I gained 60 pound in menopause and due to heart meds. I had yet to find a beginner trampoline workout where I was able to do the exercise without losing balance, losing form and hurting my joints and entire body. This is how out of shape I am. All beginner rebounder videos I have seen are already lifting legs in the air and or do not incorporate hiit to rest and recover and seem very advanced to me. This is the first one I found that is truly beginner. I suspect it is hard for an advanced trampolinist to teach to the lowest in the room. So thank you for this. I want to challenge myself but I also need to work up to more advanced moves slowly.

TY for your encouragement & caring to those of us who haven’t given up, but struggling with weight loss & fitness. Weight can spiral out of control with side effects of medication, low immune system, depression, hormonal changes, and so on….. Sometimes we just need a helping hand. The only concerns I have getting started is whether or not the G-force puts too much compression on the spine while going through chiropractic adjustments. It’s definitely less than on a solid surface. Just wondering what precautions to take, if any. TY for giving your time to help others. It’s how we all get through life. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi there! Jumping of any kind does place some compression on the spine. The good news with rebounding is that your feet never have to actually leave the mat. There is so much gentle bouncing that can be done and still reap all the benefits. I would advise checking with your doctor and/or chiropractor if you have health concerns. You might check out some of my rebounder walk workouts to see what I mean about staying connected to the mat.
Just starting and trying to get the hang of things. Thank you. Loved the clearity and pace of this. The side profiles help also as good reminders of form. Much love
I just bought a rebounder and love it. Your videos are my go to as I feel that you provide safe fun workouts. I do have a knee that hurts when I jump and wondered what brand and type of compression sleeve you wear. Hi there! I've been able to strengthen my knee to the point that I no longer need a sleeve, but when I did wear one it was this one from Amazon: www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl

Hi there!! Tons of videos on my channel with the handlebar. You can certainly still utilize this workout and use the bar as needed. 🙂 Most of my videos can be done with or without. Thanks for watching!
Hi there!! I actually don't have to wear compression sleeves anymore. Rebounding has really helped strengthen my knees! The ones I used to wear are in my Amazon store here: www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl
Do you also have a program for people with a herniated disc? I have a herniated disc in my lower back and don't want to jump and twist because i think it would worsen my condition. This program here looks great. I will certainly give it a try. 😊
No, I don't have a specific program for herniated discs. I do have a rebounder "walk workout" playlist here. Perhaps some of these might help. Always best to consult a physician. Thanks! ruclips.net/p/PLLAFfYE-X47FHEIBTQl0Uqj81cQc1jenb
So glad to have found you. I am brand new to this. I am a body builder but have a bad right knee. Does the compression sleeve just give that knee support? I love your channel.
Hi! Yes, wearing the compression sleeve really helped, but I don't need it anymore. Rebounding helped strengthen the muscles around my knees and now I'm good. :) Thanks for checking out my channel. I'm live 4 times a week here on RUclips if you ever want to join in.
Hello Earthand owl, sending love from India. I have chronic knee issues. Aged 51, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 10 kgs over weight. I had a cuboid injury 4 weeks back and it still hurts a lot. I bought a rebounder after watching your videos. Can I start the beginner versions with unhealed cuboid. Can't stop my excitement to step on and rebounder.
Thank you. Enjoyed this. What are your thoughts on swinging arms in the opposite direction the leg is going? Or, similarly, moving the opposite arm as the leg moves? This type of opposite motion, as with crawling” is said to increase neuron pathways.
You are absolutely right! I actually have a whole series with cross-lateral movement for improved balance, coordination and fall prevention. Linking the first video here: ruclips.net/video/T21R6VlBQp8/видео.html
Does anyone know whether this helps to lose weight? Ozempic landed me in the hospital with a very serious stomach obstruction. At 67 and with bad knees there is a lot I sadly can't do. The last two years I've had four procedures and noticed core issues and weaknesses. I'm wondering whether there are any types of knee braces you can recommend. Thanks for your help.
Hi there! Many people do rebound as part of their weight loss plan. Have you used compression sleeves on your knees? It's really important to use proper form and start slowly. Have a conversation with your doctor if you're worried about whether this is right for you.
