As a Suns fan I loved watching Walter play, and if I remember right on the night before one of his rehab trips he dropped around 45 points and then entered rehab. It was a tough time to follow the Suns. We used to get 2-for-1 coupons for tickets for their games, you and a friend could go watch a game for $15.00. You'd spend more on beer than the ticket. Watching Walter, Alex English and George Gervin back then was a treat, all 3 could fill it up.

Young man, you don’t know much. Micheal have said on numerous occasions that Walter Davis, Julius Erving and David Thompson influenced his game but Walter was his idol. He also had Krause attempt to trade for him but Portland offered more just to prevent him from pairing up w/ Jordan. After getting him they hardly played him because they already had Drexler and Terry Porter so that explains his low scoring output in Portland. Just because you probably wasn’t old enough to remember, doesn’t mean Mike didn’t say this. He did and he’s also the sole reason myself and other basketball fanatics that know even knows about Walter Davis. Live and learn more.

When I saw throwback footage of the Sonics 1978-79 championship season (but also their highlights from their series vs the Suns), I was WOWED by what Walt Davis USED to be able to do. Just made it here after seeing the news of his passing. One of the great Suns of the 70s/early 80s along with “The Hawk” Connie Hawkins, Alvin Adams, and Paul Westphal. Silky smooth player. RIP

This cam, your should do a video on x-man, what if he stayed with Seattle? What if he stayed with New York for 2 or 3 years, why he leave Boston to go overseas, what if he went to the heat instead of New Jersey nets. He could of won rookie of the year over Patrick Ewing number 4 overall pick in 1985. Famous bold head. What if new York never chose Charles smith over him in 1992

@@samgunz1 Yea that might be why they were able to run and gun more but without the drugs they could have focus more on shooting.

Even without coke, rumor has it amphetamines were popped before games frequently by the old timers. 🤷🏾‍♀️
