Not "BOSS" but Elite Boss or Leylaine. sorry typo
That time when you realize it's not a boss but just elite monster 🐧🐧🐧
you can say "last boss"
There's a boss monster who's like the ape in sekiro, wait till you see how bosses really are in WW :)
Nothing like genshin
Oh no,... here we go again making comparison between two completely different games.....
idle animation is an exact copy btw. Anke has a mixture of yanfei, klee, annie, and jinx (dance) animation. I think anke even has amber idle animation, you know, like when she hugs her doll. Or maybe not anke but one of the characters in the game. Eula idle, diluc idle, etc. Btw, 40 "stamina cost" like it's 40 resins for boss loots made so obvious where their inspiration was.
I don't understand why many GI players see this as a bad thing and start insulting WW, as a Genshin player I love this, a game that offers what Genshin doesn't have, and WW competing with Genshin helps both games, I wish WW the best, I already want to try this video game.
It's simple, they are brainwashed plus actual toxic and bad people
Maybe its because some of the ww players are already trashing on genshin like tof players did and they're simply reacting.
@@joshuadavey650 not only ww fans. Its a bunch of GS haters and most of them doesnt even play the game.
@@Teddy-wz9mw yeah genshin success really made so many haters jealous they're probably praying for genshin to fail just because they can happy. Really a bunch of pathetic people imo. Actually the genshin hate was worse during old times especially before tof release. People were hyping it up to be genhsin killer and saying tof is better than genshin in every way genshin will die when tof release i warned those idiots to stop overhyping a game as popular games killer it will end badly but they didn't listen and now look at the state of tof now. If u ask those haters they won't even admit they did that in the past.
Most of them just racist runt who brainwashed by their political to hate on China.
genshin have a happy and relaxing vibe while ww have sad, serious and depressed vibe, I love them both
Compared to the technical test this looks phenomenal already, and the first closed beta test hasn't even started yet. I'm excited to see how polished the game will be but knowing Kuro I have high expectations. I just hope they don't mess up at launch like what happened with PGR.
if CBT WW doesn't take a lot of time then the release potential will be brought forward to the end of this year even bigger.
I'm a long time Genshin player and this looks pretty cool. I still prefer the aesthetic and mechanics in Genshin, but I feel like this is exactly what we want more of-- for other games to take and distill what Hoyoverse has built into its own kind of subgenre of game so we get more Genshin like experiences within different stories from different creators. None of that threatens Genshin as a game. I'll still play that until it's over. But I'm more likely to play offshoot games like this also because the mechanics are already beloved and familiar.
Mechanics that genshin has was never exclusive towards them they didn't create anything original also pretty sure ww was in development before gi, built into its own kind of subgenre of game wtf are talking about lol yall delusional.
@@LogiGoldman find me another open world that uses elements and elemental reactions exactly like genshin.

As a genshin player, I love that the environment in wuthering waves have similarities yet darker and has apocalyptic vibes.
The gameplay and the characters also looks so cool! I'm excited to play this!
Looks to me like Genshin was centered around exploration with it's climbing and gliding mechanics, whereas Wuthering Waves wants you to utilize those movement options in combat. Glider comes out quicker, falls faster. Wall walking. The literal keybind to grapple the air and be able to glide and do a plunge attack pretty much whenever. God, the combat in this game is gonna feel so good! I mean, Kuro Games doesn't miss when it comes to combat (see Punishing Gray Raven)
while I was testing the CBT wuthering wave, the most crucial thing was maintaining stamina in battle so that combos and parries could be maximized
@@gameplay_shorts oh yeah, very similarly to PGR, "resource" management is gonna be too important lol. In PGR, it's your dodge meter and skill orbs. In WW, it's gonna be dodge meter and stamina (unless dodging is off of stamina in which case dear God save us all, dark souls up in this shit😎)
@@gameplay_shorts The boss fight example wasn’t very clear though, since it didn’t really have any parrying or perfect dodge/plunge showcases. The clip just shows walking around and repeated attacking which might be why some people in the comments think Genshin and Ww have the same systems.
@@CashySwanson Multiple articles did state that WuWa is gonna be souls-like just like their past game PGR. SO I'm looking forward to it.
