Made it to the end great information. After 11 years in the service I’ve been referred to medical board for cervical radiculopathy. Wish me luck everyone.
I made it to the end. I’ve gone from 30% to 60% by following your advice and filing for increases. Now I’m going for the 100. Secondary claims for mental health.
Everything you say is very helpful I waited 38 years before I filed a claim because I thought someone else deserved it until I couldn’t work anymore because of PFAS thank you for everything you do
@@sandyherkey Radioman at Navcamslant At Norfolk navy base the water had PFAS in from the runoff of the airbase was there from 1984-1988. I started getting sick in 2015 had my thyroid removed in 2016 and never been right again they said I have Hashimoto disease and have been sick ever since my wife was a nurse director and did research over the years in 2022 I filled for disability fm VA. I ran restaurants for 30 years wasn’t able to work 16 hr days started doing security and in may of this year I was having problems with being tired all the time and falling asleep was having a lot of pain and migraines and was missing work started going to VA they got me on cpap during the study I stop breathing 77 times in a hour for 7 hours now they are doing CT scans and other tests for migraines I get them 5-6 days a week
A.F. girl here-Made it to the end. Thanks for your Channel and the VA AI. Suggestion. Was awarded 50% this summer was not prepared for the pandora box of emotions and memories that came with the process. Finding resistance I think because I got out a while ago. But will take it one step at a time- again thanks for the time you give to this channel.
Going through the steps to submit secondary VA disability claims via a VA related organization. Just finished (to the end) your Automatic Secondary Claim Every Time You File These VA Disability Claims For Higher VA Ratings. The information is golden. I never realized how many different issues I have that are secondary to my original VA Disability Claim. THANK YOU!!!
I made it to the end and appreciate all the support. Many thanks for keeping us motivated. My first claim was submitted in 2006 and was rated at 10% in 2008. All C&P exams were done at VA hospitals, clinics by VA doctors at that time. It was easier to follow-up and keep appointments. Now I have to travel over 30 miles for a C&P examination, a fellow Vet encouraged me to stay in the fight for my deserved compensation. All of my #1s and 2s were documented with medical evidence. One of my disabilities was reduced from 30% to 0% because the medication had made my condition better- no compensation was now warranted. However, I had more than enough for my new rating of 100% P&T (from 80%). Many thanks to all and stay in the fight.
I made it! You really are a sweetheart! You're a huge help to more veterans than you realize...I take this info and spread it to the veterans who don't watch
I made to the end! Thank you from a former Devil Dog. I have learned so much from you! The FSAD issue--never heard of that. So much emphasis on ED, and none of my VA clinicians have mentioned this, as a secondary to PTSD/MST or Depression. Not fair!! Thank you for the insight, Devil Dog.
I made it to the end! Honestly, just know that your channel is life changing! Your hard work is helping us so much to reach the compensation we deserve! And all free! Wish you and your family a long, joyful life, and hopefully, you can keep the motivation to continue helping many other veterans!
I stayed to the end. Urinary is what I was seen for at my last C&P exam plus I wear adult diapers which for me is 60%. I got this information from you a few months ago. My exam went well so I should hear soon. Thanks Clay your information has helped me a lot. I’m currently 70% dissatisfied. I just got 50% for sleep apnea. I’ve had 13 C&P exams and most eventually got a result. A few were secondary conditions. I just used my VA medical records and nothing else. No Nexus no DBQ. I did this on my own from the books I read and information from you tube.
@glennfoster7288 how/what/where did you get the info for wearing adult diapers? I need to do this for my husband who has a disability rating of 30% for his heart.
I made it the end thanks Clay. I’ve learned a lot from you. I appreciate it. I’ve gone from 20% to 40% to 70% just this year and have 3 more claims to make it to 100%.
Thanks!! Made it to the end. You’re always my go-to source for all VA claim related content. Can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate what you do! 🙏🏾
Hey, don’t use for information. That was really helpful to look at all of the secondary conditions. I’m currently working on some secondary conditions right now and I’m at 90% and I saw several of the secondaries on there that I’ve been awarded already to include high blood pressure and Left ventricular hydropathy working on sleep apnea claim now and hopefully that will take me to the hundred percent, but also I didn’t realize you’re in the frequency was another one so thank you for this video. This is really informative. I really appreciate appreciate all you’re doing to educate veterans and helping us really understand how to advocate for ourselves.
Clay, I was fortunate the VA rater automatically combined Bi-lateral Radiculopathy to Lower Lumbar Strain but no Bi-Lateral for Cervical Strain especially my injury caused a fusion in the neck. As far as my 70% MH prescribed Zoloft, haven't filed ED but I will now since I made it to the end. As always, you're the best! Keep up the good Intel...
