Not the Krays... Pete used to hang around with some of the Richardson family's sons and nephews. The Richardsons were the biggest crime family in East London after the Krays went to prison in the 1960s :) Bas' family used to run underground bare knuckle boxing matches. Pete went on to do several jobs including running a leisure centre, Bas became a music teacher who can play several instruments including the piano and sax. The major reason why Bas still has great lung capacity for a guy his age, especially one who smokes, because he plays a couple of brass instruments, including the sax :)