I've been playing GI since its release and I'm gonna say Wuthering Waves' combat and character switching looks promising and much cooler. What I wanted to be implemented in GI ever since is on how they handle overworld bosses or the elite boss wherein WW has minions which I think adds more flavor and difficulty to the experience a dungeon raid would be cherry on top. Definitely gonna try WW hoping they will have a reasonable gacha rate/system where most games like this fail to make ends with their playerbase that GI managed to have a decent design compared to other gacha systems.
Looking forward to Wuthering Waves 😎

I seriously want players to enjoy both game instead of fight each other, as a genshin player from release I am so hype for this game, and probably the 1st game I will spend money without 2nd thought.
I’m a genshin player and I am so thrilled after seeing WW trailer. Looks like I’m gonna be busy on both of my games 🤩🤙🏻

@@gameplay_shorts and Fontaine is just around the corner too! This is a happy gaming year for me 🫶🏻
Yeah when you arrives at the end of the exploration you just need barely 30 minutes every day for genshin .. so having two games like this it's not a bad thing
One is beautiful and artistic, other is realistic and cool.
WW looks beautiful for me and mysterious too
i always prefered more realistic and post apo world, feels deeper and more interessing for me
Matter of opinion ^^
The combat definitely topples genshin, no matter what they say, the combat in wuthering wave is more engaging and more technical. You can formulate many combos and make it look flashy at the same time. If your someone who loves combat, WW is the way and of course, if your a casual who doesn't want complicated and hard content, just stick with genshin.
That's because ToF made school here
@@ok_listen again, wrong. PGR is the one who made school for this game (since both of them belongs to Kuro anyway, not to mention, PGR's gamestyle is much harder than you know)

As a Genshin player, I'm looking forward to trying this game out too. It looks like it's gonna be a cool game with a good story and I'm in for it. I need more games like these
Wuthering Wave combat mechanics are completely different approach than Genshin.
WW will do a Combat style pretty similar to their predecessor like PGR stylish combat games. While Genshin is about Elemental Combos.
If you asked me which do I prefer. Well, I like PGR combat system it feels like you are control the fight rather than the game control that fight. Which is what I like hence my fav game of all time is Devil May Cry. Genshin have Combat Control too but it n’t felt you’re in control in anyway.
Ur a dmc fan. Awesome. I knew this game would attract fans of dmc. Been called it since the reveal last year. The devs said we will see videos of crazy combos when this game is released and I can't wait for it dmc set the standard for combos in arpg's
@@Prodigal450 Well DMC is getting their own Mobile Game this year too which I might get distracted for a week or two. I think the reason why I like PGR because it felt great to play similar feelings of DMC. And it’s not helping when Alpha/Crimson Abyss Gacha release where pretty much DMC fans going to obsessed with her hence she is basically Vergil in PGR. So when I know Wuthering Wave is a Kuro Games I know I might enjoy the combat of this arpg game. I alrd signed up for cbt which I have high expectations for this game, especially the combat system.
@@tsuaririndoku I know we say shes Vergil's daughter but if you know who Ishida Mitsunari is from Sengoku Basara, yous will see a resemblance in their attacks

Having dropped both genshin and tof i still have high expectations for this one, both games were amazing in their own ways, but i want challenge, it may not be the right type of games but if they are gonna make cool bosses and implement some new mechanics this will make me hooked with this game, i really want some serious boss fights, were u can actually both evade AND parry, im dying to see some counters in this game, and i'd love to see them implemented for every damn character. Wish they make boss fight that leaves you with the thought of wanting to fight that boss again right away cause it's cool and challenging
Tof wasn't challenging? You needed a huge team to beat the bosses in that game
@@Prodigal450 yeah that's true, but the fact is that they usually were bad fights, server and boss lagging like crazy and well even with good armor pieces you got bishotted, attacks had also weird hitboxes
In PGR they have a parry system it depends the how to hit the boss..I believe it will be included this to ww .they have the same dev so I expect more than that.
@@Prodigal450 No he s kinda right, albeit ToF fight is fun and challenging WW seems to looks better, and Kuro the dev, did have proved it with PGR, maybe if Hotta released their second game. I mean ToF is their first right? while Hoyo has Honkai, and Kuro has PGR already.
@@dragonmyballsz268 from the hit boxes to animation timing, tof didn’t do too well. A good amount of attacks were usually a small amount of frames off or seems be a little off. I’m placing my trust in Ww because Pgr showed me that the combat hit frames almost completely match up with the animation. From the parrying and plung combos I see, Ww seems pretty promising. I’m probably going to sign up for a future beta test if there is one and if not, probably wish for game release to check things out myself though.
