This one is the most clear PC Build guide i've ever seen, as newbie looking on how to do things!. One suggestion though when showing the power supply show the full back instead of the side of the power supply when explaining it would be helpful to someone like me who doesnt have experience building a computer
Got my montech sky two case today and all the components needed. I had a view questions about all the wirings, it being my first build. and you cleared them all up with this video. Much thanks, amazing quality build guide ❤
I’m building a rig in this case now for my cousin. Great case. Plenty of gpu clearance. More than my O11. Only things I don’t like is there isn’t much room in the rear to run the cpu/power cables and close the back or up top with a 360 rad. The case needs to be 1/2” deeper in the rear for cables and 1/2” taller to clear the cpu power cables. It works just needs some massaging to clear everything. The rubber grommets also detach from the cage easy with any pressure against them. All in all is a great case. I mounted a 5 inch screen next to the fan on the bottom. Ran Corsair 360 rad up top and chained the montech hub to Corsairs hub as the master pwm hub and all the fans match up, color, speed etc. Most 4080/4090 will need a different 12hpwr cable to clear the glass. This is the issue on newer cases. Even though these cards have been out for over a year. They’re just not deep enough. They say they’ll clear the gpu. But remember you realistically need another 1-1.5 inches of case depth to clear the 12hpwr and the glass to not have issues. A 14700k with a 360 aio idles in the 20s and maxes around 80c. I wouldn’t run an air cooler with the newer Intel chipsets in this case. Even a 240mm would need better
Incredible video! Thanks for sharing this with us. I am picking up this case and this clears up any concerns someone might have about building within it. Wonderful wonderful wonderful!
For the standardized front panel cable from the case, does it say which 2 holes on it are the Power Button? I am doing a case swap with HP omen and on the motherboard it just had a single 2 pin header for power switch. is it the middle 2?
I just did a build in this case with a 3070 Ti and it's great once the three-week-long ordeal of getting a working fab hub from Montech was over. Unfortunately, I was able to snag a great deal on a RTX 4080 and the darn thing is a full inch taller and there's no way to get the card AND the power cable in with the side glass on. I was looking to see if anyone had been able to do a build with a 4080 and was initially happy to see your videos, but then I realized you DIDN'T PUT THE SIDE GLASS BACK ON and it doesn't appear you bothered to mention this in the video.
@@donmohave Fortunately the 4080 DOES FIT with the side glass on with plenty of room to spare. I got a CableMods 12VHPWR-to-3X Corsair adapter cable - but not a right-angle adapter - to not have the mess of the squid dongle and the cable clears the glass by at least a half-inch without having to aggressively bend it down. I ran the cable underneath the GPU between the bottom fan (not using the hole in the shroud) and the GPU and initially ran into a horrid noise because when the GPU's fans started turning, they sucked the cable up and made it rub. I'm sure the bottom fan didn't help by blowing up either. But a slight adjustment to the angle and it never happened again.
@@davelee73 inside the case? With fans on top? I did a 360 AIO with (3) 120s below blowing up and it's real tight. About an 8th inch gap from top of Mobo.
I was not able to install the 4th fan on the bottom. My MSI MAG tomahawk motherboard has the usb 3 header there and the cable interferes with installation. Had to install on the top of the case (using screws that were not included)
I bought the Montech sky 2 with MSI B550 lightning den for my first build. Wonder how its going to look and hope all argb connectors and usb 3 are there
Are you sure about the slot you pointed out as the 2nd slot that goes toward the cpu? In the manual for the asus z790-e it says that the m.2-2 is at the bottom slot connected to m.2-5 heat spreader. The bottom slot on the left is the other m.2 slot that goes toward the cpu. You connected the m.2 drive to slot 3 that goes to the chipset.
I think you are right. I just built my z790-e this weekend and seems like M.2_2 is the one talks to cpu but not M.2_3 as Chris put in his ssd. M.2_3~5 talk to the chipset.
Enlighten me please. Can I use splitter on rgb hub? I want to put 3 more rgb fans on top totalling to 7 fans but from what I see it only has 6 connections. Planning on my first build and this case looks really cool
Hey Christopher not sure you're still replying to these older videos but I was wondering what the connection from your PSU to the USB 2.0 header on the motherboard was all about? I can't find anything about that in any documentation for my motherboard or PSU. Thanks!
Na początku karta bez obciążenia przechodziła w tryb pasywny lecz po kilku dniach caly czas witraki pracują.Co powinienem zrobić żeby wiatraki uruchamiały się tylko podczas obciążenia karty ?
I have and older B450 motherboard (no WiFi) and it doesn’t have a port for the header type C cable, is it really needed or do I need to buy an adapter or something?
I'm trying to figure that out to. He said it was a connection from his power supply. Maybe the power supply supports communication of its status via USB or something?
@@ZenAndPsychedelicHealingCenter a little help won't hurt lol :D i was asking the guy regarding his observations of the case it self and how "wide" it is , as he must have seen a 4080 and the case it self before , would they match.
Hi Christopher, would you give me a hand? Now I have a 4000D Airflow in whit but I'd like to move to a black system. Move to a NZXT H5 airflow keeping my CPU cooler. 2. Move to a NZXT H5 Airflow and move to a Corsair iCUE H115i Elite Capellix 280m + LCD mounted at the front. 3. Move to an Sky Two keeping my CPU cooler. 4. Move to AN Sky Two and moving to a 360 at the top, maybe a Phanteks Glacier One 360MP D-RGB. Another option would be moving to a 5900X to get the last AM4 candy, even if I don't need that much power, and keep the rest of my rig as it is now (or moving to it in a few months).
how the fuck does your 3.1 cable go in so easily mine refuses to go in. also i dont think my graphics card is going in with that big ass cable in the way anyway
I have this air cooler Base version, without rgb, i7 13700k and the same case. When I use blender it reachs 99c everytime I render something. I have to choose another cooler for this processor using this case?

I'm about to build my first gaming. Just a quick question after building it I need to update the bios.?

Amazing video and the case!!!! Would love to see more montech
Great build love this channel I learn so much watching your channel ty
Love this case
This is an awesome case for the price.
I guess that the white connector is just to sense the speed of the fan with a proper cable from one of the fan header on the motherboard.
