I would hazard a guess that this cutting ability does not last long, even cutting softer materials. All the stress will be on a very small point area, whereas using a traditional blade like in an exacto knife you use more of the edge of the blade for cutting. If this is a throw away product which it looks like it is then it is going to more waste plastic into the environment.
This just arrived today from Amazon. In a word, worthless. The blade is dull and the swivel is sticky. Couldn’t cut even standard paper cleanly. Avoid this product.
