Co-washing is a very good tip for those who wash their hair frequently!! But Conditioners DO NOT clean the hair. So if you only shampoo once a month, you should definitely be using an actual Cowash versus a Conditioner… especially if you use creams & gels to style your hair! Those products need to be removed from the hair before you style again using them.. but if you use sprays & mousses then co-washing with conditioner won’t be too bad.. 🖤🖤
I have been watching you two for a long time! I love and admire both of you. I have been natural for about 8 years now. I had relaxers for over 30 years! I transitioned for a year. I am 67 years old and my hair is about tailbone length now. I have had my hair flatironed only 3 times in all of these years. I have also never colored or dyed my hair; I have very little gray. Keep up the good work! I just love both of you so much!
I already know these tips, but it's nice to have them backed up by ladies that are OG's to naturally curly hair. The game changer for me is to style my hair while it's dripping wet. In the shower is great but so is a spray bottle with a towel on the floor and a cape around your neck. Thank you ladies for tips that really work. 🌹
Not even finished watching but I already know I need to watch a second time just to take notes. A couple of things are new to me and I have to research and try. So informative ladies.
You guys will forever be RUclips GOATS to me. Thank you so much for staying genuine and authentic to yourselves!! And if there is one tip I encourage anybody reading this is if you live in an area where there is hard water then use cold distilled water in your spray bottle while doing you wash and go after rinsing out your masque/deep conditioner/conditioner. I’ve been doing this for about two months now and my hair so is SOOOO much more softer and and manageable. Also I’ve been experiencing way less breakage on my ends
Thanks so much for the wash n go video refresher. I recently started consistently deep conditioning, and I have seen a difference. Thanks for sharing! 😍
Thank for the hand test tip, I am a new natural and have not been able to get a “wash n go” correct but now I know my issue! I have mixed textures 3b/3c hair …I’m still learning how to blend my curls.
Love the video, I’ve been natural about 7 years now and it’s pretty long and I still have those weeks were my wash and go doesn’t turn out the way I planned. The struggle is real. You can use the same products and one weeks your hair looks fire, use them again the next week and it don’t look good!
I know that your video is 7mths old but I truly appreciate coming across it! You guys don’t understand…I was beginning to get frustrated with my curls! I am absolutely in love with Kinky Curly Knot Today! I have been using it for a couple of years now. The tip about leaving my hair soaked with cold water was the tip that I needed! I have tried it for a week now and the results have been consistent and my curls are happy!! I work from home and now I’m excited to be on camera and let my curls hang! If I could hug you guys I would!!! I am officially a fan and subscriber! Thank you both so so much!
I’m definitely going to be trying this my hair is at the top of the middle of my back your videos are so helpful and give me the confidence to go natural for a year and see my results I can’t wait for tailbone length!!!
Thank you for these great tips. I never thought about products not being appropriate for my hair density, this is very helpful. I also will try more co-washing when styling my hair in a wash and go. I deep condition weekly and always do the hand test when I want to cocktail products. Thanks also for your product recommendations. Glad to see I already have a few in my stash. 😄
It was trial and error maybe about 3 times and then it was smooth sailing from there I believe getting the products that work is really the hardest part I’m not a master yet but I love my curls so much now
Great tips!! I wish I would have learned this years ago. I finally got my wash and go down to a science after years of practicing and switching products. Now that I found the products and techniques I’m not changing for anything, or switching up
Amazing video ladies! I like to brush style so that my products distribute evenly. My hair loves leave-ins, creams, and gels. My hair doesn't love mousses that much anymore. I deep condition every week.
My hair is about the same length as ya'lls and I found once it started getting longer the Denman brush wasn't working to detangle and style so I switch to a tangle teezer and I love it! It gently gets out all of the tangles, I use it with the African Pride pre-shampoo and detangling on wash days are sooooo much easier.
I just subscribed to your channel. First can I say how Beautiful y’all are and your hair as well. 🔥 Thank you for this amazing video. This really helped me with my wash n go. 💙
Yes I def need this‼️ cus my wash and gos don’t come out good since I moved back to Colorado cus it’s so dry here. My wash and gos in Oklahoma were lit 🔥
Hi guys, love when y’all say that. Kelsey your curls are poppin and shiny! 🥰❤️🔥 I consider myself a wash n go pro now. I’m consistent with my deep conditioning because my hair really needs it. Great tips, water is key for more defined curls with the products. Looking beautiful ladies, tfs! 💕
My hair is short but I learned that gel doesn’t work well in my hair. So instead I use Mousse (OGX or Herbal Essence) and sometimes an air dry cream I really get amazing results! I wash my hair now every two days because my hair doesn’t look great going a full week. Because of the castor oil in OGX my hair doesn’t break as much anymore.
I use all of these techniques. I suffer from major shrinkage as well. Can you guys do a video on how to maintain your curls? Sometimes I pineapple or just placed a bonnet but with both methods I feel like I get a lot of frizze. Thanks for sharing😇
I still enjoy hearing the “Hi Guys” in sync from you both!
Me too!
Yep!
Me too ❤️❤️❤️
Me too! I miss them saying “it’s Kelsey… and Kendra!!

Love this! Just did a big chop, and staring to wear my Hair in its natural state more! Any recommendations on routine .
When I first started doing my hair myself, I would blow out my hair and do a twist on (with light product) or a flexi rod set after blowing it out.
Thank you so much
Great job, I thought the hand test was genius!
Twins are so fun 😍
Hey when should you do the plopping method