Outstanding presentation. I'm a retired Marine rated for knee and lumbar issues. I underwent emergency surgery at a private facility to repair the knee several years ago. Since then I have been diagnosed with hypertension and been put on meds. I've also developed instability in my other knee and hip as well as numbness in my extremities. I have not filed for an increase or for secondaries as it reminds me of how difficult it was just to get service connected in the first place. At age 62 I'm not sure I'm up for the drama. In any event, thanks for keeping us veterans informed. Semper Fi, Ken
Based on what is said here, there is no reason why you should NOT push for an increase and why you’re at it, submit any other claim that can be connected. - Clay
Do it! It’s worth it! Fight the fight, especially as It’s much harder the older you get. we are currently trying to get my father the help he needs. He served in Vietnam. And waited until this year to try for 100%.
Clay, thanks so much for bringing value to the veteran's community. Like most who watch your channel, I'm going through the process. I used to work in FFX and live close to you. I hope we can meet one day. Again, great work and thanks.
Hey I made it to the end, Clay please keep doing what you are doing. You are making a difference and are educating Vets!! I already sub'd and joined and will continue to support you in all you do! Thank you again!!
Always informative ! I am a longtime subscriber and as such watch all videos to the end. 70 years old and awarded 10% in 1980. Got denied numerous times for increases ( VSOs not helpful). I’m feeling a lot more confident about filing for increases and secondaries since watching these videos. Thanks sooo much !!!
Made it to the end! The information you put out is valuable as always. As an active-duty Sailor that's approaching retirement this information helped me with what I should be addressing. Thanks for your help as always.
Good information. Stayed to the end and it was very insightful. I have been out for going on 35 years and never thought I would ever qualify for anything that had to do with a disability. Heck I had never sought any medical care from the VA until 2023. Always thought if I had my own insurance I shouldn’t gum up the VA since I figured there are more vets worse off than myself. I guess I should have been looking into this long ago.
My husband felt the same way. When we first started taking him for cancer treatment he would say I feel like I am taking resources from Veterans than need it more than me. I had to convince him that was a benefit he earned as a Veteran himself. He applied and finally got with the help of a VA attorney that specializes in disabilities. It was a long fight but it can be done. He applied for disability benefits for me. He knew it would me when he was gone. We worked to get his disability up to 100% and when he passed his doctor listed secondary cause of death to be one of his disabilities which was all true. Because he did all of those things I get a check from the VA for widow benefits. This has been very beneficial to my financial well-being. You keep fighting for what is yours. Hope everything works out for you.
Made it to the end, glad I did, as every time I look into my spreadsheet, and while listening to you, I just take another look into where have I covered my bases, what could I still be submitting etc... This review is critical to me, as I know what evidence I need to focus on next. Thanks Clay!
Hey love the video , made it to the end. I’ve been at 10% for 14 years . I just realized none of my dependents were listed , and I’ve been struggling . I went through active addiction when I got home , I’ve been clean for 13 years but it wrecked me . I’ve started two businesses , the first one the market changed and after 4 years was no longer profitable , then I more recently started an hvac company and it’s not growing at the rate that I can really hire people, and the work is getting extremely hard on me. I’m only 42, but I had low testosterone for god knows how long and it messed me up, bad wrists, a shoulder surgery . Just makes the job difficult . Problem is , I haven’t put anything towards retirement , I had at one point and had an emergency and had to take it all out . They gave me 10% tinnitus and then gave me a non service connected disability pension as well. Still don’t quite get exactly what happened but I didn’t complain, it totals around 1200 a month. Well, that ain’t gonna cut retirement lol. I feel like being in business is the only way and it’s busting my balls
Made it to the end. I got my 100% P&T now thanks to going up on my SSD to 50% now. I did get denied migraines, GERD, and other things that i have. But for right now i am bless to get my 100% P&T.
Hi, I really appreciate you helping all us vets out, the way you do. You are such a hero for that! I just got to 93% (rated 90% for 3rd time) and am so frustrated with this VA math, chisling away at my numbers to prevent me from getting my hundred percent. I've never been so close, and I really seem to be challenged at getting over the finish line. I haven't been able to work for 7 years, because of all my problems, and the VA is so stingy about awarding me even a TDIU. I have 4 more claims that have been hanging for so long, in the deciding process, and I feel like nobody is doing anything to get my case moving. I'm not sure if I've done anything right at all. Hopefully things improve for me and my family soon.
