      The “chase” I agree was one of the dumber things in Kenobi. The fire though I interpreted differently; it didn’t stop Vader, in other media I think we’ve seen him walk through fire before. My interpretation was that Vader let Kenobi escape as a form of psychological torture. He wanted his old master to stew in that fear

    If I remember right, wasn’t Bane’s heart monitor still blinking? Implying that he’ll return soon… but that’s my biggest problem with modern Star Wars shows: they don’t like killing off characters. How many people have survived taking a lightsaber to the stomach at this point? In doing that so often, people will find it hard to believe when someone actually dies

    • @creatureTHEcritter

    • @ryandegrave8978
      @ryandegrave8978 8 дней назад +1

      That's a problem with "modern" Star Wars shows, is it? First off, what non-modern Star Wars shows are you comparing them to? Ewoks: The Battle for Endor? Or maybe you're thinking of the Ewoks and Droids cartoons? Whenever you're ready to argue that any of these shows are better than The Mandalorian or Andor, I'd love to hear it. While you consider the ridiculousness of this claim, I want you to also think about the secondary claim you're making, that Star Wars used to have no problem killing off major characters. Is that right? Like Obi-Wan? Except he came back immediately... as did Yoda. I guess we all assumed the Emperor died, but they didn't actually show it. Vader died, but then Lucas changed it so he came back. Vader actually kind of "died" and came back in the OT and the prequels, didn't he? Qui-Gonn also came back, as did his killer Darth Maul. That's 5 characters who were killed and then brought back, and the last one is the best because he wasn't just stabbed. He was cut in half by a lightsaber and survived. Vader had his limbs chopped off and suffered 3rd degree burns over 100% of his body, and he survived. I'd say Star Wars has a history of NOT killing main characters, or at least not letting them stay dead. The Jedi come back from death, and the Sith survive what should have killed them. Name 5 main characters who died and stayed gone.

    Why have these lists never pointed out both times that people have been run through with lightsabers and recovered like nothing happened? In Obi-Wan, Reva was stabbed by Darth Vader, that should have been the end of her. Instead, she gets up and flies to Tatooine, even beating Obi-Wan who had a head start on her! She doesn't even show the ill effects of her wound during the last battle. And then in Ahsoka, Sabine is stabbed and then in the next episode she basically has a giant band-aid and is competely OK. Just completely stupid all around.

    • @sweetchristmas101
      @sweetchristmas101 29 дней назад +1

      Actually, Reva is stabbed by Darth Vader - left for dead, grows up, stabs the Grand Inquisitor - leaves him for dead and then is later stabbed by Darth Vader - again.

    • @kokopelli_002
      @kokopelli_002 28 дней назад +1

      You can tell she's injured at the homestead. That's why she struggles against Owen and Beru. Her beating Obi-Wan to Tatooine is due to the fact that he wasn't heading to Tatooine. He was going to bring Leia home and got sidetracked by Vader. You really aught to pay more attention to the shows you're "watching", mate.

    • @ryandegrave8978

      How is getting stabbed with a lightsaber more deadly than being sliced in half, or having your limbs chopped off before suffering 3rd degree burns over 100% of your body? I find your expectation that it should be to be completely illogical, and I think you should explain that.

    For me, the dumbest thing in Star Wars tv was that 80%of all episodes were based on one plot formula .... Strong and Silent Type N1 goes somewhere, where he wants to find something or some information from strong and silent type N2. Strong and Silent Type N2(SSTN2) says he has the info but needs payment. Of course, SSTN1 is too .... "strong and silent" to care about money ... and they always get to some sort of agreement ... SSTN2 has a job that SSTN1 could do and if so that would be enough payment .... Friendship is made during the job ... the information almost always is underwelming.... very often they meet again somewhere down the line and act as if they know each other since childhood.

He couldn't simply make her disappear in plain view to that many people, so instead he hid her under his coat to make the illusion easier. That would explain why it was Inquisitor Reva who ended up catching them, since she is force sensitive and the illusion/mind trick fooling all the basic staff wasn't nearly strong enough to fool her.

    The dumbest thing about Star Wars Rebels was how frequently the Rebels did not kill the stormtroopers and imperials they went up against, instead just knocking them out or stunning them most of the time. Sure they killed bad guys some of the time, but they were fighting a guerilla war. You can't win such a war by refusing to diminish your enemy's numbers while fighting them. If this show hadn't aired on the Disney Channel originally, the Ghost crew's body count likely would have been much higher.

    You forgot to mention travelling via hyperspace, there is very little time taken to jump around the galaxy. Instead of taking days, weeks or months it's only taking a couple of hours. This made even worse in The Acolyte, with Jedi going from onside of the galaxy to the order in under a day. The galaxy is suppose to be huge
    With Leia's escape it's the case of it's not my problem. The Imperial uses fear to keep everyone in line, this also is in the Imperial forces as well. You do not want to get some unwanted attention if you stop someone of a higher rank so you carry about your own business until you ordered to do something. Imperial does not award individual thinking as it may get you killed as shown by Admiral Ozzel, even thou he's a idiot.
    Din Djarin didn't really have a choice about the N1 Starfighter at the start, but maybe he liked the thrill of flying it afterwards. Going from driving a small truck to a sports car.

    Making stormtroopers bad at fighting. I know it's an old trope that most people don't have a problem with... but when the bad guys are useless, then the good guys don't look particularly heroic when vanquishing them.
    The original trilogy showed stormtroopers laying waste to rebel troops in the Tantive IV, expertly herding the heroes through the Death Star and taking out Echo Base on Hoth. Even the scenes where they missed their target (such as Docking Bay 94 and Cloud City) it could be inferred that the presence of force sensitive opponents might have clouded their aim.
    In all the series, however, they just ran with the joke and neutered any threat the stormtroopers might have posed. Hardly gripping action when you don't feel any threat toward the main characters.

    In Return of the Jedi we were told they would learn a new definition of pain and suffering as they're slowly digested in the Sarlacc over a thousand years. At the time I said it would be 3 days based on the rule of 3's (3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food ), but in the Book of Boba Fett we learn it actually would only have been the first option of 3 minutes until you ran out air. Also, why even was there a stormtrooper in the Sarlacc to begin with? Did he think maybe the droids fell in? Also in Fett, the gourds they dig out of a sand dune. Certain desert regions have limited vegetation but sand dunes are literally giant piles of sand that blow around the desert like waves and there would be absolutely nothing growing in or on them. Then Boba Fett going back inside the Sarlacc to look for his armor. Why would Boba Fett remove what is not only his armor, but also his birthright in the Sarlacc? You'd think he would have remembered it weighing him down as he clawed his way out.

    So many of these can be explained if you actually look into it. Instead of anding fuel to the "Star Wars Fans" that hate everything that comes out, if something doesn't make sense, you can bet ya ass there is an artistic or even Canon reason somethings happen.

    8 out of 10 from Disney Star Wars. This is what you get with diversity hires instead of due to talent and merit.
    The story and characters can only be as smart as their writers and that how we got Disney Thrawn, the idea of what a stupid person thinks a smart one sounds like.

You didn't enjoy any of the Tales of the Jedi, Star Wars: Visions, Bad Batch? Just say you don't actually enjoy star wars and you're only like some of its content, then after that just sit down and be quiet.