The ones I have are in my Amazon storefront here. I don't actually need them anymore. The muscles around my knees have really been strengthened by rebounding! www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl
@EarthOwl is this routine on the 350 pro model too? Thank u! I got the 350 but it hurts my knees i am going to upgrade to the 350 pro model and see how that feels. ( i am short 5'1" and weigh 149 lbs . Trying to lose more weight!😅) thank u for this awesome video!
No worries!! Rebounding really works your calf muscles and it can take time to get used to it. Some people start with just a minute or two. Thanks for watching!
Very new to rebounding, I'm 70 years old and do some other exercises. I find this very hard. Trying to keep my balance and do the bouncing properly. Obviously I need a lot more practice. How do you know if the platform needs to be tighten up or should it be loose?
Greetings! So glad you left this comment. This class is one of my more intense offerings, so it definitely is a challenge for beginners. I would suggest starting with some of my more beginner friendly videos such as the "lymph love" series, the 3 minute series, or the 5 minute series. They are all right there on my RUclips channel home page. As far as the tension setting of your rebounder. Do you feel you're sinking too low in the middle when you bounce down?
Nothing special about those socks. They are just plain socks from Amazon. I do have some grip socks that I recommend here: www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl
Calf and ankle issues are pretty common for new rebounders. Lots of stretching and you may have to take breaks or build up to the amount of time you want to rebound. I also like foam rolling and other forms of myofascial release.
I'm recovering post up 1 year from a acute meniscus tear. I continue to struggle with swelling and tightness. Just one minute into this I feel a lot of foot strain and calf burn. Is this normal?
@@neena_gems5223 What you are experiencing is definitely common for beginners. I would recommend stretching and myofascial release. If your trampoline has an adjustable tension you might try a softer setting. I have some videos in my private Facebook group with stretch recommendations. It’s called “Rebounding for Beginners and Seniors”.
Hi there! It's in the Beginner Progression Program playlist. Here is the direct link. There is another "bad knees" workout in the Lymph Love playlist. Let me know how they work for you! ruclips.net/video/KYYSuMnaSlg/видео.html
Do people with bad knees (cant take uneven pressure) better off with a softer rebounder or stronger tighter one? I am loosing my calf muscles qnd leg strength from not being able to walk very much, and then walking flat footed (not noticeably pushing off the ball of my foot) when I do walk. So would like to see if doing the rebounder would help, and not just make my bad knee blow up.
Too soft and it can be unstable for joints. Too firm and it can be painful. I really recommend the models on my website. They have adjustable tension and you can find the right bounce for you. www.earthandowl.com I use the 350Pro
It can be. I have a playlist on my channel that features my good friend who lost 100lbs. She talks about it here: ruclips.net/video/DD3wF1Ue2oo/видео.html
It would be so much easier to concentrate if you didn’t have that, I don’t know what to call it but where your pictures are cut up on the screen. It’s just hard to focus.
I did that so I could be as close to the camera as possible so you can see my body movements well. I have lots of other videos without the close up view.
Greetings! No problem. I have lots of others that are at a lower intensity. You might try one of my Grandma Helen videos here. She is 89. The Lymph Love playlist is also a good place to start. ruclips.net/p/PLLAFfYE-X47Fe1E-Zv7AYv2KoJn7iNhkY

Thanks for watching!
You'd have to ask your doctor to be sure.
I need to be holding on with both hands!
Does anyone have a recommendation on which rebounder to purchase? I’m 65 and love that this seems low impact!
All the rebounders I recommend are on my website www.earthandowl.com
Really enjoyed it! Made me feel like a dancer 😁
That is one of my favorite things about rebounding!! It feels like dancing! Thanks for watching!
I love this workout
Thank you!!
That was good for a beginner like me.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much (감사합니다)
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Can do it on the floor but unsteady on rebounder for the most of the moves.
Great Workout! Can I inquire what brand of supportive knee sleeve you use? I need something. Thank you.
Thanks! The brand is U-flex. I have a link on my website under the "shop" tab. Takes you to amazon. :)
Liked it!!
Yay! Thank you!
Which compression sleeves do you wear?
