use. I’ll probably research the ingredients in the morning but I know I’d probably never use this. I’m actually mystified by my shrinkage in a good way and I think I wanna keep it that way. Thanks for being willing to go out on a limb for us girlie 💕💕

It definitely worked for your hair. I needs some. I would definitely use it during the summer months when the sun and humidity make my hair shrink the most.
I've been watching your channel for a minute and definitely seen the strecth in your curls. So I had to check out the ingredients before buying this cause I used to be an avid cantu user until they switched up the ingredients for the leave in repair conditioner. Everything from them after that is just drying to my hair. But back to the ingredients, the sodium sulfite in it might the thing that is strecthing your hair it's used as a hair waving/straightening agent. So I don't know the long term effects it may have on the hair.

I bought this months ago and didn't notice much on my 4a hair so I chopped it up as another marketing gimmick. My son had the "Derrick Rose" look and really liked it for his 4c hair for manageability.

I recently bought this and I was skeptical because it was a rise and I thought it couldn’t possibly work but the lady convinced me to get it but I guess I will be trying it I’m a 4c with a lot a lot shrinkage so i hope this works

@Ricki B. just because it's not a perm means nothing, some chemicals in products can change your hair. For example a keratin treatment changes the hair texture and that can last up to 6 months.
Cantu products has been my staple products. Defines and moisturize my coils that I do not have to apply any gel like product.
I saw the difference when you first took the towel off….I do wonder what ingredient they use to cause the stretch. 🤔

All shampoos are made with sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. I'm a chemist, its how we make soaps or detergents using natural or synthetic oils. By the end of the saponification process the sodium hydroxide is neutralised to a more acceptable pH for hair.

Only Cantu product I really like that doesn't leave my hair dry and crispy is the deep treatment masque. That masque leaves my hair super soft, silky, and strong.
My hair is the same and I HATTEEE it ! One side shrinks soo much and curls are popping but the other side curl pattern is IDEK looks like heat damage but it’s not curls so loose but it’s stretched . When my hair dries it looks like I have a bob cut 🤦🏽♀️ my hair grows in like this even after a big chop

I definitely need to try this, because I see all of these girls wearing low ponytails and having an actual ponytail but my shrinkage does the most and I just end up with a rabbits tail, so definitely have to try this.
It works magic for my hair. It could be because your curls are already very loose. I think the product might be for people with even tighter curls. Cause I’m a 4c and shrinkage attacks like a shark.
