This Getz is an evergreen small hatchback
I bought it new till today after 15 years of ownership, maintenance is cheap, spare parts available easily, no major issues .
Still love it as a second car in use whenever parking is scare and tight in some places.
Will not sell it as it is still very reliable and dependable at all times.
    Good car.

@damoblake6000 so far never encountered such issue whenever sent for service to authorised workshop.
Had mechanic check everything each time from engine to suspension .
Remember this car is meant for convenience and not for trash driving .

had it for 200k km, i replaced a lot, but it wasn't manufacturer issue, it as poor work done one it and some minor accidents over time. The bodywork is the most important to look when buying used, the mechanics are cheap to replace and diagnose. Some parts are insanely expensive though, like the door actuators for locking and unlocking the car. those are 160 euros a pop at the time of writing. Not worth it for me to replace. i've seen videos going 180km/h, i don't recommend going above 150 with the 1.1l engine at least, as things will start to happen like pullies getting knocked out of balance, such as water pump pulley, harmonic balancer and so on. after 7-8 and about 100k km years it requires some investment: shock absorbers, timing belt, all bushings will go out @ 120k so you will need to replace those too, all the fluids need replacement if you don't want any leaks, i also recommend replacing the harmonic balancer and clutch pack assembly at about 170k, along with the seals for the crankshaft.

Where is the water tank located or is it only coolant?

Mine is a 2004 1.1 GSI with 60,000 miles on the clock starts and drive perfectly good , only issue so far is that I have a knocking sound coming from left front wheel arch but doesn't do it on full lock , over bumps or normal turning seems to be when changing gear most the time. Thought it was the anti roll bar at first but not that then checked drop links not them either wish bone seems fine as well as tie rod ends . So strange thinking could be top mount but but it's got no signs of that being it . Can anyone help who's had a similar problem?

I have been driving for 35 years. I have a used 2006 3-door 1.1. Its km. are 190,000. It is a pretty good Capitalist product. It starts the first time. Drives very well especially in a Finnish winter. The bodywork is very good indeed. The seats are comfortable. The positioning of the seat belts is very far back neither my wife nor I can get them on easily. Seems like all that American investment has led to South Koreans evolving physically abnormally. The boot space is pretty good for a small hatchback. The dome light is really hopeless and no light above the driver's seat so you need night vision goggles to use at night. Very basic inside Spartan. This one leaks a little oil from somewhere. Our mechanic searched and could not find where but seems its no problem. One thing I must say is in choosing colours we really like the Candy Red that our one is and she is called Candy. Just imagine what could be achived if Korea was reunified and Communist ingenuity could properly organize things :)

who cares, buy yourself a Mercedes C180 and deck it out with mods. Getz's would have to be the most ugliest car and slowest in the world