Yep made it to the end. Thanks as I was trying to find out about my PTSD and what would be secondaries to it, watch you and vet info always to the end.
I made it to the end! Thank you!! I have learned so much from you. I discharged 29 years ago and never got above 20% with legitimate, real pain. Hoping to make some key adjustments and CONNECTIONS. Thank you again!!
Retired in 1996 with a 40% total disability rating, along with a 0% for bunions. Fast forward-in June I filed for an increase on my swollen/painful bunion. This week I received my decision letter…50% combined! 🎉 (20% for my bunion). Never knew about secondary conditions (plantar fasciitis/osteoarthritis) until I start this journey and learned so much from watching your channel. Thank YOU!
I made it to the end of this video. I usually always watch all of your videos! Thank you for all of your help and also for all that you're doing by helping the Veteran Community. As a fellow Veteran, thanks. PS: #4 was ED, secondary to Mental Health
Clay your the man! Keep up the good work/keep up the fire in Marine speak! Us Army Tanker retiring after 22yrs. of service your videos have helped me in the BDD process to prepare for my C&P exams which all went well about a week ago here in Colorado as I went in prepared with medical evidence and knowledge of what they were looking to hear from me. Thank you!
I made it to the end. I watch all your videos including the ones with Jay all the way to the end so that utube channel will push it up front so other veterans can see all that you do to help us with VA disability claims. Thank you
Thank you for the information on Secondary Claims. I thoroughly enjoy your channel because you give direct, factual information on how the disability claims process works.
I'm trying to get ED connected to lower back, mental health, nerve pain and medications. Also, Bruxism as secondary to mental health. Trying to get that extra SMC. Thank you for everything you do, Clay. You've helped me so much I was able to submit my own claim as my VSO was MIA.
I stayed to the end but not because you mentioned it in the beginning. Great information! I've been struggling with my claims and VA for years. I'm hoping this information will put me over the hump before I commit myself.
Thanks .... 10% tinnitus, 60% ptsd. Got rating at 64, after leaving job , telling big boss to go fxxk off. 45 year marriage about over .... now my tinnitus is so bad, 24/7 of hissing and high-pitched noise is driving me crazy. Not sure if it's too late for secondaries. I'm now 70.
I’m 60 years old my tinnitus is just driving me fucking crazy and they say it ain’t nothing. It’s all day when I go to sleep. It’s screaming at me when I go to sleep wake wake up it’s screaming at me.
@@ed01zoget a sleep machine or iPhone app… i wake up middle of the night, EVERY NIGHT, and have to play it through my headphones to try to get back to sleep
Great advice, as always! I just got rated 40% for several lower back issues that began in service (DDD, spinal fusion, etc.). I also got another 20% for osteoarthritis in both hips. Waiting for my radiculopathy decision, hopefully this week. I’m hoping the DDD - degenerative disc disease, with radiculopathy, gives me the magic 70/40 combo that will give me TDIU! I’m also waiting for deck logs to prove my hypertension under the Pact Act, and then I’ll file for urinary frequency. Thanks for the help Clay! You are the best, of many, providing this service! Btw: I stayed to the end and will be filing for Somatic Symptom Disorder and anxiety for my bilateral tinnitus.
Semper Fi made it to the end. Learned alot from you. I'm at 80% which I just got rated from 50% by adding ptsd. My VSO is pushing the higher level reviews because they didn't list that they used any of the evidence we sent in as what they used for a decision. So hoping for the 100 club but learned to look for that common mistake by you, so I told my VSO. Be blessed
Made it again to the end I’m following with a VA VSO and fine tuning my claim. Vietnam vet , VAdoctor just made two weeks ago diagnosis for PTSD and with pact act and pancreas not working and having had a laminectomy will re apply for spinal conditions from X posture to toxin affecting nerves. Keep up the good work.
I made it to the end! I have listened to several of your videos. We are new to filing a claim. We didn’t even know this was a possibility. This information would have helped 25 years ago.
Thanks, old jarhead is learning to jump thu the hoops. Just recently found 53 year old letter that mother saved. Date and event concerning ptsd stressor from 1971. Would of never got this far without you
Hi, fellow Leatherneck! I gained knowledge from this video and ready to make a new VA Claim. I liked this video and subscribed to your channel. Thank you and Semper Fi...
