I loved watching this era of F1. I found it so much more satisfying than what we have these days.
I remember seeing those cars in Imola 1994. They weren't as loud as the Williams, but the melody was and still is the best engine noise ever created. I remember I could clearly feel the thump in the chest (from the ground stands) on the downshifts. You can get a glimpse at 02:20

Whenever I think of an F1 car in terms of style, I think of two sets of cars. The late 80s McLaren cars (MP4/4 and MP4/5) and the Ferrari cars from 1991 to 1994
In 1991 I took my girlfriend with me to see a grand prix and she didn't want to believe the engines were making that noise. lol. So I asked her to explain to me where that sound came from lol
I can’t imagine 22 cars sharing these noises during GP race... It must be like in heaven
at the time most teams used v10s or v8s, just ferraris and a couple others used v12s, so a variety of sounds on the grid

@@nessuno5403 no thanks 😃 I've heard couple of the F1 V10 fly by right next to me at the RedBull Ring. I had no ear protection, I just blinked when the noise hit me.

+Chris Simpson even the V8's were so good. It's just a shame that in a motorsport they have to downsize too. Makes no sense, it's more enviromental friendly they say. It's such a small factor to the environment, i does not make sense at all.

Non era il motore più potente, infatti lo era il Renault, ma caspita....il suono del V12 è pura musica
Non è vero. Il V12 Ferrari nel '95 era il più potente. Prima Fila a SPA e vittoria sfumata per inaffidabilità a Monza. Anche Schumacher lo disse appena lo provò, quando approdò in Ferrari. Il Renault era potente è vero ma vinceva grazie al telaio Benetton progettato da Rory Byrne e al telaio Williams progettato da Adrian Newey. Oltre ovviamente al talento indiscusso di Michael Schumacher. Comunque negli anni '94 e '95 i V12 Ferrari erano i più potenti. Uniche vittorie e pole position solo in piste veloci come SPA, Monza e il vecchio Hockenheim.