The first time in decade the top comments of GI vs *enter text* post are not trashing Genshin but instead they doing proper argument
Both of the two is good, I hope they collab.
I love how Genshin community in other videos of WW official sneak-peak gameplay always insult it as Genshin clone and mock it as "Genshin killer" when Kuro themselves only meant to compete.
As soon as WW comes out, i'll install it because i know how friendly and optimized Kuro game is to mid-low spec phones as they did in PGR, meaning that i don't have to worry about my phone's storage and performance.
even I just logged in daily mission and resin was spent then exited. actually the genshin devs are too play it safe so that we players suffer.
I used to hope for TOF but it's a shame this game instead took the MMORPG genre so it couldn't compete with genshin. because Wuthering wave is 100% RPG so I'm very happy
@@gameplay_shorts Can't have the player base get wrinkles on their foreheads, let's give them some minigames for the rest of the games life.
Well, not all genshin player. I am a genshin player and I too, am excited for WW.
Unfortunately WW targets players more into hard/darker games like Nier, Dmc, and Souls
It’s good to see other competitive game out here as genshin impact getting bored, all character looks the same, from total of 3 or 4 base module, character just change some color hair style. And the fighting doesn’t feel satisfying, I need to keep changing character in a battle field, that’s odd.
The more competition there is, the more unique Genshin will become. We need games like THESE so hoyoverse can stop being lazy

Nice Answer👌
so like tsurumi island??? i mean call me a genshin fanboy but there are all kinds of atmosphere in genshin impact, from the relaxed feel of mondat to the mystique of enkanomiya, or the feeling of descending in hell in the chasm. losing your sense of direction in desert underground, loneliness of desert surface , fairy tail esque vibes of aranara village or the inazuma land which feels like lightning in a storm. its all there, and its just great.
also like the enemies were doing like no damage in the demo so if there is a healer character combat will be as trivial as genshin and the only difficulty will come from timed challenges, if the enemies still do the same damage, although they could limit healing which would be great, maybe refill healing resources after clearing a wave of enemies, kinda like that other open world game which shook gaming a year ago, although it was trying to be more casual friendly rather than opposite like im suggesting.....
anyways, it comes down to enemies, please buff em. i really want something diffrent than genshin. i mean the only thing i have gotten a bit tired of genshin is the combat, its just damn eazy man, like recent additions of scorpian and flame birds are great, along with the eleite eremites but ehe. i mean i understand they want to balance it around the player only having the starter 4 characters but i would still want some optional challenges. like some AR60+ mode, or a hard mode . they dont even need to change the rewards just pump up enemies to level 100 or more
sorry bout the rant, i really hope this game lives up to expectations
What about tower of fantasy LOL for hard core mmorpg player
I hated exploring Enkanomiya/Chasm/Wuwang Hill/Tsurumi Island because of its atmostphere/colours or lack thereof.. guess WW isn't for me
maybe more of an indirect competition will happen since wuwa is very clearly targeted to people with different tastes (post apocalyptic, difficult bosses, hack and slash). wuwa will probably just absorb the bored, competitive genshin players (like me lol)
(no but rlly, if ur bored just please play other games. pgr is a nice start)
I honestly tried and didn’t enjoy genshin due to it being too boring. I guess after playing difficult games for a long time, I actually enjoy a parrying, blocking, dodging based game more than just spamming ultimates. No hate but I guess I would probably argue that most people probably play Genshin because of its character designs and story and not because the game itself is fun. I guess elemental reactions can be satisfying to see though.
GI is always beautiful with it's world scenery, and i love it.
But when it's compared to Wuthering Waves "First Gameplay look" GI looks like unpolished game😂
I more like desaturated and dark shading like WW did, maybe just because i was Souls player lol
They have different aesthetics, but the quality is the same
@@tenhaaaa WuWa have better meshes / polygon for their playable characters, the Motion Blur is more thick and that's what i like
Either way, WuWa is Built in UE 4.5 while Genshin Built in Unity
@@infinite2306 the program used to program wuwa is more prone to glitches due to its high quality of graphics, while Genshin, being programmed by unity, is less prone to them but lowers the visual quality of the game overall. Both are good, one just chose graphics over the other. Besides, the Genshin team have made it clear that they always use bright, warm colors so the players can feel at ease when playing. Its difficult to make a game with the scale of Genshin. Heck, just look at the cost to maintain it alone.