Word. There is a ton of information out there but I have a concise playlist of what veterans "NEED TO KNOW" here: ruclips.net/p/PLIWAR_j02jlG03cDn-a0u-vQiPfzG0fg9 - Clay
Made it to the end, including the bonus bonus tips. At 90, just did an MRI after years of complaining to find: Varying degrees of lumbar spinal and foraminal stenosis. Will be submitting new claims, using the methods you've been sharing, hopeful this will put me at 100%/TDUI. Thanks for your detailed but easy to follow vids big dog. Essayons.
Made it to the end. Been very helpful. I would also update ankle with back secondary because of changing your walking style to counter ankle pain. Great channel by the way.
I made it to the end. Thanks to you and Jason from the info tap, I was able to get my denials reversed and made it to 80%. Thanks for all that yall do for us veterans.
I made to the end. Good info. I’m 70 and just learned about getting va disabiiity. I’m a 40% and am looking to get upgraded. I wish I had started this 40 years ago.
Thanks for the info. I stayed to the end again and subscribed. Good info, I stayed for the second-second bonus. Quick note: Most of us don't know "Why our X stems from Y." Yes, easy to say nexus, but we don't know why they are linked.
#4 ED I watched that far and all the way. Well I'm probably going to have to edit it again. but bonus bonus and now I just had to tell you, had you posted this 20 years ago, you could've saved me a lot of nightmares. Where were you? lol. all the way to the end, liked, commented and already subscribed.
Stayed for the bonus squared. I love the way you break down the process so eloquently but straightforward enough to easily follow. My dad has hypertension rated 20%. He has frequent urination during the night and also takes meds for his prostrate. Thanks ... I'll soon be submitting a secondary claim on his behalf for urinary frequency.
Made it to the end. And now subscribing to the channel. Love the information. I’m rated 80% and have been struggling getting that extra 20. Hopefully this works.

Check the 38cfr for rating criteria and see if you have any room for increases
Yep made it to the end. Thanks as I was trying to find out about my PTSD and what would be secondaries to it, watch you and vet info always to the end.
I made it to the end! Thank you!! I have learned so much from you. I discharged 29 years ago and never got above 20% with legitimate, real pain. Hoping to make some key adjustments and CONNECTIONS. Thank you again!!
Stayed. Mental health and ED. Thank you for all you do brother. Have a expodited claim in step 5 right now. Thanks to you, Jason, and kmd89
same here 5/8 waiting for them to do the damn thing. Luckily i put in an intent a long time ago before submitting. the waiting game is real. John
@@militaryretirementpodcast i know brother. It definitely sucks. Good luck and i hope you get what you have earned. Keep your head up brother
Thank YOU!
Congrats to you and again, THANK YOU!
- Clay
I stayed to the end. Thank you for all you do for us veterans.

Thank you!
Simple stupid is the way

I made it to the end. I watch all your videos including the ones with Jay all the way to the end so that utube channel will push it up front so other veterans can see all that you do to help us with VA disability claims. Thank you
THANK YOU!
- Clay
The fourth secondary is foot/leg injury pattern. I'm a subscriber, thanks for keeping us informed!
Thank you for the information on Secondary Claims. I thoroughly enjoy your channel because you give direct, factual information on how the disability claims process works.
Hey thanks! I hope all of this stuff helps
- Clay
I'm trying to get ED connected to lower back, mental health, nerve pain and medications. Also, Bruxism as secondary to mental health. Trying to get that extra SMC. Thank you for everything you do, Clay. You've helped me so much I was able to submit my own claim as my VSO was MIA.
Evidence is the way and this is most important
- Clay
Yeah, no one can understand our issues. They thing its all in our head .... well fuck yeah, its in our dam brain!!! @@ed01zo
All those suck it up suffer in silence the military taught is causing these , hopefully it’s not too late
sorry there is no 60 percent ptsd ok
Solid and best of luck to you
- Clay
Came for the 3 conditions. Stayed for the bonus of the bonus and the theoreticals. Already clicked those buttons mentioned months ago. And thanks.

I made to the end. Good info. I’m 70 and just learned about getting va disabiiity. I’m a 40% and am looking to get upgraded. I wish I had started this 40 years ago.
You are the best! Keep the information coming.
Thanks for the info. I stayed to the end again and subscribed. Good info, I stayed for the second-second bonus.
Quick note: Most of us don't know "Why our X stems from Y." Yes, easy to say nexus, but we don't know why they are linked.

Made it to the end. Great information and thanks for always keeping us up to date and informed. Great job!
Made it to the end. Thanks
ED was the bonus, THANK YOU DEVIL DOG
Made it to the end. And now subscribing to the channel. Love the information. I’m rated 80% and have been struggling getting that extra 20. Hopefully this works.
