This song IMO is up there as one of the greatest songs ever recorded. It has everything. A brilliant opening, dark and moving lyrics, a catchy bridge, disorganised sounds. It's perfect.
Son: Hey daddy, why my sister is call Rose? Me: Because your mother loves roses. Son: Oh, right. Thanks. Me: You're welcome Joy Division - No Love Lost.
I have yet to hear another band or singer/songwriter describe SO MANY historical and literaryvincidents of human suffering and oppression so beautifully....ahead of their time while being immersed in the past...
This was the first song I've listened to from Joy Division, I was 17 maybe, I wanted to break everything around me, instead I only jumped everywhere like a dumb when the lyrics started. It was like a nuclear weapon in my brain. Wow.
Ka Metro Gnome there is this tabletop game called warhammer where you can paint your models and stuff and I used the white paint from that and that stuff won't rub/wash off so I recommend you use that. I also recommend that you first draw the letters and then paint it.
So long sitting here, Didn't hear the warning. Waiting for the tape to run. We've been moving around in different situations, Knowing that the time would come. Just to see you torn apart, Witness to your empty heart. I need it. I need it. I need it. Through the wire screen, the eyes of those standing outside looked in at her as into the cage of some rare creature in a zoo. In the hand of one of the assistants she saw the same instrument which they had that morning inserted deep into her body. She shuddered instinctively. No life at all in the house of dolls. No love lost. No love lost. You've been seeing things, In darkness, not in learning, Hoping that the truth will pass. No life underground, wasting never changing, Wishing that this day won't last. To never see you show your age, To watch until the beauty fades. I need it. I need it. I need it. Two-way mirror in the hall, They like to watch everything you do, Transmitters hidden in the walls, So they know everything you say is true, Turn it on, Don't turn it on, Turn it on.
Arctic those lyrics are from the Warsaw version of this song (the is the version from their ep "an ideal for living")the last few lyrics of the song are different in this version.
Joy divison o rock levado a sério mistura de todos os sentimentos depressão tristeza etc.... Pena que no Brasil escutamos agora sertanejo funk forro minha terra infelizmente ficou alienada.
I had several joy division vinyl records in green plastic milk crates and a couple posters of ian Curtis on my studio apartment wall in the 80s I loved the band and I was astounded when they picked up the pieces and moved on to form new order we were all dancing to their work when it was released

Beastly. My girlfriend was taking contraceptives. She was invited to a screening at her local doctors. Afterwards she described the procedure used by the doctor and the probe he used to take a swab. It sounded like abuse. I think she was suggesting she had been abused. I was sympathetic but did nothing. That was 1982. I hope things have changed.

Work hard. Afford 450 HP. Manual. Crisp Sunday Morning. Put this on LOUD. Nail it. Country Road. All good. Been working for me now 30 years. Outstanding. Who needs a shrink when you can listen to this at the redline instead?
The problem for me here is that i play almost every JD song, so i can't ignore that Bernard is in fact playing She's lost control. But great idea to do this montage. Ideal to share with someone who discovers Joy Division- especially the early years
He'd make a good actor for playing Pete Doherty too. Just a film about a guy taking heroin and going out on the rob when he has no heroin, set to the backdrop of occasionally doing a gig.
this movie is amazing and show the story of Ian with great respect and honor for the great idol and angst young that he was , you dont like Joy division, you must be just a hipster.
@6tramp6 me i discovered this awsome band on Donny Darko movie, they use the song "Love will tear us appart" on the house party scene.... i love their sound and vocal... when i listen to their songs, i wish i was born on their decades

He is such a beautiful artist still to this day.
Fuck yea
why?
“still to this day”?, he’s been dead for 44 years 😂
@@FART-REPELLENT Exactly did something happen in the last 44 years to change that fact? lol
@@Garrett1240 His death changed that fact; a dead person is no longer an artist, Ian Curtis WAS an artist but no longer as he is dead.
Sam Riley was awesome in Control. Long Live Joy Division.
I adore them and I am 65 years old.
Son: Hey daddy, why my sister is call Rose?
Me: Because your mother loves roses.
Son: Oh, right. Thanks.
Me: You're welcome Joy Division - No Love Lost.

+Sarah Mikula haha, thank you !
Sam Riley, the actor who played Ian Curtis in "Control" was amazing in that movie.
I recently happened to find out that he's married in real life to the actor that played Annik, and that they met via 'Control'.
One of my most favorite songs by them.
in memory of Ian Curtis
Jesus, these moves he made, *Ian's* so fucking GREAT!
These scenes are from a movie
Cecilia Malakian It's close to real. *Sam Riley* is a great actor and he was so close to impersonate *Ian*.
u s love modeling everyones doing it
I dont watch this movie, is good ?
Always dancing like that 😁
This video suits the song so well. Especially at around 1:56 where it shows the back of Ian's jacket and the intro ends. He was so iconic. R.I.P.
Anton Corbijn brought Ian Curtis into a new generation.

Uma montagem de ficar de boca aberta e com arrepios na pele. Absolutamente fantástica! Do melhor que há vi!
De fato.
No love lost, Dead souls, Shadowplay, Twenty four hours, Decades.
A lot of Keith Moon in that Morris drummer boy. And I absolutely love it. Brilliant.
This song has one of the best drops in song history. Joy Division/Warsaw the greatest ever.
Best Song from JD! And the Film 10 from 10! Greetings from East Germany! TORSTEN ❤

Control what a film, joy division what a band, no love lost what a tune
Que alucinante es escuchar este tema, todo lo que le debemos a estas bandas hasta llegar al día de hoy.
Captures the raw essence of punk perfectly
Joy divison o rock levado a sério mistura de todos os sentimentos depressão tristeza etc.... Pena que no Brasil escutamos agora sertanejo funk forro minha terra infelizmente ficou alienada.

This is the high water mark of british cultural achievement.
Killer medley to be done with this and Tommy James and the Shondells' "My Baby Does the Hanky Panky."
Bom clipe! Muito boa montagem! Está de parabéns!
Simple and beautiful, love it.