@@kaycex1 “Not that costly”
Not every company can pull out 200mil per year to develop a game. Because that’s how much it cost to make and maintain Genshin.
@Abdurazaq Omotunde If you type on google “how much does Genshin cost to make” you’ll get those numbers. Indeed that money goes to advertising but that money also goes into:
-Music/sound design
-Designing the world in the game, making events
-Creating characters
-Voice actors
-Animations
-Story/lore world-building
The models save time, money, and making each design unique will take up more time and space in the game (it is also why most events are temporary or else phone users will suffer the most). Regardless if you think or don’t think Genshin looks how much it took, the fact is- Genshin was and is still expensive to make and maintain.
@Abdurazaq Omotunde genshin impact holds the record of being the most expensive game worlds ever made, and its not even close.

I agree with you there. WW DEV = We're releasing CBT
Genshin DEV = we are releasing Trailer 14 Knights of ABYSS/Khaenri'ah.
because WW is 100% RPG then I am very happy
that something will only occur everytime (more like once a year) a new nation drops because new game mechanics and new huge chunk of the story will drop in as well, so wuthering waves has enough time to carve their own name
end game content is needed.
Personally, I still like Genshin more, I don't have much interest in this game, but I'm glad that Genshin has competition, Hoyoverse will finally improve Genshin Impact
The combat looks raw 👌
Looks nice, definitely.
Unfortunately, it'll suffer the same as Genshin on mobile devices with visuals, 1920x864, which looks pretty bad.
PGR, though, runs at 2400x1080 on mobile, but Wuthering Waves is an Open World game, so it's going to take a visual hit.
Kuro is apparently trying to decrease the size of the game without removing as many visuals as possible. I honestly think they might pull it off pretty well, since Genshin has a really big file size even for how big the game is. I feel like genshin as of now could have been fit into maybe 27gb but it is now currently over 34gb on mobile devices.
The reason i dont explore much in genshin is cuz the mobility just isnt great, especially when climbing, this looks awesome
You have to try Sumeru, i cant remember the last time i climb in the map.
Genshin has a big problem for me - the plot for kids
I hope this game is more generous than genshin at now it'll be the genshin killer
Love the style and combat but only time will tell. If the story and exploration are fun definitely worth a try.
And of course if RNG isn't out for your head.
Ww needs more refining . Some movement feels stiff
You can wall run in wuthering waves? Cool
Maybe one's who likes gloomy atmosphere might like wuwa but i prefer genshin more coz of those real world references (not fully but nations are based on real world and some cultural references) aethestics and underwater exploration too
all beautiful but the genshin colors path are more "briliant" , more vibrant
Tbh ww is better coz it is faster, more of like imbued with action and the way they climb on walls, rocka that u can sprint on walls rather climbing,u can make your combos woulf give it an upper hand and that dark theme damnnnn
I want to feel more combat gameplay since Genshin Failed to give me the satisfaction of using my character. And they already state they will not focusing on combat content anymore.. wuthering waves looks promising and i will not treat Wuthering waves as another Genshin but more like Open world PGR and we know how amazing PGR combat gameplay is .
I'm also quite disappointed with genshin because my favorite character Dehya's "KIT" was destroyed by DEV genshin.
@@gameplay_shorts im in! that's was also what makes me feel so disappointed on hoyo. They ruin my pyro queen.
@@CaelusXFirefly69pyro queen? U mean yoimiya right? Best pyro dps in the game. Stans can cry all they want about her being single target but that's ok because she deletes targets
@@CaelusXFirefly69 Even when I played Dehya C6 it was only comparable to C0 hu tao with its premium party.
@@Prodigal450 if yoi is your pyro queen nice. But mine is Dehya.
I don't think mihoyo owns the genre, but it almost makes me feeling like vomiting at how 1:1 the ui and mechanics are.
Bruh the Genshin killer thing is just a word from a stranger in social. This game looks nice and i want it to be one of the top game for open world genre in their own style. Just hope its not ptw.
The only problem I see with WW is that .....there very less Saturation and less brightness.......maybe it can be changed in the settings......
