You have to get a header panel for 2005 and the headlights will lineup perfect
You can also just trim a 7.3 header. There is a stencil online someone
Riffraff diesel has the template if you look at their 05-07 headlights they have it in one of the pictures, and you can also get the 05-07 6.0 header panel but you will need the actual 05-07 grille bc the trimmed one won't work

I love the black and chrome mirrors. Leave them with the chrome and black decals! That’s what I would do if it was my truck. But at the end of the day it has to be what you like!

Ok here me out, smooth out the black plastic on the mirrors and paint it gloss black. I think that would look the best in my opinion.

One thing I would suggest instead of teal maybe green and to a black interior that way you truly have a strawberry look

If you wanna add a touch of custom detail to the mirrors I'd paint match the connecting base of the mirrors only, so it's 50/50 paint/black & chrome.
(part that connects to door)
(leave extending arms and mirrors themselves alone in black and chrome)
Peanut butter interior with starlight headliner is gonna be a must with that awesome color.

You can trim a section out of the header panel, and they will fit perfectly. Back when I had my 04’ I opted to trim mine , and like it said it fit perfectly. There’s a few videos on it, but I found a good pic to follow, when I googled 99 to 06 f250 headlight conversion.

Black axles, black leafs. Teal drag link, tie rods, swag bar and links. Rear lift blocks and all u-bolts.
I'd paint the black body of the mirrors and leave the arms to the door black, that way you do get the black and chrome tie in but also tie the paint in so it doesn't just look like a off the shelf mirror replacement, just saying

I read another comment who suggested leaving the teal off the truck. I agree, it looks so good with the colors it has. Not sure how a polished metal or chrome lift could be done but that with maybe pink lights underneath would be nice. I watched this earlier but been thinking about so decided to come back and give my 2 cents.

Tape off the badges. Do pink and chrome leave the top of the mirror chrome and blast the black in pink. And I would honestly powder the bottom end white. Rocks lights hitting white will make it pop! Just a idea🤷🏼♂️

You can dump a little color in your clear and put a color match tinted coat over the whole lens as well. I've seen people do it with black to give a tinted look. Should look good with color as well. And I love the black and chrome. Everyone is color matching everything. You're good at being different man. It works.
I love paint matched parts as much as the next guy, but it is easy to over do and look cheesy. I think it’s a good call to leave the mirrors black and chrome! It’s coming together really nice 👍

05 and up headlights on an older core/ radiator support needs to be trimmed behind the headlight housing for them to go in all the way. I threw 6.0 harley style headlights in my 02 7.3 and had to do a bunch of trimming but when done they fit tight to the fender like they should. I went with oem lights, not sure if yours are aftermarket or not that may effect fitment. Hope this helps. Love the build
They house was pre trimmed that’s why I didn’t do that! Maybe it needs cut more!

The strawberita is looking sick 😎 and thank you for the plastic welder tip when i color match my hedlights/tailights ill remember that. ☝🏼 and also yes ryan that little three light LED strip that is all weird and awkward is supposed to be there. I have spyder headlights/ tailights also and i want to relocate them for another purpose when i do mine. They dont serve any purpose really.
If gonna do black mirrors and stuff should possibly do black door handles then have chrome covers on the handle part to open the door.

Truck is looking amazing, on my e99 7.3 we put the 05 headlights in and to modify the support to properly fit the headlights, just had to cut some of support and the fit like factory.
12 inch lift! I have one and the look but murdured out and it looks like a beast
Do the axle to match the suspension in the blue color. I think that will look best.
So Ryan color really bald so I agree needs the Black chrome contrast. I would go Black axles chrome tow hooks break up the front and as for the gap on headlight to fender some lights come with a rubber trim filler. Source a roll cut attatch clean up gap. Instead of gorilla glue or welder start working with 2 part epoxy with solkaflux as a thickener and can be pigmented as it is mixed harder quick can be sanded. You are coming along quick due to willingness to step out comfort zone. Keep it up!!
Honestly I would dream of a truck like that with a blue and purple metallic pearlescent 6.0 front but 7.3 would love to keep it how you have it set up watched to the end
If you see this, maybe think how painting the black on the mirror pink and leave the chrome to match the wheels
Trim the header panel and the lights will fit perfect a quick Google search will show you where you need to trim
Dudee this thing is looking rad! I dig the mirrors and badges the way they are! I wanna throw my opinion out there I think teal suspension and black axles would look good to offset the pink a little bit and black would match with the mirrors and badges and then do a teal starlight headliner and black king ranch interior with teal stitching and black door panels with teal stitching would be awesome just throwing ideas out there on this build 🤟🤟

Pretty sure the previous owner didn’t trim off the little nubs the old style headlights pop into and that’s why you’re not flush. Someone already mentioned it but there is detailed instructions on how to get the new headlights to fit on Riff Raff Diesels website.

Looks amazing so far. Keeping the mirrors black and chrome was the right move. Maybe one more small chrome accent on the front end, the tow hooks. They’re not large pieces and should blend well with the black and chrome Ford badge and headlight assembly. Outstanding job. Enjoy your weekend.
Tbh Ryan I think a chrome bullet antenna would really go well with the theme you’re going for. A small accent piece that makes a big difference!

Do the starlight headliner before you put the windshield in it will save you a lot of stress!! And I think you should paint the mirrors gloss black instead of textured black

Imo should of gone the newer bumper but besides that you are slaying it the badging is perfect with the mirrors get some chrome tow hooks

I think just the top chrome pieces on the mirrors pop em off and paint those then leave the rest black n chrome that would be nice

Just cut the little circle part under the bolt of the header panel. This will make the headlight flush to the fender👍🏽
