ThAnk you for taking the time to make this video. I just picked up 2 oem mirrors that had the wires cut flush where they mount to the door and need to figure out how to wire them up to work on my 2001 f350
I priced the factory mirror at my ford dealer and it was $1,300.00so it appears that the after market mirror and a little work is the way to go. I enjoyed your video.
Love the video! This is EXACTLY what I needed to find to replace JUST the housing on my 2016 F-250 driver side mirror that I also mucked up... mine was when I clipped my wife's Honda Pilot as I was backing into the garage. No damage to the Pilot! HA!
My 2011 f250 due to my salt covered roads completely rusted all inner parts of the mirror. The rail for this n and out was the worst nothing left. Good video
Excellent video.. Just ordered the same replacement mirrors and will be following along to replace the housing on my driver's side mirror. Will report back on how well it went. Appreciate the tutorial.
Excellent video!!! I have an aftermarket tow mirrors and I am replacing a burnt bulb. It’s a shame that we have to break the bottom convex mirror to get it off, but I was able to buy the convex mirror with a 3m tape to place on top of the broken one… Thanks again for the video, it was quite helpful!!!
Thank you for great video. Any hints where to find good video for repair of folding mechanism on these mirrors. My passenger side one folds only 1/4 of the way.
I found out that if your truck has memory only specific mirrors will work if you are replacing them. They adjust on a different plane without memory. So that being said they are truck specific. If all the gears in your original mirrors are good then this fix is fantastic. Mine wern't have to get the full mirror...darn.
Thanks for being my guinea pig! I was wondering if any of the aftermarket shells would work, I clobbered my right side mirror on a porch roof support post that I had driven past probably 2000 times plowing snow over the last 20 years.
The video we all needed.
Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video I feel very confident in taking this project on now!

Can you show how to disassemble the hinged folding section of the 2018 F-350 folding mirrors so that I can access the folding motor?
Thanks for being my guinea pig!

I suspect all the aftermarket shells will work. You may have to make some internal modifications like I had to.
@@justagaragehack347 any idea on the motor being replaced for telescoping feature? Part number or anything?
Awesome work Doug
Nice work, Doug. 👍🏽🤠 11/8/23
Magnetic Metallic ?
Sell the driver side stock shel?
Good video
What brand was the aftermarket mirrors you bought?
See the first part of the video. I show the brand from Amazon.
Just for future videos, lighting is your friend. Hard to see in the dark basement.
Thank you.
Caliber Collision charged $1200 for a mirror.
Not a good experience with them.
The Ford dealership charges over $1600 with tax.
Noice
Great video
No need to break glass they pop off
Not the version I bought....
Noice X 2