But right now I'm just referring to this video
wow, the shadows are good. though dont know how long till it gets support of DLSS aka RTX, ray tracing etc
Ayooo, the combat look cool, that kind of game that I wanted! Not just some random need high char, to skill more
I want more dodge and fight, not random one shot shit and meta stuff
I am a Genshin player and I still prefer Genshin more but I will also try out this game. 👀
Combat definitely goes to WW, it’s like a mix of both Genshin and Honkai
i mean personally this already feels better than genshin if you are an endgame player and i was searching an alternative for genshin.thanks mate
Well, I believe both Genshin and WW have their own story genre and world setting. We can't assume everyone have the exactly same taste. There are people who loves fantasy world, and so do people loves apocalypse world. But for me, I'm more to Genshin. That's all, no offense hehe. Just play what you like.
Ww is better
@@wisnumiku5156People have different preferences, both games have their ups and downs
Also I play for lore and scenery so I prefer genshin more
Zelda BotW = Mother
Genshin = Daughter
Wuthering Waves = Little Sister
Both are so amazing and i cant wait for Wuthering Waves
@Kira 🤡
What about tower of fantasy
@@kira-wt2mk FORESPOKEN WHAT the disrespect
@@kira-wt2mk Now let's not play like that okay
@@allcomrade1329 you mean, Tower of Failure?
why make a GI clone when they can put the best of the videogames and what the community wants?
i mean, i would like to have the opportunity of a great coop or it be an mmorpg, at least.
It is nice to have another game similar to Genshin so when you are burnt out you can just switch.
I don't understand why every game has to be compared to GI.
It's simple. Genshin has become so big that it's impossible to ignore.
@@abdurazaqomotunde4894 so wrong lol, completely opposite of what you saying
looks cool but I can't imagine myself starting a new game that's basically the same thing in different font. kind of a shame that they're so similar
WUTHERING WAVES DONT CLIMB, THEY RUN
WW looks good, but I'm really not sold on this trend where you "build a team" but only get to use one person at a time.
What's the point of a team/party if there's only one active variable at any given time?
well, if you interested for gank up feature try aether gazer, you'll know why
imo that feature just make the game messy on one point since the enemies will focused on random character instead of yours making your formation and combo messed up, and moreover the area will be too crowded and busy making your fps drop, and lastly the difficulties will be much easier because the combat will be ended up faster because your party is the one who take care the enemies without you notice
i know it's just preference, but i just describe the reason why several people prefer single character controlled
@@enma9359 I get your point, but this gameplay is already well-established with its own brand of terminologies. I'm simply pointing out the mismatch of expectation when it's described as having a team-building feature.
Also, just a minor counterpoint, but I think you're exaggerating on the messiness a bit too much. You've listed one example, a "teambuilding" game does not need to be necessarily a gank-up subgenre. Games like FGO and PriConne revolve around forming a team of characters that fill out the roles you need them to. And if we stick with the former, then I'd argue Guardian Tales is an excellent gank-up game.
One thing that are hard to copy from any of Hoyoverse game is their fluid combat animation. PGR combat animation are top tier though and seems more fun to play, but you can't deny how fluid Genshin combat animation are even though they are not as cool as Wuthering Waves in term of gameplay
Honestly since PGR probably has the most fluid/realistic animations in the gacha game industry as of now, Kuro games will probably eventually adapt that fluidity into WuWa. As for Genshin having fluid combat animations, I would say less fluid and more satisfying. The trails left by the blade and the sparks of color are so nice to look at but as in fluidity, it’s fine, but usually when you are hopping through characters every second you don’t get to see see those animations among the blooming amount of numbers and effects.
Not, sure about your fluid statment when the game only uses E and Q 😅
I think wuthering waves is overall great. Just need to fix their color pallette.
Both games are good, but I like Wuthering Waves more, because it tries to be less colorful, wall climbing feels like wall running, gliding looks badass when you see that the character holds it with 1 arm, the combat looks very good, combat feels faster and I like the fact that in Wuthering Waves you can do and air combo
Gliding looks like they straight ripped off Nier
@@Creepyreapz well, Kuro Games devs said that they are a huge fan of Nier Automata and their first game (PGR) is heavily inspired by it.
Not only that, they literally collab with Nier in PGR.
@@Zack_Strife47 yeah, I forgot about this, I have every Nier character in PGR, I am F2P player. It would be cool if Wuthering Waves and PGR will have a collab
