This therapist is not typical whatsoever and thank god for that..... She gives you so many things to think about that you would actually need and not just platitudes or soundbites that sound good but achieve nothing

I'd like to hear this fully...but 14 mins in I know this isn't the therapist I would want to go to therapy with(sorry I don't mean to judge but just stating my preference)..and that's not hating...just that my experiences with great therapists has been different, and this isn't the therapist for me..
I also have more to share, will do so later. But I do feel your experience Tyler with the last therapist hitting on you was unethical. Unless she was trying to talk about boundaries and you misunderstood what she was trying to say. So if it was a misunderstanding or miscommunication then that's understandable, but if a pass was being made at you then that's unethical. The other way of looking at it, is that person was honestly telling you what their expectations were and giving you an option. But either ways, it sounds traumatic because I believe one goes into therapy seeking a safe space and that is the last place you expect to get hit on. You want to be able to trust your therapist 100% plus when a person goes to therapy they are very vulnerable and you want to be sure that the therapist will not take advantage of or violate that trust...so it really is a relationship of trust and so important to find the right person for you. Good news is: It's possible to find the right therapist and a good therapist for you. 🥰
My suggestion would be : When it feels right, you can see a therapist and you could perhaps even start by talking about the bad experience with therapy, and take it from there.
Sometimes it takes a while to find the right therapist for you, you need to trust your gut and meet some therapists ...maybe do one session with a few therapists, and see if anyone feels right for you and then go to that person for more sessions( and you can explore different kinds of therapy too - perhaps somatic therapy or dance movement therapy(DMT) since you dance, or art therapy or expressive art therapy, if you don't just want to go to a talk therapist)...or you can read about different therapists or their views online or watch videos etc and see if that sounds like someone you want to speak with further and take it from there.
    Good luck.
There is nothing wrong with you, I just would like to say that.
Therapy is not to ''fix" you,
in my experience the best therapist empowers you and supports you in finding within yourself the strength to navigate through life and support your own self, and in the process helps you get to know yourself better and discover your boundaries etc. I think often a good therapist also just in their body language can model to you a regulated nervous system, and often a person meeting a therapist picks up a lot from their presence....as they say 80% of all communication is non verbal ...so ya, a great therapist just in their presence often can communicate to you what it's like/ support you to embody that state of beingness and calm, and regulating your nervous system. And since you seem to be someone self reflective and keen to learn and you ask yourself questions and observe, am sure you will also learn a lot about how you are in a therapy session from these experiences...because I think you would self reflect through the process...and that also is huge learning..
I think the process of going to therapy is worth it and going to a good therapist is really really supportive...it's something that helps you have skills in your tool kit to navigate life. And often when you work with a good therapist, you come to a place, where you will not seek a lot of external validation, you will know who you are deeply and trust that..and that's a great outcome...plus you can work through any past traumas that may be affecting your present etc too with a right therapist. 🥰
And you may ofcourse come across therapists you don't connect with or sometimes you know are just 'off'( in the sense they lack empathy or are judgemental etc ) and that's not a great experience but you learn something there too, so trust that ie trust if/ when you feel something is off....you will know.... and that also can be learning.
    Good luck! Wish you well.
    More later.. ✨
    🥰✨
Ps: 30 is a great age to go to therapy because as I said with the right therapist, it can really empower you....
and ofcourse we can all continue to learn and work on ourselves ...even after an experience of therapy or sessions with a good therapist.....i mean the work of self enquiry or personal growth can be a lifelong process of learning too, if you are up for that kind of exploration ..🥰....
so ya I would say give it a go, when you ready and with who feels right for you . 🥰✨ Bless you. ✨