The ones I have are in my Amazon storefront here. I don't actually need them anymore. The muscles around my knees have really been strengthened by rebounding! www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl
I think this is perfect beginner!😎
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. What strength are are the bungee cords adjusted to?
Hmmm....I have several trampolines and they are all adjusted slightly different. For bad knees, I'd go with a softer tension setting. Thanks!
A bit ashamed of myself for having to take a break at the 9 minute mark. I had no idea this would be a calf burner
No worries!! Rebounding really works your calf muscles and it can take time to get used to it. Some people start with just a minute or two. Thanks for watching!
Same! ❤
What compression sleeves do you wear? Link please
They are here in my Amazon store in the personal care section: www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl
Great workout for beginners.. Shoes on or shoes off… !!
With knee issues, I find that shoes work a little better. Try both ways and see what works best for you!
Enjoy your videos; do u recommend gym shoes for rebounding?
I typically recommend trying barefoot first, but if you find you prefer shoes, that is fine too!
what type of shoes/ sneakers is best for the trampoline
I would try barefoot. If that doesn’t work for you, I like Saucony tennis shoes, but there are many good brands.
I really appreciated see you from the side!
I try to remember and turn to the side occasionally in my workouts! Thanks so much for watching!
What brand sock are you wearing? They look thick?
Nothing special about those socks. They are just plain socks from Amazon. I do have some grip socks that I recommend here: www.amazon.com/shop/earthowl
When I'm doing the health bounce after a full minute my calves begin to cramp and I have to go to a walk or other motion. Thoughts?
Calf and ankle issues are pretty common for new rebounders. Lots of stretching and you may have to take breaks or build up to the amount of time you want to rebound. I also like foam rolling and other forms of myofascial release.
My thighs
start to spasm, so I slow way down
Great video. BTW you’re in fabulous shape.
Thank you!
Thank you for this. I really like your outfit too.
My pleasure! Thanks so much for watching!
How do you get the rebounder with the bar?
From my website www.earthandowl.com
I'm recovering post up 1 year from a acute meniscus tear. I continue to struggle with swelling and tightness. Just one minute into this I feel a lot of foot strain and calf burn. Is this normal?
Are you brand new to rebounding? What brand of rebounder are you using?
I've had it for a long time, never used it. It's a good one, upper bounce is the brand name. yes new to rebounding.
@@EarthOwl Machrus Upper Bounce 50" Mini Trampoline with Adjustable T-Shaped Handrail - Hexagonal Rebounder Fitness Trampoline
Good workout for me.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching!
Is this okay for MCL tear? so sick of no exercise
You'd need to consult your physician. If you get the green light to begin, be sure to start slowly and with the form tutorial.
Can someone share the second video she references, 'Bad Knees part 2', I cant seem to find it in the video library. Thanks!
Hi there! It's in the Beginner Progression Program playlist. Here is the direct link. There is another "bad knees" workout in the Lymph Love playlist. Let me know how they work for you! ruclips.net/video/KYYSuMnaSlg/видео.html
you are such a treasure.
Thank you so much!!!!! Deeply appreciated!
Where do I get that music
I use epidemic sound for copyright free music.
@@EarthOwl thank you just ordered a bellicon rebounder will use the music when it arrives watching from north west England
What trampoline are you using?
umpsport 350Pro on my website here: www.earthandowl.com
Do people with bad knees (cant take uneven pressure) better off with a softer rebounder or stronger tighter one?
I am loosing my calf muscles qnd leg strength from not being able to walk very much, and then walking flat footed (not noticeably pushing off the ball of my foot) when I do walk. So would like to see if doing the rebounder would help, and not just make my bad knee blow up.
Too soft and it can be unstable for joints. Too firm and it can be painful. I really recommend the models on my website. They have adjustable tension and you can find the right bounce for you. www.earthandowl.com I use the 350Pro
so brand new. you’re doing it without shoes?
@@leighanntrevillian1662 I normally wear shoes. I didn’t for the first few years, but find that shoes help my knees.
Thanks,but better without music.
Is rebounder good for losing weight?
❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🇨🇦
are you wearing grip socks
Yes
Way too much for this senior.
Greetings!
Thank you so much 💓
My pleasure! Happy to help. Thanks for watching!
