Just got my 100% P&T two days ago, and I got out July 16th. Thank you for the videos and knowledge to go to medical one last time before I got out. A lot of the younger generation doesn’t realize how much that can make a difference. I’m set for life now 💪
@@jacksonp32176 a lot of the things I was seen for plus I had a hip surgery which helped the cause because I had to go to medical for other things. So basically it snowballed but yes I gave them a list of everything. Are you still active ?
I only submitted 1 claim, PTSD. Was approved at 70% w/ TDIU P&T so compensated at 100% and qualified for all of the State benefits w/ property tax & free license plates.
I just went from nothing to 90% almost 11 years after I left the army. No medical history or prior diagnosis from the army or civilian. All I did was write a personal statement and had my ex wife, mother, old platoon sergeant, and supervisor at work also write one. I understood that only thing that really matters in a C&P exam is how your claimed disabilities affect your job and family/friend relationships and that’s how you get your ratings. I still have a few thing to claim under PAC ACT, so hopefully early 2025 I’ll be 100%
@@TheCivDiv trust me I was one of those guys who never went to medical in the military. I have nothing in my files, I don’t even have a PCP on the civilian side.. I simply went into my mental health exam explained my symptoms and how they affected my work, connection to my divorce, and connection to me not being around family/friends. The C&P examiner diagnosed me Major Depressive Disorder with Anxious Distress on the DBQ and they granted me 70% for that.. I went to my exam for Migraines simply explained how I had ringing in my ears and had been getting bad headaches over the years about once or twice a week and had my work supervisor write a letter about how I miss days of work because of it. They granted me 50% and added 10% for tinnitus. (I think the tinnitus was a given because I was Artillery in the army)… I filed January this year and got 90% two days ago
Passed the five year mark. I was told by a VSR when opening my file. I met this person at a liquor store and they wanted to help me get to 100. They said i was not originally awarded 100 due to having a part time job. I’m going to file for increase when the new VASRD comes out.
How do we find what ratings are static? I am 100% P&T with no future visits.Should I even worry about the static? I just don’t want to get caught off guard and get a decrease.
Thank you Clay I have been waiting for you to talk about this. Do you know how often the VA prefers you to see a mh counselor to provide evidence for your mh disability?
How do we find what ratings are static? I am 100% P&T should I even worry about the static? I just don’t want to get caught off guard and get a decrease.
No decision letters I have received or other ones I've seen from colleagues have ever stated RFE or Routine Future Exams, although some have gone for exams. Nor have any stated static. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the rating code sheet should contain information for static conditions, which is not provided with the decision letter, and you need to request your C-File in order to view that.
What about hysterectomy? I’ve been denied twice second time was a high level review. I never had a c&p for this and was told I had cystitis when I first entered the service which had nothing to do w/my ovaries or tubes… which ended up w/ endometriosis and eventually a hysterectomy.
I don’t have a rfe date in my decision letter. In your video you state “if it’s not there then I don’t have one” but in the same breath am I right to assume my condition is then static? FYI, I did take the liberty of requesting my c-file two month ago as well to see if that will tell me.
If I have 100% P&T and file for secondaries and direct SC claims and they award a percentage to those claims, are they less likely to request rfe's for them if I'm not getting any additional compensation from them since I'm already at 100% except, some of those other claims % might entitle me to SMC's though?. Sorry, long question.
@@westbows Would you be able to answer the question if I expounded on it? It was phrased as a hypothetical question and I used some abbreviations that I thought Clay would know. Thanks for trying.
When you’re 100% P&T in order for the VA to have a RFE that decision must lower your rating. Being 100% P&T that wouldn’t be possible with your new claims. So no RFE. - Clay
Clay i had my MH appointment yesterday and the provider at the va ask if i wanted her to just let my reg docat va to continue with my Mh. I said sure. Im 100%pt do you think i need to continue seeing the MH doctor? To protect my %
Had my PTSD screening exam yesterday and came out with a triple dx of ptsd / anxiety / depression. Would love to hear an answer to this question as well!
I'm just a guy on the Internet, but everything I've seen and what I personally am planning to do, is that the VA loves medical evidence. Show the VA that you are continually seeking treatment and trying to improve. And unfortunately if you don't improve your regular checks will show your struggles and symptoms are still there. The VA will have medical evidence that your condition has not improved. If you skip future appointments by VA logic they will assume you are improving and not deserving of your rating and will sooner or later schedule you for a reexamination. I want to be cautious so yes, I will have monthly video calls and send secure messages when appropriate. Once you hit the 20 year mark it sounds like at that point they will leave you alone and you can live in peace.
Currently 19 years AD, retiring at 24 years, havent been going to sickcall (even though I work in medical), have been sucking it up for years. Was wondering after getting diagnosed with a condition. Can documenting my conditions on my annual periodic health assessments every year be sufficient to show chronic and current medical evidence?
@Adam-724 my decision letter had it for some reason guess it depends on the rater. But my lawyer had it and sent me my cfile on request. U can freedom of information act it but takes like 6 months. VSO may be able to print it out for u if u want it. Some act like they can't others say fck it here lol
My last claim letter just said continues. I'm 100% but not p&t, 75 years old with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with chronic B-cell leukemia. I don't understand why! I can't get better only slowly (hopefully) worse.
Hey Big Dog! 😂 For me personally that was the best video you have done. Very well explained and informative. I do have a question if you got time to answer. If a disability is static would a secondary fall under static also? Thanks for the solid info and keeping us veterans up to speed. 🫡🇺🇸
Thank you clarifying what I have been asking. My VSO has assured me I will be granted P&T when the reduction of my PC rating becomes final on Nov 1st. I already have enough static conditions totaling 100% to continue at Total. I’ve just been looking for someone to back up what he has said. Now is that something that will happen automatically or is there a decision process? I’m 75 years old and I’m ready to relax. 🫡 Thanks for what you do!

Request your code sheet at a regional office via VERA in person appointment. You can also ask via ask.va.gov if your ratings are static.
Static means it's permanent, the P in P&T. You don't need to worry about it
If you are awarded a static disability, can a re-examination remove the "static" designator?

Any time you file secondary to another condition they will give you a c and p exam for that condition
If you are 100pt you really need to think before putting in new claims. Weigh the pros and cons.
Also your question overall does not make sense. You need to get educated.

It would help for diagnosis but not help for severity. Getting treatment will help with severity. Good luck

Unfortunately with CLL there is no remission. The "c" is chronic I'll be visiting every 3 months and be under treatment forever.
