In this video I head to a big industrial estate where I had one of my first ever jobs working as a picker and packer. I've had my eye on the Howdens car park for some time so decided to stealth camp there whilst also trying the clay plant pot heating method.

You can get a ~50,000 mi Citroen Relay van with an extra-long wheelbase (4.07m) for around 10 grand on Auto Trader. You can fit a generous kitchen (with space for fridge cooker and sink), toilet room, sitting/dining area, desk and a double bed in the back. Storage wise you can fit cupboards, shelves plus a huge storage area under the bed. Power it with solar panels, plumb some refillable gas and water and you're good to go. Say it costs 5 grand to fit the van, you could get a full-time home for 15 grand. I'm looking at getting one for myself.

I can really appreciate your interest in getting out on small adventures, it's all about your perception, if it feels like an adventure it is. Even if like me you take your kids to a stealth camp spot 5 minutes drive from your house! On the subject of vans make sure you get a high roof, you don't wanna be crawling around on your knees! And don't get sucked in by the popularity of vw vans, it's a fad so everything is far more expensive! There are plenty of cheaper good options out there. If you end up with a transit custom high roof I'd be happy to show you the setup on mine 👍

old army landrover ambulances make awesome campers, i slept in a pub carpark once and got a knock on the door at closing time!
Be careful with the pot heater, they have a habit of exploding. You would be better off with a UCO lantern. Take care.
Hi Will, I have an idea... next time you do a stealth camp ... live stream on RUclips q&a sessions... for like an hour. It would be something for you to do while camping and it would be cool to see you do what you do live... just an idea :)

Will.....recommend getting a van....do a build/conversion for your channel content...gives you more options especially if you planning to travel the UK & eventually Europe. Don’t lose the galaxy for overnight stuff just add the van for different options. Good luck. Stay strong 💪
I had my first stealth camping experience a few weeks ago, cruising Flanders! COLD 🥶 and rainy. But it didn’t demotivated me to use my microcamper in future, just waiting for better weather and freedom of leaving the country! Again thanks for your inspiring videos!
Will you could of wrapped that cardboard in foil to prevent it catching a light and it would of helped you with the heat. Definitely would want to see a van build series but also you still travelling overnight in your car around the build.
I have a tiny pasta hack if you want it! You can boil the water, pop it in a thermos along with the uncooked pasta, pop the lid on then leave it for the time required (7-10 mins of whatever the packet says). That way you have the hob free to cook whatever else you want 😊 Thanks for the videos, they are fun to watch!
You should look at getting a generic white "worker" type van, just think how that would blend into urban areas like the industrial park in this video - absolutely nobody would suspect a thing!

Correct..we had plain white LWB transit for years and no bother from anyone in town or countryside

You might need to invest in a wheelchair ramp soon if you don't get some new wheels with some headroom. Great videos and editing.
Been to Scotland is a defo must once u get mobile again id get a large tent u put on the back of the car then its not so bad u can use on campsites up there there's a site called workabout i used to use for odd jobs try get a remote job that u can work from home or anywhere in uk while living in a camper because u will need some sort of income apart from you tube to keep u going
Hey will just one suggestion, if you get a new "home" please buy one which has a door like in houses, not a sliding door, the benefits of that is that in sliding doors you cant utilise the space, but in opening doors kind of cars you can hang so many things, a car for eg FORD E250

I usually prep my veg before I leave for a trip, putting them in zip loc bags. Saves time and effort out and about

I think maybe you should try and get a van be more comfortable for you to sleep and also maybe live in? Also with a decent size van say a LWB you could fit a bathroom in there yes a bathroom. Cooking would be safer also you could either do a sofa/double bed combo or just a bed permanently set up.
I personally would love to do a van build then travel.
Plus also we benefit as you will hopefully put more videos on your channel 😉😉

I love watching your videos. It's your boundary pushing that I appreciate. Living in a smalller urban centre in Canada, I have a lot more places to park and sleep and I have a larger vehicle. Once we start getting some above 5 degree nights, I'm sure I'll be able to take my goofball beagle on a few road trips. Thanks for showing the art of the possible.
Just a thought with you sleeping very heavy. Did you have a vent open for fumes to escape from tea lights..... Carbon Monoxide... Makes you very sleepy

You inspired me.. I bought a galaxy off my colleague the other day .. with the captains chairs up front. I love it .. using it to take the dogs out and have little picnics in at the beach. Not sure how to jot it out year current removed the 5 rear seats and it’s a blank canvas 👌🏼

My car does the same thing on the driver's door. It's part of the anti-theft security feature and is a royal pain. Read your car manual on how to turn it off.

The heat released from two candles can only be increased by adding fuel. Plant pots will not produce more heat.
The pot holds the heat

Another great video bud. If your looking for a van that can still be stealth look at a transit connect . I posted a terrible video the other day on my micro camper🤦♂️ its not a channel worthy video but will give you an idea of space. Carry on the top work.
Next time, chorizzo first, remove and set aside, onion, then garlic, then peppers, add chorizzo back and so on :p
The North East coast is a much overlooked part of the country with some fantastic spots for a bit of stealth camping overlooking the sea! I live in Whitley Bay which is stunning! defo worth a pin in the map for when lockdown eases up a bit!

I am using a tea light heater, they take a good hour to warm up. I use 4 tea lights and a bigger pot and put a coin over the hole at the top
A van build series would be great! Sometimes I’d like to gut my van and rebuild it with a different layout, but it’s a lot of work and there will come a time when I want a bigger van. Love the videos though Will!

I've gone the other way from big white van with everything plus kitchen sink to compact MPV with minimal set up.. parking is a lot easier since I made the swap.how about a ford connect or similar?newer vehicle -less hassle and better set-up inside

The door issue is the same as mine I had it bad with all four doors. broken wiring loom in the door. I had to re wire the whole thing. My ford galaxy camper has given up the ghost I have had to rip it all out and get a new car. Reborn as Citroen grand C4 Picasso camper. Wanted to go the van route but I just love the small compact park anywhere part of it. Vids are cracking though. 👍

Try cannock chase mate its west.midlands where I live . Theres dozens of overnight parking spots . Its 40 miles squared woodland. We have very good spots . Also 3 species of deer . 2 species of snakes the only 2 native to britain . Adders and grass snakes .. its cannock west midlands .

Hey Will love your videos. But, I’m a a bit concern about your safety. Have you considered a portable induction cooktop or a rice cooker instead? You’ll probably need to hook it up to a power inverter connected to your 12V inlet. Plus, I would recommend a glass breaker/seatbelt cutter or hammer just in case you can’t get out of your vehicle in an emergency. Just an idea. Stay safe and adventurous!

We tried the candle and pot thing too and it didn't work for us either, although we're lucky if we get 16/17 here in Northern Ireland in the summer, never mind in the winter. You really scare me at times with your antics around flame 🔥, must be the mother in me. Do you ever get told off by your parents or family members? Either way please be careful. Just a wee tip if you chop your veg etc up at home and put it in sandwich bags it would be a lot easier for you when cooking in a small space. Looking forward to seeing you in a bigger van and don't forget to stay away from open flames lol.

Not long stumbled upon your channel mate. Very good content. Love what you're doing. Re your question on your Galaxy. I've owned many ford's over the years and the old ones were great but my last, a 2003 Mondeo Gia x did my head in with the things that kept going wrong with it. In principle the best car I've ever owned but it just did my noggin in. My advice is when you can afford it move to something else. Just for your own sanity lol.
