First JD track I played on WRUW. Dropped a phonograph needle on the 12" of An Ideal For Living & I KNEW. God put me on the air to play Joy Division (MM, 9/1978).

Joy Division in '81.

@@markthompson1819 Warsaw/Joy Division were also heavily inspired by the historical and influential German experimental group, Kraftwerk. According to Peter Hook, they spent their years trying to copy Kraftwerk’s sound.
Neu was a branch off of Kraftwerk in 1971. Michael Rother sat in for Ralf Hütter while he went to University for a few months. Then Rother and Klaus Dinger formed Neu.

@@tonymontana4455 hi Tony yes he was sadly passed away last year he was the youngest of four boys we also had a sister he filmed this before they were known he was friends with Rob who asked him to he went on to film lots of local groups and when video came out started IKON video he also filmed all the acts at the hacienda it used to take him hours editing the video splicing the tapes by hand
