- Today we are in Botanic Gardens in Belfast, Northern Ireland where we are painting the Palm House. The Gardens have been enjoyed by the public in our wee country since 1895.
This is plein air painting, you’ll hear the birds, the traffic, the public, the lawns being mowed… all part of the joy of taking the joy of painting outside.
I’ve discovered that painting outside always brings this ‘different’ and unique quality to whatever way you paint!

Lovely relaxing and informative video, thank you ☺️ I’ve literally only just started painting from scratch (never thought I could in the past but decided my 50th year is the one to start!), and have been really inspired by your RUclips’s, especially the gorgeous cottages and countryside you paint.
