This is enhanced Getz. Had thr CBU with 1.3 Auto. Just an A to B car with good decent space. I just love the compact size. Ride is comfortable and quiet. Long haul ride is more comfortable than Myvi. Just the engine is sluggish, auto gb gear hunting, not so efficient FC and part is a bit dearer, power steering but slightly heavier. I found out the 1.3 cbu engine uses mitsubishi block because you can change wira 1.3 waterpump that fits exactly. Then this 1.4 under Inokom came out with better power and FC. Also it is using timing chain with lower maintenance. Good to see a well kept Getz and its a Manual! Pls keep it nicely.
Both the Hyundai Getz and Matrix were known for being "heavy" or "berat" in tetms of weight and fuel consumption. But they did felt solid and planted on highways instead of bouncy and floating.
I miss driving manual car. My first car was Nissan Sentra 1.6 manual transmission which I bought in 2004. In 2019, I bought Honda HRV 1.8 automatic transmission due to a few problems but still in good condition. Hopefully, I manage to drive manual car again because I prefer controlling the car and not the other way round.
Just to share Getz had few variant for Malaysian Market CBU -1.3 5 doors, 1.6 5 doors, 1.3 3 doors, limited units of 1.4 5 doors with disc brakes (pre ckd). CKD (Inokom) 1.4 5 doors manual and auto. Limited units of Getz 1.4 5 doors Sportiz edition

The archilles heel of the manual version of the Getz is the gear ratios. The 4 speed auto model drives a lot better in my opinion. Anyways, nice review of this 16 year old hatch which Jeremy Clarkson used to say he enjoys driving, but choose to keep it a secret. A real workhorse of a car this Getz!✌️
that's my favourite little hatchback the most ultra rare is the 3 door variant i love this car hopefully when i grow up I'm going to find this second hand in a very good condition
I'm planning to get one for my track day car. I saw one with manual transmission about 6K super cheap. First stage, I would remove the rear seat and replace front seats with light weight seats. Installing roll cage and remove unnecessary stuffs for weight reduction.

It was from the OBD2 meter. The first beep is due to reaching 6500rpm then followed by coolant temperature reaching 105°C. It was preset by the meter itself.

Look at it this way. Getting stuck in a 3 hour jam in a manual car means you get both legs a good workout, no need to go to a gym. You'd come out of the car with exercised, slightly muscular legs, though maybe a bit bowed like a cowboy after a long distance horse ride😅. But it's still better than getting stuck in a 3 hour jam in an automatic car - only your right leg gets a workout, and you'd come out of the car dragging that tired leg just like a zombie in those "The Walking Dead" episodes😂. Now, which is more desirable/cooler - walk like a cowboy🤠, or walk like a zombie🧟♂?😂🤣😅. From my personal experience a manual transmission Kelisa 850EX owner (already done more than 485K km in that car; I also own the first Getz 1.6 already done about 455K km). LOL😆😁😅

For small engined cars you need to push them a bit in order to max out the power. That is a given. Reducing the final drive ratio helps a little.
